BMG Music Club

April of Bronx, NY March 19, 2009

April of Bronx NY (03/19/09)
I recently Looked up my credit report on Experian and noticed a charge of 183.00 and I am only 17 years old I have never heard of BMG Music Service Club and I called them up they won't take it off my credit report and I have realized that a lot of people are having a problem with this company. I would like if you can investigate this and please help me take this off my credit report. I don't even think this is a company they are liars and need to be stopped.

Lowered my Credit score and if I have to I will get a lawyer involved.

I received a Letter From National Credit Solutions stating I owe 148.62 for an outstanding debt to BMG Music from March 2005. I never joined, never received any CDs. And I am unable to get in contact with anyone from BMG to straighten out this mess. I was told by National Credit solutions to pay or it will affect my credit report.

Kevin of Gilbert, AZ March 18, 2009

Kevin of Gilbert AZ (03/18/09)
BMG Musicsold an outstanding debt to a collection agency claiming that I owed money. I have not purchased anything from BMG and was told it was an address in Chicago, IL. I live in Phoenix, AZ. I have never received any notice of money owed at any time from BMG. I found out about the collection when I applied for a credit card and was denied due to a collection fied with Experian by National Credit Solutions. BMG will give no information and claim they have sold the debt and I need to contact the collection agency. I believe that BMG Music (part of Sony I think) have knowingly sold debt that they know (or should know) is frauduent. I would be interested in joining class action litigation against the firm.

My credit rating has been decreased, causing me to be denied credit. I have had to fight with both BMG and also with the collection agency...still fighting. Physically it has totally stressed me out. I have never had a late payment and had clean credit prior to this.

BMG says I purchased CD's worth 187 and they have placed it with collection agents and reported to Expreian, and now I have a negative item on my credit report. I asked the collector for the original invoice so I could see what I was invoiced for. No one will provide me with proof, so I have no way of knowing how this 187 was arrived at as BMG CD's were les than 5 each

The effect is a 40 point drop on my credit report. This will affect future interest rates as we were planning on purchasing a house.

Steve of Liberty, IN March 5, 2009

Steve of Liberty IN (03/05/09)
I have been a long time member of BMG Music Service and at one time I entered into a contract with BMG stating that if I immediately bought x number of CDs I would get 1 free CD every year for life; if I bought 2x number of CDs I would get 2 free CDs every year for life. This worked fine and I got my 2 free CDs every year until now. I have been told by their rep that the company has reorganized into a new company called Yourmusic and that my free CDs for life contract will no longer be honored. As I am still alive, I am now being cheated out of years of free CDs that I contracted with BMG for by fulfilling my end of the obligation.

Loss of 2 CDs/year for the remainder of my lifetime.
