USPS - No Mail Delivery |

DeAngela of Florence, SC October 28, 2009 I haven't been receiving mail in two to three weeks. Yesterday, I met up with the delivery person, and she said because I didn't get my mail in a week's time, she had to take it to the post office, but she assumed I moved, so placed a note concerning my address saying that I moved/changed adress, and for all of my mail to start being returned to the senders. I was told by Robbie who works in the Delivery Department of this Post Office that My mail was stopped on October 2nd, but that was a lie because I have tracking numbers and evidence that mail was still coming to me and that I was still checking my mail afterwards. Not only that, but I have a tracking email confirmation from the US Postal Services about a package that I was supposed to receive and when I was looking for it, it is on the email that it was shipped on October 13, 2009 arrived at the Unit on October 15, 2009, but I still never saw this in my mailbox. Then I get another email saying that on October 21, 2009 the package was sent back because Addressee was unknown. I have been looking for Military records and transcripts to come through, and I have seen any of my mail, as well as gifts from family members because I just graduated with my Master's degree, but I have seen none of this mail because the delivery person said, she took it upon herself to make these changes and all of my mail has been sent back. I have been able to receive my degree yet because it was going to be mailed to me after it was conferred. I have seen any of my bills for the month of October. Her last words to me came in question form, "Are you going to start checking your mail? if so, I can start bringing your mail back. You need to check your mail more regularly!" I have been at my apartment complex for a year and this has never happened. We just got new mailboxes, which are bigger than the ones we had before they changed them, and I never had this problem. if she delivers the mail between 12-2:30 pm and I get off at 5:00 or 5:30 pm on some days, what is that to say that I don't check my mail. I have been checking it, but if they made these changes, and I was not aware, there was nothing given to them by my landlords, no change of address or moving slip signed by me, I don't think that it was right or legal for them to just assume and make changes to something that belongs to me without me saying that, so I believe that it is a federal offense. James of Chicago, IL October 23, 2009 I stay in a (6) six flat building. The mailperson who is suppose to deliver our mail, does'nt deliver to our building everyday. We get mail 2 or 3 days a week. As taxpaying citizens, I feel that our rights are being violated because of this mail service. what is the remedy? Do we get a dependable Mailperson or how do we take this farther? Anita of Kansas City, MO October 20, 2009 I want to find somebody to help me with this mail situation. As I reported before, I have a mailman (John,) who continually messes up the mail in our neighborhood. Mark, Consumer Manager said he would help out on this situation, and I believe he has tried. Unfortunately, my postman continues to do the same. Yesterday, he delivered all my mail to a neighbors home, and delivered no mail to my home. This has been ongoing for years. Ever since John has arrived in this neighborhood. Mark Inglett has given me his word since earlier this year, that things will get better. That has not been the case, in the long run. It's only a matter of days, weeks or months that this problem will reappear. Please do post the letter you said you would post on your site. I am past the point of worrying about contacts. I do want to be contacted by someone who will change this problem permanently. Chet of Amsterdam, NY October 20, 2009 After having the same PO box for over 30 years I have not been receiving any mail in the box . After inquiring a number of times I was told repeadly that the mail was very light . Including my bills etc ? I spoke to Bonnie Ackerknecht who is supposed to be the post master and told her of the problem and she could not or would not help in any way . I own a Insurance agency for 30 + years and sometimes the policyholders will send there checks to me for their premium (which they should not ) and I have had a at least 2 complaints as to why they were not credited . The reason being My PO box has been getting no mail . The post master has a very bad attitude and was of no help at all . I today found out my lock was changed despite my paying the box rent every 6months (Jan & June ever year) , so that would be the reason for NO mail . These people that are going to have a policy lapsed because of the inept postmaster will not be forgiving . Norma of Miami, FL October 20, 2009 I shipped an item using USPS with Delivery Confirmation on the 6th of October 2009 it has been more than 10 days and the item has not been received by the person who is waiting for it. The tracking number states that it hasn't moved since October 7th. I don't know what to do? I hold a small business on eBay and the buyer is waiting for the item. I tried calling customer service but I only get the PBX saying that my item can not be tracked. If this item is not received not only will have I lost the money and the item, but I risk a negative feedback from the buyer which inflects a great deal of stress and business loss. Anita of Kansas City, MO October 