Devry billed me for twice the quoted price for classes and I took them to small claims court where I won a judgment against them for 6500.00 I am working on trying to collect on this and thought it would be important to update my experiences with Devry in this fresh report. They still continue to refuse to provide my transcript which has now meant that I have to drop out of school until I can get more financial aid. I am also looking for an attorney to seek losses above and beyond small claims limits. Who can put a price tag on delaying a persons education by more than a semester!

I cannot get any further financing of any type and also I cannot transfer to San Diego State University without my transcript from Devry which they continue to hold hostage.

I have no complaints with DeVry. I am a single mother of 2 children and I work fulltime. The night and online classes were perfect for me and helped me obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management. I am now enrolled in the Graduate School of DeVry (Keller Graduate School) to obtain a Masters of Business Administration in Project Management and I will be graduating in June. The bit about the financial aid being disbursed late was only due to the fact they were updating their systems to produce faster turnarounds as well as because the Department of Education changed their rules as to the amount of aid they are giving students every semester. This was not due to the fault of the school. My financial aid has gone through correctly every semester and my instructors were wonderfu. They were informative and knew a lot about their subjects. Many of them worked in their own fields.

I don't understand where all of the complaining is coming from. I believe that both DeVry and Keller are good schools and I would recommend them to anyone.

I attended Devry University online from February 2008 until December 2008. At the beginning of the November session, I had an issue with my financial aid. I was told that I did not have enough and that I could get a graduate plus loan in order to pay for the rest. I did that and thought that everything would be fine. However, as the session went on, my aid did not disburse. I kept calling the school and I was told that their policy is that aid must disburse by the 5th week, and that they could not do anything before then.

Well once the 5th week came, my aid still did not disburse. I was told that I could request a refund advance and that should take about 3 to 4 business days. Well after 5 days the advance was not processed and I had to call the school again. The school informed me they have to package their loans for November until March and that because I was transferring to another university there were overlapping loans. I thought that was stupid since I had already informed the school that I was withdrawing and would not be attending their school in January.

Here it is now, the 7th week of school and I still have not received my aid. This is a terrible school, and I would not recommend them to anyone else.

I have been attending DeVry University for just a little over 2 years now, and I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. I think that attending the prison that is the Texas public school system was by far more bearable. It's not that I couldn't cut it nor has been an issue of handing me an education because I have worked my butt off to be on the Dean's list for every semester (7) that I have attended.

My disappointment stems from the lack of educated instructors at my local campus. It seems as though DeVry hires mostly incompetent morons to instruct such complicated courses as programming and databasing. A student should never be told to go to the internet to find an answer when we're paying such a high price for tuition as it is.

The lies have been laid on thick by the administration and all of the faculty is in on the dirty deed because they know and condone such corruption to go on.

When I registered for the '08 fall semester I was told that I had less credits than what I left with the last semester and financial aid does not recognize their own records as to how many credits I have received.

I came to DeVry for an education, not to go broke with no future.

I am now in debt up to my ears and may get a degree in nothing because apparently employers I have been conversing with are not interested in a DeVry degree. I am paying more now than ever before for what? We are forced to do gobs of work that we were never properly instructed to do. I feel like my money is more important than my education to these jokers.

I have currently been attending Devry for a several months and I don't see what the complaint is. I am currently majoring in health information technology and I will be close to having my associates degree. I live in Dayton Ohio and I have about 3 hospitals trying to hire me as soon as I am done. No school provides you with a job. I mean they all say that, but the only thing that career service can do is offer you a lead.

It sounds to me like alot of the people complaining are just mad because they could not cut it or because they want something handed to them. Devry University is not for everyone. I am a single mother and it allowed me to obtain a good paying career in a short period of time. I will be transferring my credits to the University of Cincinatti when I am done to receive a bachelors in healthcare management. Yes, I have already talked to someone and they do accept their credits. I think that it depends on what you are trying to go to school for, and what your expectations are.

Noone took advantage of me, because I always research every school before I attend it. Thats many of you guys fault. I don't listen to what any advisor or sells person tells me. I find out everything for myself. Before I even attended I contacted hospitals in my area asking if they hired Devry grads and they said yes as long as they were certified. And then I researched to see if Devrys program was accredited by Ahima which it is. So don't be mad because you allowed someone to take control of your life instead of you controlling your own. Ignorance is not bliss.

I am loving Devry
