The people at Debt Recovery Solutions have a job to do. This company worked with me even though I could only make small monthly payments. It's time to start paying our debts, America! The company made sure to send me monthly statements of my payments posted.

Hired them to Collect on 3 Commercial Accounts. Out of those 3, 1 of them they collected but took over 98% in Fees leaving my Company in the Red. 2 of the Accounts I have been waiting for Chris ** to send over the Paperwork for Court (2 mo and counting) of which again out of those 2 I have a Signed alien Waiver for 72k of which only received 42k and Chris is still messing around with that Account. These guys STALL, DRAG, Waste Money, Do not Return Calls, extremely POOR Collection Company.

You can never get answers and when you do you get the runaround. Chris ** either doesn’t know how to do his Job, overloaded, or just out to get the bigger Paycheck in his pocket screwing his Clientele over. I’m so pissed that I’m in the Negative still on the Jobs and have NEVER recouped my Raw Costs to the Company as Debt Recovery Resources ROB the Clients.

I have been trying to get this credit bureau to take this off my credit history, because I do not know anything about this loan. I didn't receive a loan and I want it off my credit history. It was for 1602.00. I do not have this money. I filed a complaint and haven't heard from anyone.

Let me start off by saying these people are insanely impossible to deal with. They tried slamming my credit with a 7 year old debt (that was even paid prior), newsflash 7 years and it's history. Needless to say I had to get a credit lawyer involved and they lost. If they hit your credit and it's a old debt don't even call them, appoint a credit lawyer. They are surprisingly cheap and well worth the money, especially when people like this are trying to con you out of money that isn’t even owed majority of the times.

Another Computer Call. Dealing with these people for long time. I have no collectible debts. Never have. 815 Credit Score. My only advice and don't know how good it is. Call block them, returning their call will only make it worse, you will solve nothing, blood pressure will rise. They scrap the bottom for any collections possible real or scam. I call my two credit cards, Chase and Amex. Good luck and God speed. My calls come from 9 years ago when a Dr. overbilled me, she was a friend, verbally straightened out the matter but her billing service never did. Corrected years ago. Debt Recovery never stops and never corrects the facts maybe hoping you will pay to get rid of them, I wonder if even that works and wish I knew how to stop them. Of course talking for people who owe nothing.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I noticed a hospital bill on my credit report. Totally unaware that the hospital never billed my insurance. I called this company to give them my insurance information so they can bill it. They refused to take down my insurance information, then told me I have to pay them IN CASH and refused to remove this from my credit report. I have insurance for a reason. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and disputed this on my credit report.

A computer called my Mother-in-Law, not my son's grandmother to advise my son to call them back. The computer reached her answering machine. It specified that if this wasn't the correct party that they should hang up right then. It would be impossible for an answering machine to hang up and therefore, information regarding my son was given out.

I called the company back to let them know that they must never call that number again. When I asked the name of the company the gentlemen refused until I gave him information. He continue to talk to me in a LOUD voice, so loud that my husband could hear him from across the room. When I tried to get one word in he continued to tell me that he wasn't finished yet. When he finally shut up, I explained to him that I asked the name of his company because of all the fraud out there.

He finally gave me the name of the company and his direct phone number. There has never been an occasion that my Mother-in-Law's name or number could have been given out since her number is not known to my son nor is listed in a phone book. I believe the information they received was through the cooperative efforts of other collection companies. I know this to be the case because of my prior knowledge of the collection systems.

This company claims they got a debt to collected from Verizon in 2013 from my husband for $158. It never showed on his report until December 2016. His father and him share the same name so things get mixed up. I called and explained, and asked to make sure their info was correct if I gave last four of my husband's social and it matched could they confirm correct birthdate. The rep demanded I pay right then on the phone which I refused since my husband has never had an account with Verizon. He wanted me to give him all my husband's info and he refused to confirm anything. And kept demanding I pay the 158. He got irate and hung up on me.

