Match.com

Tami of Tulsa OK (12/08/08)
I was a member of Match and canceled my membership after getting engaged. Although I did not have problems with them charging me extra, I have continued to experience problems with them using my profile, as if for advertisement because they don't have enough members (my assumption). When this happened the first time a few months ago, I DID find their phone number. However, I cannot find one now so I have emailed them once again to tell them to take me off or I will pursue further legal action.

I singed up for an account at match, but for some reason the user and password I created didn't work. I've never used the service of match.com and called the next day to cancel the account. The customer service representative told me that they have a not refund policy. I asked for her supervisor and she told me they would email me a request for a refund. I have never received the request. Then I sent them an email requesting some follow up but I just got an automatic response telling me to call customer service.

Match has charged my credit card with 72.00 I refused to pay for that charge since I have never received any service from that company. My account was canceled the next day and it was never used. I request a total refund of the 72.00 charge to my credit card.

After your account is cancelled and you have the proper cancellation confirmation codes, they continue to illegally take money out of your account without your knowledge. I am going to file a complaint with the Attorney General for the State of Texas, since match.com has a TX address. I am going to also research to find their registered agent. I work for attorneys so I don't have to pay any legal fees to file suit against match.com.

I just lost my job and cannot afford some frivolous charge being taken out of my account AND I certainly do not want to look at the losers that match.com has in their files. Someone ought to go after this company.

I canceled my account after one month. I have the cancelation notice and everything. They started charging me again 2 months after I canceled and reposted my personal ad that I requested be deleted! Everyone that has a complaint about Match as so need to visit the BBB about them!

I had no idea that these debit were going to continue and b/c of that I incurred overdraft fees as well!

R of Alexandria VA (11/23/08)
I renewed my match membership on 11/18/2008 after closing it in September. After logging in for 3 days and be billed, by Friday my i could not log in. I am a honest hardworking person, I also was told that it was to protect the match community. The work that I do is very sensitve and I'am not sure why this happened but I feel violated and cheated.