19, 2009 I want to write a note of warning that I've been patient for many years now waiting for this postal problem to be fixed. Nothing is being done to fix the nondelivery and haphazard delivery of mail at my residence and my neighborhood. I've written many letters and called many people over the last several years. The only person that ever did anything to help, (even that was temporary,) was my postman's former boss. Jaime his boss now, told me when I called him that he would NOT ENFORCE this postman's correct delivery. I've been dealing with Mark I. since early Summer and have a little hope that he may get around to doing something someday. So far, nothing has been done. I will be speaking to an attorney to get advice on what my next step should be. I've been dealing with my postman (John's) nondelivery and haphazard handling of the mail for many years and have reached the breaking point. It seems that nothing will be done by this postal office to fix the problems I (and my neighbors,) have had with his mail service. This postman cannot be trusted to put the mail in the box, and his boss told me he would do nothing to enforce this delivery. So far, he's told the truth, he has done nothing to fix this problem. He's mis-delivered the mail, and leaves the mail sticking out of the box to be rained on or blown away in the wind. I will not be waiting much longer for this to be fixed by USPS. It's been too many years of bad service.I will be looking into other options if this problem is not handled very soon! Missing mail, bank statements, bills, cards, pictures and letters. Also, promotional items haven't been delivered to me. In our neighborhood, we have at least one suspected drug house and my neighbors and I fear he will deliver credit card and bank statements to this house. TONIA of BUTLER, PA October 19, 2009 I had moved at this address on Sept. 1, 2009. I fill out a change of address form and did reciece mail here for the first month. Once my neighbor moved out and completed his change of address form the mail stop. Bills were sent back to companies and all other mail was sent back. I want to know how to make a complaint to the post office. There website and number is not helpfull. When I went to the post office, the manager [tried] to say it was my fault for not having the box marked but the box was marked. Albert of Manchester, NH October 16, 2009 I ordered an item on line, and had it sent Priority Mail to my home. The item never showed up. On Friday, October 16th, I used the Delivery Confirmation Number provided in my order confirmation e mail from the company to track the item on the USPS web site. The web site showed that the Post Office attempted to deliver the item on October 14th at 2:46 PM and a notice was left. I work in a studio that is three steps from my mail box. I have a window and I see the letter carrier every day. He did not leave a notice of attempted deliver on Oct. 14th, and since the package did not require a signature, he should have just left it in my mail box. The item was shipping in a Small Flat Rate Priority Mail Box. I followed the instructions on the USPS web site and obtained a telephone number to arrange to pick up my package. When I called, the postal worker took my name and the deliver confirmation number and went to find my package. She came back a few minutes later and said they did not have the package. I asked where it was and she said she did not know, but that they would look for it and call me back. About 20 minutes later I got a call from a Supervisor named Jason at the West Side Manchester Substation in Goffstown, NH. He informed me that the letter carrier that day was a substitute for my regular carrier, but that he was a VERY good employee. He then proceeded to tell me that the letter carrier had indeed delivered my package and simply scanned it incorrectly and that he was going to go in and change the scan to reflect that the item had been delivered. I never received the package, and due to the dishonesty of both Supervisor Jason and the letter carrier I am out the cost of the item, and have no recourse with the company that sent it since the post office web site now shows it was delivered. I did take a screen shot of the original post office web site notice showing that the item was not delivered, but Jason the Supervisor tole me that they delivered the package and there was nothing I could do about it. He was rude, uncaring, and simply impossible to deal with. Barbara of Calumet City, IL October 15, 2009 The young woman that delivers mail to portions of River Oaks Towne Houses Cooperative is late almost daily. She is constantly on her cell phone and uses very bad language. This is a constant problem. I received other peoples mail and vice-versa. The mail letter carrier you sent here two weeks ago was extremely efficient. I received my mail early daily and was able to transact business on that particular day. Please return him to this route. I have called and complained before about the female letter carrier. James of Keewatin, MN October 12, 2009 I live in a small town of less than 2000 residents. Some businesses I deal with will only accept a street address. In the over 40 years I have lived here this has not been a problem. The post office has not been delivering some critical mail due to it being addressed to a street address. We live paycheck to paycheck and have been very careful about paying our bills on time. | |||