My husband put it in dispute in January 2017. While in dispute I called Verizon with the account number and they confirmed it wasn't my husband's, his social or birthdate was never filed in their system. It was a debt though that of an account my husband's father closed in 2004 (my husband was 16 then) and the debt was collected in 2009. My father in law then told us he paid it twice, once in 2009 and again in 2013. He didn't have proof of payment from 09 but had the receipt from 2013 which shows the $158 amount paid to Debt Recovery Solutions LLC. Which is funny since he paid in 2013 and that's the year they claimed they received the debt in my husband's name.

I tried faxing over the paper I got from Verizon showing the account and original debt was my father in laws which they "misplaced" all three times. I called and was told they don't care about the fax I sent or what I had from Verizon and demand I pay. The guy got irate and told me the only way they will go away is we pay the amount they want/demand. Fed up since my husband disputed in January 2017, it now was May. We were waiting on them to answer to dispute to go forward on getting our loan to buy our home. We have kids we need to put a roof over.

I contacted and put in complaint with CFPB. This freakin place finally answers to the dispute from January now being July/June and claims the debt was submitted to them in 2016 not 2013 and changed the info stating original account from Verizon wasn't from 2004, but 2015. This point we just want our house so most likely stuck paying. The $158 for the time being, but once we sign on the loan and the day after we close I plan to sue this place. I have proof from Verizon the account number they have on file belonged to my father in law, they have no record of my husband ever having an account with them along with my father in laws proof of payment he paid in 2013.

Verizon papers sent to me shows they received the collected debt amount of $158 in 2009, my father in law has the paper with this companies name on it in big letters showing "thank you for your payment collected of $158" dated for 2013. Where did that $158 go? It's MIA? My father in law didn't get it back and Verizon didn't accept it. This place is a joke.

They collected on my father in law twice, second time pocketing the money then they figured to get more from my husband. No way a judge won't ask where this second payment made by my father in law in 2013 went. And the fact Verizon confirmed they are collecting a debt that has been paid off if someone it doesn't belong to. So many lawsuits online I've seen against this place. Seems Debt Recovery Solutions is 50/50. Half the debts they are trying to claim/collect/report are truly debts owed and the other half are bullcrap and they are getting away with it! People stop and look and don't just pay a company a debt. Look into it!

DRS sent me a bill from original creditor Wells Fargo (whom I have been in good standing with since 2005) for $314. They would settle for $235. I immediately called WF and they said it's a scam. I have never had an outstanding debt to them. I filed with the BBB in their town. Also someone wanted their address to start a class action lawsuit. The address on the paperwork I was sent is 6800 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 113E Syosset, NY 11791. They need to be shut down. They are completely fraudulent and belong in prison. This world is hard enough without losers like this harassing people for money they don't owe. Report everything! It's THE ONLY WAY TO STOP CROOKS! God Bless.

My first contact with this company was back in October. I spoke with them when I received a outstanding bill of $720 for services rendered at that time 3 years prior. I contacted them and explained to them I had insurance as well as I contacted the Henrico Doctors' Hospital. I then got on the phone with my old insurance company Anthem HealthKeepers Plus (Medicaid) who did a conference call to the company to tell them that I was in fact covered at that time. They still would NOT ACCEPT THAT. I then had contacted Medicaid again and got them to mail me out verification that I had insurance. It showed that I applied 2013 and it was good - 05/31/2015 then I had to reapply and it restarted 06/01/2015. I am disabled and this is down right wrong. It's sad what they are doing. On top of that the company mailed me a letter themselves stating the account was closed. So now they are not honoring it. I am highly upset. This is a scam and a ripoff.

I originally hired DRS to collect on an outstanding invoice. Pat was very enthusiastic about helping during our initial calls. He would communicate frequently and was very easy to work with. About a month after our first conversation, Pat said that they had successfully collected the debt for me but it would take 30 days for them to remit payment to me. After the 30 days passed, no check had come. It has now been at least 3 months and I have received nothing. I have called dozens of times, emailed the same. No response. There appears to only be two people that work here. The same very rude "receptionist" just transfers me to the same voicemail regardless of my request. Unbelievable that they are still allowed to do business.

