It's Just Lunch -- Sandra's Log |
|||||
|
I am attaching my detailed log. That should say it all. *Joined on the premise that Stephanie, It's Just Lunch Director, stated there are "at least 20 men which meet my criteria." I was surprised and confirmed this with her. Eliot--1/14/04 at Big Four (total nerd, no culture, no sophistication or interest in traveling, not into the city, country boy, dull, not dynamic. Called Christian on 1/15/04 and informed her of the above). Also spoke with Stephanie and she said she would call me next week with someone who would match my criteria. It is 1/29/04 and I still have not heard from Stephanie. 2/04/04: finally heard back from IJL. Christian called and said she has a date. His name is Dan, 48 years old, never married, 5'11", green eyes, brown hair, video producer, lives in East Bay, works out, travels, dining. 2/04/04: Christian just called again and scheduled a Wed., 2/11 meeting at Chaya at 7 p.m. w/ Dan. Dan was very polite, nice, videotographer for companies. Went to Argentina to climb the second tallest mountain in the world. Didn't have a connection. A little bit passive. Average/nice looking. *3/11/04: Called Christian and she said she should call w/in two days. 3/21/04: It's been "10 days" and Christian has not called. I called today, and Christian told me that Stephanie no longer works there. I have concerns b/c I have never met the new person nor have they mentioned or called me. I feel like they have just taken my money and blown me off. 3/23/04: Charisma, the new membership director responded to my message. She said she is going to have Christian call me today with a set up. Christian never gave the info that I called or that I wanted to meet someone in SF nor the details re: why I am dissatisfied thus far etc. ; 3/23/04 p.m.: Charisma called back saying she left someone named Bill a message but still hasn't heard back from him. He is a lawyer, 55, divorced, has a house in France, intermed. Tennis player, member of Berkeley Rep. Theater. 3/31/04: I still hadn't heard back from Charisma. It's 12:30 p.m. and I just called her. She apologized for not calling me back but she cannot find someone that meets my criteria (even though I relaxed my criteria quite a bit the last time I spoke to her). Stephanie mislead me during our initial meeting stating there are "about 20 people off the top of her head that would match what I'm looking for." Mark, the owner, is coming to the IJL office today and she has spoken about the issue of not being able to find a match etc. with him. She is asking Mark to make it a priority to call me today. I asked for MY MONEY BACK. I find it hard to believe that since IJL cannot find a match now for me how they intend to find 12 more? 4/01/04 2 10:50 a.m.: Still hadn't heard back from Mark, the owner or Charisma so I just called and spoke to Charisma. She said she is going to have Mark call me today to resolve this matter. I told Charisma that I'd like to resolve this clean and simple and just get a refund however I am getting impatient b/c of my numerous phone calls and no results. 4/1/04 @ 4:05 p.m.: I still haven't heard back from Charisma or Mark, the owner. I really feel like they are blowing me off. I called again and Charisma said she told Mark but he was busy and left the office. She said she will call him again and tell him to call me. I told Charisma that my patience is really wearing thin and that if I don't hear from him soon I will contact the BBB, the Chronicle writer who wrote the article in the 3/31/04 issue etc. Charisma told me that she would feel the same way if she were me. She will call Mark to call me. 4:20 p.m.: Mark just called me and I briefed him on the situation. He wants to review my file to see if he can find a match before we negotiate a refund. He will call me on Mon. I shared my concerns with him. 4/05/04 at 4:40 p.m.: Mark called to say he did not come to the SF office to review my file. He will come to SF on 4/06/04 to review my file and call me then. I said that was fine. Mark called on 4/06/04 and said that he found a doctor, 45 yrs. old named Mark in the East Bay who would be a good match. He said Christian would call on Wed. re: setting up a meeting. He asked if I would go to Oakland to meet him and I reiterated that I really want someone who is in the City and that's what I originally asked for when I signed up. It is 4/9/04 and I still haven't heard back from IJL. I just called now (it's 9:52 a.m. and spoke to Christian). Christian said Mark will call me ASAP -- she will call him on his cell phone now. Gosh, my patience is wearing thin. This is so ridiculous. 4/09/04: It's 3:05 p.m. and Mark called back and said Mark the doctor doesn't want to come to the City but he has someone else. I just told Mark that this has dragged out too long, we're in mid-April and there are no results or progress. Also, there is just too much follow up and effort on my part with IJL with no results. I just want my money back. Mark was hesitant but said he'd call me on Monday to see what we could work out. Tues., 4/13: Mark never called me on Mon., 4/12 to work out a refund as he promised. I just left a message with Christian to have him give me a call . It is 10:55 a.m. now. Gosh, this is sooo much effort. Damage Resulting: It's Just Lunch took my $1295.00 (via check) and is ignoring the refund issue. Charisma, the new director even admitted that she agrees that I was misled and does not blame me for being angry. Charisma also admitted that she cannot find a compatible match for me (they are supposed to find 14) and it is already April 13th. It's taken a lot of telephone calls, emotional energy and stress on me. I just want my refund and make this clean and simple. The owner is dragging this out way too long. |
