Linda of Altus OK (10/3/03):
On 3/26/03 I signed an agreement for this company to consolidate my credit card payments for $522 per month, reducing my interest charges and making my payments and eliminating my debt in 51 months. Since that time my creditors are calling telling me that the contract of payment was never agreed, that it is illegal for them to contact this company even though the company has a number for me to give them to call them, that my interest charges are not being reduced and that they are not receiving payments as specified.

Georjeana of LaGrange GA (9/25/03):
In Dec. of 02 I decided to use Debt Relievers to get out of debt after they contacted me. After all the information that I gave them they stated that it would cost me $374 monthly to get out of debt. Ater a few months, my creditors stated that they have not gotten anything. I called Debt Relievers regarding this and they told me that it takes time, and while this is taking time they have deducted these payments out of my account. About two months have passed and still there was no action.

Later I called them and stated that I wanted to concel my account and they wanted me to fax them a cancellation notice. I faxed them a notice and still did not receive my deposit back. It has been over 18 months and still I have not received my deposit. I want my money back. It has cost me more money dealing with these people than it would have cost me to get out of debt.

Joseph of Liberty Lake WA (9/23/03):
Began debt relief in July 2003. I have been contacted by my creditors and they tell me that they have not received any money from Debt Relievers. Wheen I contacted Debt Relievers they told me that the process sometimes takes a couple of months to catch up with the paperwork. I was contacted last night again by my creditors and they stated that they still had not heard anything from Debt Relievers. I attempted to contact Debt Relievers this morning and the phone number has been disconnected.

Now I still owe the debt to my creditors and I am now behind in payments by four months. I have made four payments to Debt Relievers and they have not paid out anything. I was not in bad standing with my creditors before I agreed to the Debt Relivers agreement. Now I have numerous no-pays on my credit report thanks to Debt Relievers.

Ardell of New York NY (7/25/03):
Debt Relievers contacted me and told me that they would get my monthly finance charge reduced. I was interested in this because I wanted to pay my debt but not be considered someone who abandoned my responsibilities. I was informed that it would only cost a one time fee of $184.00 of which would be given back to me at the end of the year providing that I successfully complete the program.

This was not the case. They not only took the first $184.00 deducted from my checking account but on the next deduction they took $184.00 and only applied $140.00 to my debts which means they kept an additional $44.00. A total of $552.00 was taken from checking account over a three month period.

I started receiving letters from my credit cards that stated that i had not paid any money to my accounts this was strange to me since three months had passed. I called debt relievers and they told me a lot of things that did not make any sense. I was also told that Debt Relievers would get my monthly rates would be reduced. I began to investigate by calling my credit cards and they informed me that no payments were recieved and no request for reduced monthly interest rates were made.

I

I contacted Debt Relievers and they told me they were releasing the money a total of $140.00 to my debts. I can't understand how if they took $552.00 they were only paying out $140.00. I began to get a bad attitude from several different people as they transfered me from one department to another, after about a week I was told to send something in writing that I wanted to discontinue the program but that they had to inform me that no monies would be refunded. I am having a hard time communicating with these people who were at one time available to talk to and now so elusive.
