Puru of New York, NY December 26, 2008

Puru of New York NY (12/26/08)
I have place an order for a computer to be shipped to me on 12-24-08 2nd day ground. The order was picked up by FEDEX on 12-21-08 and expected delivery was 12-24-8. I called FEDEX on 12-23-08 and left special instructions to try to ship the package by 2:00pm on 12-24-08. The instructions were given to the driver. I called 4 times on 12-24-08 to track my package but FedEx mentioned that they do not have any way to track the driver. I was waiting for FedEx delivery till 5:00pm on 12-24-08 but all my coworkers were allowed to leave at 1:00pm.

I checked the FedEx website to track the package and it says that they have tried to deliver at 1:31pm, which is not correct. I called FedEx again on 12-24-08 around 7:00pm and they said that the package will be delivered on 12-29-08. I asked why not on 12-26-08 which is a normal business day. Even Stock Exchange is open on 12-26-08 but they said that is closed on that day. I even spoke to one of the FedEx driver and asked him if there was any way to track the package and the driver and advise me where he/she is at. I could have waited little longer for the package. FedEx could have delivered on 12-26-08, 12-27-08.

I was waiting for the computer to finish some project for the job before the Year end. This project needed to be finished. Since, it is not going to be completed, it might effect on my year end evaluation and compensation. I am not sure how am I going to finish the project by the year end.

Amy of Rushville, IL December 26, 2008

Amy of Rushville IL (12/26/08)
I received a phone call on Tues,12/23/08 at 10 am from FedEx. The man replied, this is Chris with FedEx and I have a package for you and was wondering if you could meet me in Rushville because I'm unsure of the roads? I told Chris, no, I just got home from work after working all night and that he worked for FedEx and that was their job to deliver the package to the customer, not my job to meet them and pick it up and I hung up the phone.

By 2 o'clock in the afternoon I had not received any package and called the Quincy, IL FedEx number and spoke with Jay and explained this to him. I also gave Jay my phone number and informed him that if this was not resolved and I did get any results that I would file a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs and Jay responded, there's no need for that. Jay said that this was not his driver and that he would call the manager in Springfield, IL and inform them. I have not received my package or have not heard a response from FedEx.

I have had this happen before during the summer with FedEx and I received a call from a man with FedEx asking if I could meet him in Rushville to pick up my package and I told him the same thing, no. I am very upset because I am sure this was a package was to be delivered in time for Christmas and should have been and wasn't someone needs to be held responsible! I am also very upset that I did not receive a phone call from someone at FedEx following up with this matter and that I still have not receive my package! I know that will NEVER personally use FedEx for shipping because they so unreliable!

Dan of Chicago, IL October 24, 2008

I spent the whole day waiting for my FedEx package today, checking the tracking number every couple of hours. Needless to say, it was important to me and supposed to have been delivered today, Oct 24, 2008. Last time I checked the tracking number was at 5:30pm and it said there was an attempted delivery (A LIE!) at 5:01pm, but that I was not at home! I left a very clear and simple note on the door - to press the top buzzer or call my telephone number. The top buzzer has my name on it. Nobody ever came; there was no note on the door. This driver needs to be fired.

I then called and talked to some very ambivalent customer service reps: Stephanie H. and "Miss Laquita" (would provide no other name, but said her agent number was 625533.) They both told me that the location that now has my package is closed (half an hour after this fictional "delivery attempt"), and that I would have to wait tomorrow. So I have to alter my plans and spend entire day at home. Or maybe another day after that should your lazy liar driver happen to want to duck out a little early to catch that happy hour!

THIS IS HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE. I WILL NEVER USE FEDEX AGAIN AND I WILL INSIST THAT MY PACKAGES, BOTH INBOUND AND OUTBOUND BE SENT USING UPS, DHL, USPS OR ANY OTHER SERVICE.

Sachin of Gainesville, FL October 24, 2008

I was supposed to receive a package from Buydig an online website. They ship packages through fedex. I received the tracking number and from the website I learnt that fedex made 2 attempts to deliver the package to my home. So I called them up and enquired whether 3rd attempt will be made for delivery. I was given an affirmative answer.

So the 3rd day, I waited since morning at my home, keeping the doors open for the fedex guy to show up. At around 1.00 pm I thought of checking the website to see what happened. On the website to my utter shock, i see that they have updated their log by writing "Customer "Customer not available or business closed " and time of log 12.40 pm.

I am sitting at home with all doors open and no one had arrived! I called the Fedex guys and they apologized for the mistake and informed me the driver should be here in another 1.30 hrs. So now I have to wait another hr and I missed an important appointment. I missed a day of research time. Added to that the farce that is fedex website!
