I called concerning a creditor that I had already spoken with and explained my plan to, she was rude on the phone with me and kept calling me. When I called FDR your Representative answered my questions and assured me I was doing the right thing.

I was not sure about Debt Consolidation, it seemed "iffy". After talking with Freedom, I felt more confident. I owe the money and bankruptcy was not an option for me. I'm happy I'm paying my bills. I felt better knowing I am doing right by paying what I owe, instead of just bailing out. They are my bills and I am paying them and Freedom helped me do that. Thank you.

Updated on 10/17/2020: Took a little while but it got done very good. Would recommend it to anybody. It saved me some money. They make it easy to pay the payments and are very courteous to what you want to know and what you want to hear from your settlement.

Ever since I have joined Freedom Debt Relief, I am not under pressure of trying to pay my creditors. After surgery that kept me off work for 6 weeks and an ex that disappeared and failed to pay child support, I got behind on my bills and had to use credit which quickly spiraled. I now have 2 out of 5 of my debts that have been negotiated and are in process of being paid off. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, finally.

Received my first settlement and I couldn't be happier. Although I don't like underpaying any creditor, Freedom Debt Relief was able to reduce my balance by 55%. While I am struggling financially, this was beneficial to me to set myself for a debt free retirement in 5 years.

I just started. So far I am happy. I am getting a lot of call from the creditors. That's the only thing so far that I dont like. They call me all the time. Do I need to talk to them? Can I tell them that I am in the program with you people or not? Thanks.

I am starting to feel I've made the right decision. Initially, I was skeptical and even regretting that I have taken this step. My FICO is abysmally low and I get letters in the mail who have not relented. I have the money taken out and it automatically gets put into an account to be parceled out as is appropriate.

The call was to just get some advice about the Consolidation Plus program. As Always, the person I spoke to was very polite and knowledgeable on the subject, and helped me make an informed decision. When I talked to the rep at CP, which is a sister agency to FDR, he was as polite and helpful as all the folks I have talked to at FDR. I think this overall program is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone struggling with a financial situation.

Freedom Debt Relief lets you know what type of plan you're gonna be getting into and what it's gonna cost you monthly. Once they've gotten their fees and reached enough money, then they would talk to the creditor. From there, they go into a negotiation. I had also checked online and Freedom Debt Relief was the top company. My creditors must be okay with them too, because usually the creditors will harass you but with FDR, they have not been giving me a hard time. Many years ago, I did a consolidation and the creditors were off the chain. They were really annoying and disrespectful. But with FDR, the creditors have been no bother. I've had no calls and no disrespect from the creditors. It has been an easy transition for me so far. They had gave me a time frame for a program and then they had set me up. The payment has not been difficult to make either. It fit right in.

We were so excited to start our credit repair journey. My husband and I enrolled in December 2017. We're 16 months in, and 5/7 accounts have settlements on them! We are so grateful for that. Our frustration comes in because we have a few thousand dollars in our account with them, and they continue to tell us that's not enough to try and settle the remaining accounts. My husband and I both feel like they are dragging their feet now to try and get more money out of us being as we made a large deposit. I've expressed my frustration to their customer service and basically get told, "We're sorry but we still need $9000 from you." My 2 remaining accounts don't even total that!!! I was so excited when we started and now I'm just angry and frustrated.

Updated on 10/24/2021: I have another two years on the five-year program. Freedom Debt Relief has helped pay off a lot of my bills. I'm happy about that. If any new reports came up, I got an email right away. I appreciate that. These guys were a lifesaver for me. Also, my credit history has improved. I'm a lot smarter about money. I look more at needs versus wants before I submit to an amount. And I look at it like I'm paying off a car. You buy a car today, you're gonna pay for five years. So the good news is when I pay it off in two years, unless I pay it off sooner, I'll be able to buy a new car. I'm very happy with the service.

It took some patience on my part for the negotiations to begin, but once it started the debt reduction came happily and swiftly. I started this process to help improve my credit and since joining my credit score has dropped to the lowest it has been in my lifetime. I could have maintained doing what I was doing and kept my credit rating at a respectable number. I don't see the advantage to this at all.

