Lee of Chatsworth, CA March 21, 2006

Movieland software was loaded to my computer from an unknown source. The software contains a pop up screen demanding payment. The pop up jumps in periodically and prohibits me from working until it completes it's unwanted message.

I followed all the company's instructions on removal of the software as soon as I found it on my computer. I managed to find and delete most of it, however I have not been successful in removing their annoying pop up screen.  I cannot find a way to contact them without paying them for an unwanted service.

James of Gadsden, AL March 11, 2006

Some way Movieland was installed on my computer. I do not give out my credit card number over the internet. I do have a paypal account to use with e-bay. It is a problem for me but I will work on removing it. I have a router and run Norton Systemworks in addition to my microsoft detection software. They put it on without my credit card number. My daughter is the configuration manager for a major firm. Shr will try to remove it this weekend.

Geraldine of Tucson, AZ March 10, 2006

Movieland has loaded unbeknownst to me, onto my computer, and they threatening me. I have never downloaded this service and do not want it. I refuse to pay them anything or give them a credit card. These people need to be reported to the Arizona State Attorney General's office. It is a disgrace and I will not be intimidated.

Shirley of Allentown, PA March 8, 2006

I am also a victim of this movieland pop up scam. We never signed up for any movieland and they now keep sending a pop up to my computer -- no system restore or anti-virus program can get rid of it. Something must be done about this company.

Jerome of Waldwick, NJ March 6, 2006

Movieland has illegally put their promotion which you already know about on my computer. It is difficult to remove it without the danger of destroying regestry. How can we get a class action and put them out of business?

Roberta of Goldsboro, NC March 1, 2006

I really do not know what has happened! Movieland is appearing on my screen and claims that I downloaded software and that my 3 day trial is expired and that I need to pay...does not let you out of it! Says it was downloaded on 2-25-06 and that  I am legally binded to pay them! I do not have the software! I do not know what they are talking about!

Schwarten of Muskego, WI March 1, 2006

I am getting pop-ups on my computer screen from a service which I did not subscribe to. The service claims I did and demands payment or else the pop-ups will continue and they will attack my credit rating. MovieLand claims their service was subscribed to on Feb. 14th, 2006 at 10:04:26, a time when nobody is home. I want the pop-ups to stop and I will not pay them even though they threaten me.

I cannot seem to stop them with any program I've tried. I am not computer literate enough to handle complicated downloads and I don't want to pay for a download which may or may not work. Then I'd be paying for their service after all, just somewhere else.

Carol of Oak Hill, WV February 26, 2006

I let someone use my computer and now I keep getting popus to pay for Porno.

I am sixty years old and I am constanly doing work on my computer. I work for the Red Cross and this is very annoying when I am trying to work.

I did not download this program. I am very annoyed that I cannot talk with anyone. I tried to send a email. My next step is to write to my Attorney General.

Labon of Douglasville, GA February 26, 2006

We keep getting annoying pop-ups from Movieland saying that our 3-day trial has ended and we owe money for downloading this service.

Nobody has downloaded anything from these people and we don't want this service. When we try to resolve this problem and get this off of our computer we find that there is no customer service person to speak with, no address or anything else telling us how to get in contact with someone.

There is just a link telling us to give our credit card number to pay them or it will reflect badly on our credit report. If they are being sneaky and installing this on my computer and I can't get rid of it then what would they do with my credit card number? I'm not paying them anything. I don't want this service.

Eugene of Glenburnie, MD February 26, 2006

I recieved a pop-up said I had an account with them and I was responsible for payment. I`ve never even watch any movies.
