Hour Glass

12437 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA

Martyn of Los Angeles writes (1/7/01):
I brought in my eyeglass frames that I had recently purchased from another optometric store to get the perscription filled. I gave them my frame and the perscrition and was told it would be done in less than an hour. I came back in an hour, picked up my frame and proceeded home. Looking at the glasses closer I noticed that the job was very poor and the glass did not fit the frame properly and returned to the store to complain.

The owner proceeded to tell me that they will do the job again while I wait. One hour later the owner approached me and told me that they fixed the lenses but now my frame was significantly damaged. She reassured me that she would take full responsiblity and replace the frame. That was 12/22/00.

Three weeks of phone calls in which I am told to call back later and then am told they will call me back but never do. My patience has reached its end. I have no doubt that lttle or no effort was made to order a new frame to replace the damaged frame.

I am left with damaged goods which in total cost has set me back $400. Frame plus the cost of the lenses.
