Steve of Chino Hills, CA September 20, 2009 About 4 years ago my oldest daughter required a filling which Dr. Fielat performed. The next year the tooth became abscessed and required an extraction at an additional cost. We thought this was just a case of bad luck, but when my youngest daughter also had a filling worked on, that tooth also became abscessed about a year later. Now we are wondering if this is incompetence or intentional. Our new dentist said the tooth is infected because when the filling was completed all bacteria was not removed. My daughter was treated with two different anti-biotics to remove the infection before the tooth could be extracted. Since the infection was so bad, the anti-biotics could not completely remove the infection. Since the tooth is now abscessed standard methods cannot be used due to the sensitivity in the gum surrounding the tooth. My daughter now requires deep sedation requiring an anthesiologist at a cost of $600. The pain, discomfort and stress my daughter has to endure are my main concerns. I submit this complaint with the hopes that other parents will not subject their children to sub standard services Dr. Fielat provides. Report Your Experience