Still in process. So far only one of several proposed/desired settlements. Wish payments could be structured better/lower but understand why they are what they are. Not too pleased with the large fee charged by FDR for their services. Seems a bit excessive.

I was paying my bills every month but seeing no way to get ahead the interest was so high that my large payments were barely making a dent. It was nerve wracking to see my credit score drop but after my first settlement I felt so relieved. I work hard and I pay my bills. I have always been responsible. I just could not keep up. As I added another creditor to my list I was concerned after they were calling me frequently about a payment. Every call I included my financial hardship and the phone number to Freedom Debt Relief was provided. But they contd calling. The adm at FDR reassured me that all was in order with this creditor and I was able remain patient and wait as 4 dents had already been resolved and 2 more were upcoming with a projected graduation of 12/20. This works, but you have to be patient and don’t let them fool you I to thinking this will take only 4 months. I’m in month 7 and all is still not settled. Wish they’d be more upfront about timeline and how much you should have in your account before they negotiate.

I came on board back in July of 2018 with over $27,000 in debt. I knew it would take some time to build my account to where they would be able to start paying my creditors and that was the hardest because I had always paid my bills on time and with more than the minimum balance. However, I found myself abusing my credit cards and need to get rid of the debt to have peace of mind.
I am happy to say that as of this writing, 1 of my 7 accounts has been paid off and 3 others are being paid off. I have 3 more in they are working on. I was thrilled with that first paid account. I knew I was doing the right thing. Now with 3 more being paid on, I am excited. I know it will take several months to get them paid off, but I know it will happen and I am pleased with the results of the agreements. I introduced my sister to the program and she is having the same results. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to get out of debt. It takes time, but it is truly worth it.

Updated on 9/3/2021: Freedom Debt Relief has helped me in completing the pay off of my outstanding debt that was like an anchor around my neck. I only have to complete paying FDR Consolidation Plus who gave me a loan to pay off my last debt. This company after 9 months has provided only excuses. Every time I call they say they are one more month away from making progress. One more month means one more deposit. Every time they are supposedly negotiating with a different company. It seems that a lot of the 1 star reviews are from people who have actually been in the program for more than just a little while and they are recent. Maybe something happened to this company. Simply put after 9 months nothing has been done except blame me. Newest excuse, "We don't know the right account number because we can't pull your credit!" So what happened to all the information you collected 9 months ago?

My Best Buy Visa is still sending me late notices. Fees adding up, I scanned a copy of the last bill to you. Customer service. Also, I texted and told you I was served papers, for my Discover account. Why won't you contact them, let them know that you're in control of my credit card no? I might end up in jail. We understand your concerns and we are here to assist you! We do not make contact with your creditors until we have started to negotiate with them. In order to be able to start negotiations on your accounts, there have to be enough funds available in your account to be able to negotiate. Keep in mind since you have enrolled in NLLG the legal representation you have to communicate with them as soon as you have been served with a summons. NLLG needs to be notified within 3 days of you receiving the summons and complaint so they can be able to assist you. After much debate at the end of last year we partnered with Freedom Debt Relief in Jan. 2019. Initial counsel from Stephanie helped us to make a decision about how are debts could be handled. The frustrating part to saying "Yes" was that we weren't behind on a single debt! The debt was only becoming a bigger roadblock and even the payments far beyond minimum weren't working. We signed on to the program with FDR and since funding began in early 2019 - we have a targeted negotiation settled and being disbursed. We are hard-working, honest people whom needing a helping hand and we have Freedom Debt Relief to thank for that! There is a lot of work yet to be done, but we remain firm and diligent in this course of action. Thank you FDR! I find it interesting the initials are synonymous with a very famous President. Updated on 09/30/2019: It has been a great service to decrease past debt and have on our side people to help create order and bring down payments. Unfortunately, the final 2 accounts to bring down took long and even had to remove one so could settle it on a same week period. Have one that is staggering since end of July to be finally settled for my complete program can be graduated. I didn’t like that my credit score taken 2 years to improve, but thankful it finally has tremendously due to my own self and you guys from helping. Last 2 accounts has affected my improvement to be stagnant past 3 months.
Original Review: They have helped me greatly to keep organize in what I owed. I’ve noticed the difference on how they help with my credit score. At first it’s intimidating and scary, but they do help. Wish I understood the breakdown completely. It has helped with a deduction in 75% of everything.

