Jason of Camden, NJ February 25, 2006

One night I was bombarded from popup ads on my computer. They slowed my machine down to a standstill, and in my haste to get rid of them, I must have clicked on somthing for Movieland. I do not remeber being asked to signup for anything or agree to anything. A few days later this popup shows up on my computer saying that the Movieland Trial Period was over and was told to press the continue button to sign up. There was no way to exit out of this but to push the remind me later button, only to start it all over again. I have looked through just about every file in my system and I cannot find it anywhere. I went to the Movieland website to complain about this to them and it tells me that I am responsible for signing up. It now says I have to pay for the service and if I dont they will go to collection agencies to collect. I don't know what to do about this, and how to get rid of the file.

Simon of London, OTHER February 24, 2006

An unauthorized user (that is also under age) accidently subscribed to the Movieland service that we as a company do not wish to have on our pc's.

Jerry of Painesville, OH February 23, 2006

I began getting a popup demanding payment for this "service" called movieland. I don't even know what this is. It was never requested by me or anyone else in my household. The popup disables everything until it is done and demands payment. No customer support, no phone number absolutely no way to contact these thieves. I work from home on my computer and I will file a lawsuit against them unless they cease and desist with this electronic intimidation.

Rae of Las Vegas, NV February 23, 2006

I started to get a pop-up from Movieland saying my 3 day free trial was over and that I needed to pay them. I never even heard of them nor did I download anything from them. There was no way to get rid of the annoying pop-up which ocurred constantly. There was no way to close it or to contact anyone.

Shelia of Bowling Green, KY February 21, 2006

I began getting a pop up on my computer saying I owe Movieland money. I don't even know what product or program they are trying to make me pay for.  Noone in my household has requested their services and I am not going to pay them.

I am unable to use my computer because this pop up can't be closed and they offer no way to get rid of it with out agreeing to pay them. I am unable to get a phone number or address for them as well.

Carol of Fallston, NC February 20, 2006

I came home to find the Movieland pop-up requesting payment for a service I do not and have never had on my computer.

Everytime I get on line to do work or research this pop-up comes up and slows down my computer. My privacy has been invaded by some trashy company trying to make a quick buck. This had to have sent to my computer since I did not download it and do not want the service.

I have tried to find a contact number but cannot get past the payment page. I also tried in vain to remove it from my computer.

George of Miami, FL February 20, 2006

I keep getting Movieland pop ups and cannont make them stop. I have never subscribed but they insist I did.

I think they should be investigated for their spam advertisments.

Sharon of Layton, UT February 18, 2006

Movieland software downloaded on our home computer. We did not download it, regardless of what the site indicates and we cannot get rid of it.

Every 10 minutes a popup comes on and says we are in violation and they want our money.

Somebody has to do something about this. This seems to be a violation of our time and our computer.

Stephen of Seattle, WA February 18, 2006

A member of my household accidentally logged on to Movieland without realizing that after the 3 day trial, a legal obligation to subscribe would be automatic.

The company is threatening me with a collection agency and black marks on my credit record.

Jay of Termo, CA February 18, 2006

Annoying pop-ups for something never ordered.

Due to these pop-ups I've lost email contact with my Mom's doctors more than once and with the VA while scheduling appointments for myself. I have trouble connecting with the net anyway because of the remoteness of my location, and now movieland is screwing that up.
