I have read different posts on Just lunch. Just lunch is a dating service which seems to be a franchises with locations throughout the United States. I signed up for the Just Lunch in April 2006 when I moved to Orlando, out of 5 dates that I received from 4-2006-1-2007 I actually met 2 people who I have kept contact with and went out with numerous times. One of the girls I dated casually and the other I had a long term relationship which ended in February 2008. I called Just lunch when I started the relationship and they put me on hold, but the relationship ended in 2-08 so I took my membership off of hold and they actually set me up on new dates. I am a very busy person and have tried different dating sites and dating services and I would say Just lunch beats them all. All of the girls I met were of average or above average looks, most petite, educated, and had good jobs. I would recommend Just lunch if you are in the dating arena

I read through the entire It's Just Lunch review that the Consumer Affairs journalist wrote. I must say I was a bit shocked to find what I read, considering I had just dropped a fair chunk of money on the service not 4 days ago. The instances in this report concerning the refunds, is biased and makes the company look bad. If the person who signed up had read the contract, it says IJL has the option to return a pro-rated refund. They don't have to, granted they of course should, but it isn't required. The unprofessionalism, of course is a black mark on their name.

My experience with IJL before my first date even told me something about them. My interviewer called me at 120pm, saying her 1 o'clock finished early, and she was free if I wanted to come earlier. Then I said something about traffic and whatnot and she told me that she appreciated my concern for being late and that the interviews usually take about an hour. That means of course, that the last interview fell far shorter than an hour, seems to give the impression that my matchmaker takes her professionals' list very seriously.

Mine was in deed an hour, and she told me to read the contract while she left, making sure I was clear on all the terms. I am based in Las Vegas, where there are plenty of hard working decent single people, but like so many others, I haven't the time to meet anyone like that. Granted, there were some holes in the information she asked me, but not too many.

My first date with IJL is for tomorrow, and I am looking forward to it, I will definitely be a fair reviewer of the company after my date is completed, and let my matchmaker know whether the match was even close. By the way,1500 for 4 dates and poor choices in guy's is the matchmakers fault, not the companies. The contract clearly states 1 year, or 12 dates, whichever comes LATER. That is their contractual obligations - your 1500 might be good for several years at that rate.

People just need to think about what they're getting themselves into before they do it, and remember that if they get taken for a ride, it does end up being their fault for not being smart enough to do some looking around at the good and the bad beforehand.

I used one month service provided by them, and met two dates. I wanted to quit, but Pamela insisted to hold my account instead of refunding my money (1030 for 6 months). Initally I only asked my remaining money back (663.33). Even so, Pamela kept ignoring me, never called me back, and lied that I have the two dates' phone numbers, which I only had one. So I wanted to ask my full money back (1030) due their ignorance attitude and terrible service.

They promised that they would match me with doctors, lawyers. But they didn't. They promised that they would refund me if I am not satisfied. But they didn't. They promised that 3-4 dates per month, but they didn't. They promised that they would follow up with after each date, but they never did. They didn't provide the services they promised to provide, they broke their contract. I am obligated to have my money back. They are very stingy. They didn't even ask me why I wanted to quit. They just don't want to give my money back. They over-exaggerate their service, mislead their clients. This franchiser should be asked to stop the business. I will fight my rights.

Was hesitant about using such a service given some of the the things I'd read on this website. I decided to sign up for the service partly as an experiment but partly because I really did want to meet new people.

Everyone I spoke to at the local It's Just Lunch office here was very nice and attentive to me. They were concerned about making sure I met new people and explained that this type of service doesn't guarantee instant chemistry but was instead a way to meet some new people that I might not otherwise have met. I have to say that I did meet quite a few very nice and interesting people, along with a dud or two as well, but I guess that goes with the territory. I haven't met my match but I've been generally happy with the service. In any event, I just wanted to offer readers of this site a little bit about my experience and would encourage them to try it if they find themselves too busy or shy to get out and socialize.

I read that you would be happy to hear from some of It’s Just Lunch’s happy clients. I am one of those clients. I am surprised reading the entries on this site. My It’s Just Lunch experience has been very positive. In fact, I have referred two friends, which have also had good experiences with the Kansas City IJL office. I have been in a relationship for 8 months with someone I met thru IJL.

My dates prior to this match were also good ones. Of course, some were better than others, but I believe that is to be expected. I provided feedback after each date and believe my feedback was heard. The staff was always very friendly. I have a very busy work schedule and travel frequently. IJL fit perfectly into my lifestyle. They did all the work for me. I had tried a little on-line dating; however, I was not meeting the quality of people.

I believe the 1500 was justified. What I was doing before wasn’t working and the bar scene wasn’t for me. I read some of the comments about a shortage of men. I don’t think that applies to all offices. It seemed to me that both men and women were being sent on dates. Again, my experience has been a good one. I would highly recommend the KC office.