To whom this may concern: I have some concerns in my account. Upon signing up, I agreed to pay a monthly deposit of 448 dollars which has recently been increased to 504 monthly which it's a lot for me. I have been summoned to appear in court three times this week from different debts collectors after I been assured that my initial monthly deposit fee was to consolidate and eliminated any outstanding debts. What exactly am I paying an increased rate for, if you all are not upholding your end of the bargain?

The only way your monthly deposit does increase is if NLLG is working on your legal account and they are needing funds to be able to reach settlements on those time-sensitive accounts. Our intentions are never to put you in a situation where you are faced with creditors suing you as we do inform all of our clients we cannot guarantee that no creditor will not sue. Updated on 03/22/2022: If you want your debt paid off on time for you I will recommend Freedom Debt Relief. Their services are so good and you will be free from debt. My personal loan and my credit card debt was negotiated for me to a smaller amount that you can pay. All you have to do is make sure you pay to your dedicated amount. I had been thinking about it for a long time. I was in between a refinancing the house, bankruptcy, and credit counseling. Everyone was against refinancing, some were in favor of bankruptcy and I looked for a lawyer to talk to and educate myself about it. The I called Freedom Debt Relief. The agent, Jaime **, treated me with respect, professionalism and is genuine. I talked to him for hours, he listened and acknowledged he was listening by asking questions and so on. When he presented the program, I felt a relief that someone else would take care of my credit cards bills!!!! I would definitely refer anyone, friend or not to the program. I don't have to worry about that anymore. I make sure certain amount of money is in the bank and that's it.

Extra bills had occurred for April. I needed to use some of the money I had banked in my FDR account to cover my expenses. No worries. I’m retired as of 2 years ago. Before retiring, I could afford to pay my bills. I had no problems with bill collectors. The first few years wasn’t so bad!!!! Unfortunately I didn’t plan as well for retiring as I thought. Things got very difficult, bills weren’t getting paid, I couldn’t afford to keep my car, buy my prescriptions. I no longer was able to buy very many groceries. From all the stress, I was having daily migraines. It got harder to get out of bed every day!!!!

I did some research on FDR and found that they have a good reputation. With them I paid off my credit cards on a four-year period. During the first three years, everything went very well. They were very professional and competent. But the last year was terrible. I got some misinformation from at least two different people. They were inept and it caused me to be in the program for an additional year. They did not know what they were doing. One person that I contacted told me she would take immediate action, and to call her back in two weeks for the results. I tried numerous times to get a hold of her. She would never take my calls. It was indicative of what I went through for the last year.
I paid money upfront. I contacted them and asked how much money did they need to pay off all the accounts and there were only two remaining of the original five. They paid off one of them, and they didn't pay off the fifth one. So I contacted them numerous times. I said, "Why haven't you paid this off and closed out my account?" I've got different and wrong answers. Each time I would call I'd get a different person. And some of them acted like they just didn't really care. It was just a shame. It was almost like they changed all of their personnel. It was a totally different experience from what it had been for the first three years, which was exceptional. In fact, at one point, I left them a raving review online, very positive review. I would not give them that today. But overall the program did what they told me it would do.

Updated on 8/24/2020: When I tried contacting my rep he never returned my call. When I called someone else they had a hard time finding my account. I never spoke to anyone after that. I just don't like going around and around. I was able to get on the dashboard but got confused. Truthfully at first I was sad for not having my credit cards but was then happy to get rid of the bills.
Original review: I only gave 4 stars because I have only signed up so far. I am happy with everyone I spoke to and I am excited for this to help with my credit card bills. I can't wait until my cards are paid off so I can get out from under the interest charged.

First off I was not represented by the people that FDR said would represent me so I pay money for what. 2nd I can never get an answer on anything. 3rd I get a form in the mail from FDR and they tell me they need to see it. Well if you sent it shouldn't you know what's going on! Can't wait to be out of this program!