We received a letter saying we owed for a doctor bill that was 12 years old! Upon research we found that the doctor and hospital records did not show this debt. Also found that allegedly Debt Recovery Solutions is in collision with other collection agencies who buy and sell old debt records, then try to collect on them, even if the debts have been paid. Contacting them and asking for proof within 30-days is one step you should take. But more importantly, file a complaint with the Consumer Affairs Dept. of the Attorney General's office in your state. Also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of both your and their state. In our case, the Consumer Affairs complaint was what ultimately took care of it... The alleged debt was cleared and our credit was promised not to be tampered with.

This company has called me three times from this number **. The first was a lady, then the last two were men. They claim to be trying to collect on a credit card debt for $1,768 but will settle out of court for $798.57. I called the creditor that they claim I originally opened the account with TWICE and they have no record of me by the credit card number I was given or by my social security number. They have threatened to serve me with court papers if I do not settle. The guy that called me today is going by the name of Jeff **. He says they own the "chain of title" on my account. He said the chain of title was sold to UNIFUND which was sold to DALTY which was sold to US Debt Recovery. Mmm... Is this a scam or what?

I received a call from DRS. They said I have a debt from CitiBank for $4k. Don't even remember having a CC from Citi. Well he kept on talking and said DRS will file a lawsuit in a small claims court in Fr. Bend county for unpaid debt by August 10th 2016. I asked him when was a last transaction made by debtor, he responded by saying in 2006 but in 2010 ARS made a transaction which kept the debt alive and then NCO made a transaction in September 2012 which leave the statute to expire in September 2016.

I asked him again when was the last transaction by debtor. He repeated the whole thing. I said "if ARS or NCO made the transaction that make them a debtor". Then he said "we can settle it for $969." I said "can I counter" and he typed a message and said let him ask his supervisor. My counter was $650 and he accepted. I don't understand if the loan is for $4k how can someone just accept a merely 15% of the debt. I said "I will call you tomorrow to make arrangements for the payment."

Then I spoke to this Law Firm and they said the Time Barred or Statute clocks starts from the 1st day of missed payment and Texas Statute is for 4 years only. She also asked me to ask them to verify the loan and if it is time barred. I called the guy and said "I need verification of debt" which he cut corner and went back to filing the lawsuit. I interrupted him and said "is my debt time barred". He said "NO, because ARS and NCO made transaction". I told him "the transaction has to be by the debtor and in this case if I had the card the last payment was in 2006." He was irritated and said "we'll see you in court" and hung up. Their physical address is a UPS store and the law firm I contacted said they cannot file a federal lawsuit against DRS if there is no physical address. If anyone has a physical address please respond and lets file a Class Action against DRS.

We have been in the process of buying a home. Long story short, I check my credit report and it has dropped OVER 100 points! The offending company on my report showed up as a different number. I called them. They let me know it was with another company, so I called that company. EIGHT numbers later, I ended up with these scumbags. They let me know that they were trying to collect a debt for a medical bill (for which I had insurance to begin with, so I'm not sure what happened there) from 2009. That's right. For SIX years, I receive not a phone call, letter, or anything stating that I still owed anything. I still would not have known, had it not been for Credit Karma notifying me.

So naturally, I call to dispute. I get on the phone with a very uninterested-sounding woman who cut me off mid-sentence and said, "Ok, we will dispute it. Have a nice day." A couple of hours pass by and things aren't making much sense to me, so I call back. I talk to a guy this time, who is slightly more helpful. I tell him, "The last lady had not even confirmed my address, so how would I know when the dispute was settled?" He goes on to tell me that THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ADDRESS ON FILE FOR ME!!! I'm not a genius, but before you can ruin somebody's credit, don't you have to send them a bill and at least GIVE them a chance to pay it? This is the worst.

I called back today, about two weeks later, and got into a heated argument with a guy and demanded to speak to a supervisor. He then told me none were available, that they would call me back, and I insisted that I wanted to speak with one now. He transferred me to another lady (who was not a supervisor), who told me the same thing. I'm just curious, has anyone won the battle with these leeches? What did you have to do? I'm at a loss, other than contacting BBB and an attorney.
