BMG Music Club

Mary of Apopka, FL April 8, 2009

Mary of Apopka FL (04/08/09)
When I asked to be removed from this club my balance at the time was 0.00 owed. I never heard from them after my request. they had a sale so I decided to buy once more, but when I went to submit my order a page popped up informing me I could no longer order from them. so I assumed I had been removed from the club. I never received a email statinbg my attempted order was sent. suddenly I began getting bills for the order I placed, but was refused. the very first bill I received was a past due notice. I contacted them immediately explained the order did not go through because I am no longer a member, that I did not receive this order. I received a email stating I was no longer a member and my account would be credited for the order.

when I checked my balance it shows I still owe for one of the selections from that same order. I again contacted them and was told I owed for that single cd plus a late payment fee. I informed them yet again I never received that order I am no longer a member and I wanted my balance to reflect the 0.00 amount owed. they ignored every single word of my message and said they would send me a return coupon so I could return the unwanted cd to them. I angrily informed them I did not have the  cd I never received it. now they are ignoring me completely and adding late charges to my balance. my next step is the BBB and the Attorney General!

They are sending me late notices pestering me for payment on a bill I do NOT owe and I will not pay!

I had a charge of 162 show up on my Experian credit report in March this year. I haven't been a member of BMG since 2005. They sent a bill to collection and I paid it in full in January 2008. Now, they are saying I owe this new bill! My credit score has dropped 50 points! What do I do?

Suzanne of New York, NY April 1, 2009

Suzanne of New York NY (04/01/09)
I checked my credit report today and its 600! It was 780 this time last year. Apparently BMG Music have sent my details to a collection agency for 131 which I did NOT incur. The charges were supposedly incurred in 2005 - 2 years after I lived at the address that they have on file. This is bull. I cannot believe that their errors is affecting my credit score.

My credit score is severely damaged and nobody seems willing to help me. I also do not have the money to pursue this legally as I have been laid off. This is unbelievable!

I checked my credit report and I had this collection on my report, a company I never heard of and I know this is my my account. I have perfect credit, I paid the collection bill because I don't want to ruin my credit, I checked out this company and they have done this to several people, and they do not have a contact number. can you please help me and direct me to the right person, and let me know what to do.

I am in the process of purchasing a home and this is hurting my credit. I need this matter resolved asap. Thank You for your time.