I have been in the program for a little over a year making my monthly deposits. FDR settled 2 accounts and is persistent on settling a large account while I have smaller ones that can be taken care of very easily but they tell you the so called professional negotiators know how to interact with certain companies. My opinion is that they insist on the largest account because they get much more money. They also tend to not always be truthful about contacting creditors, they say they did and I did some research on my own to find out that they have not even made any contact since I enrolled with them. For the most part the customer service is very pleasant although some when you ask questions they become very offensive. If you can negotiate your debt on your own I would recommend doing this because you can get the same deal if not better than them and you save money on all the fees.
Mr. Foley, we only make contact with your creditors at the time we begin our negotiations. In the meantime, we're waiting for funds to build up to be able to negotiate with your creditors. We do not contact all your creditors at the same time as there are not enough funds to be able to negotiate all at the same time. The way the creditors will know that you are enrolled in the program is by you changing your contact information to ours and that will direct the creditors to contact us. Our program really does work and has helped many become debt free with the benefits of a reduction to their debt within a short period of time.

I called customer service numerous times. This changing password still can not log on to dashboard to check my activity. You get your payment biweekly with no problem. So why can't I log on to my account? This has been going on for years. I will continue to pay my debt untill Sept 2019 and I should graduate. And I will stop all payments.

So far so good. Very helpful. Just wish they would be able to contact in EST. SEEMS LIKE everyone likes to do work in AM PST. I’m a Morning person and they usually don’t get anything back to you until it’s later in the day EST. They do get back to you when they say so and are always very helpful especially because I am not technically savvy and they take their time in helping me with anything I have to do to get answers back to them.

I have phoned Upright Law to have $1.910 returned to me. I called several times. They said I have to wait 45 business days. I still have not received my money back. I asked Jason ** to phone. He did. No satisfaction. Too many people and companies to contact. I thought this was a straight loan through Freedom Dept Relief. I need my money back ASAP. I will run out of cash by next month after I pay this month's bills.

I am a veteran and the VA sends out things for veterans. And within that email, they sent out information about Freedom Debt Relief. I contacted them and I had great results. My experience with Freedom Debt Relief has been excellent. They negotiated with the creditors. Some of my creditors raised the annual percentage rate and I was going nowhere with the debts. So, Freedom Debt Relief stepped in and they negotiated a lower portion of the settlement, and everything has been good since.
Their consultant was very helpful. I spoke to him several times before I decided to join the program. There was a customer portal for any questions that I had. I had several questions throughout the process and I put the question in the customer service portal, and within 24 hours, they responded back with the answer. I was happy with the answers that they provided. They were very timely and their information was accurate. The payment plan that they set me up with worked out great. I paid a bit more to round it off to an even more, but on the second of each month, they automatically took it out of my account and I was comfortable with the payment that they had initially provided. I added a bit more to make it an even dollar amount.
It has been a lot of stress relieved since working with Freedom. Initially, it was stressful because I didn’t really know what I was about to get into. I've heard a lot of horror stories that it doesn’t work, that you owe more, and that they are just out to get your money. I had one credit card I had for 24 years and I called and asked them to reduce the rate that was 26%, but they would not budge. Freedom Debt Relief was able to step in and negotiate a settlement offer with all of the credit cards. And now, there is a firm date that everything is gonna be paid off. I would have been paying that into my 90s if I would have paid the interest. It seemed like 90% of my payment was going to the interest and only reducing my debt by a very small portion. I tried myself for years but got nowhere. I decided one day to give this a shot and it worked out very well.

Overall good experience. Not happy with having to increase my deposit after being in the program for about 12 months. Legal representation is excellent so far. Once they are informed of a covered situation they do their very best to handle it. I don’t understand why the negotiation fee is taken out before payments are made to the creditors.

Freedom Debt Relief have given me peace of mind! They even negotiated a settlement with a company that had actually started litigation and garnishment. I now pay 1 flat fee per month and they take care of the rest. I am blessed to have found this company.

For anyone who is trying to resolve credit card issues, I highly recommend this. They have been so helpful in getting credit card bills lowered to as much as 50% of the total. We will be totally debt free in August of 2020 and are so looking forward to that. If you need help, this is the way to go. They are great and easy to work with in resolving your debt problems.
