Noel of West Gardiner, ME June 19, 2008

I purchased the see clearly method some time ago, I believe in 2004. I was 19 at the time and didn't want to have to wear glasses. taken in by their commercials, I used my debit card to purchase the free 30 day trial for about 8 in shipping. when I got the box with the cassettes and booklet, I used the program for about 3 weeks and decided I did not want to keep it.

I tried for about 2 weeks to get in touch with someone, and when I finally did manage to reach someone (using the number advertised to order the product, since nobody picked up at the other numbers) I was told that I was outside the free return period and refused help. I tried to get an address to send the product back, but they claimed that since I had opened it that I was liable for the money I owed them, and they kept billing me 70 each month. I finally got fed up with it and had my bank stop paying them, and VIT turned the matter over to a collection agency (who I also refused to pay).

The collection agency was demanding, and I finally paid them off to try to salvage what was left of my credit score and get on with my life. VIT continued to bill me after I was informed that it would be taken care of, I bounced several checks and (since I was 19 without much history) the bank reported me to chexsystems (basically a collection agency/reporting agency for banks) and cancelled my checking account. The whole affair ruined my credit standing, and now I can't get a decent loan rate, get a decent credit card, or even good car insurance rates until 2011, when the 7 year deletion finally occurs.

It's the same story with checking accounts, and I'm forced to either pay cash or use money orders (which aren't cheap!) until my seven years are up with chexsystems. VIT really screwed me over, and even if I can't get any money out of them for it, at least I can take pleasure in the fact that they got fined and shut down.

A Free See Clearly Kit was shipped to my address for about 8.75 billed on my credit card. When the package arrived, it contained a video and some charts. We tried to return it. The company gave us phony numbers that only took messages and they never returned your call. Then they tried to charge my credit card for about 302.00 which we denied. Then they turned it over to a collection agency named.

I purchase the DVD for The See Clearly Method. I can't get in touch with anybody to find out why they are still charging my credit card 69.80 every month since. They need to stop billing me. I've closed my credit card but they are still billing me. Since this Company has been order to shut down in Nov '06 by the General Attorney, how are they able to keep billing me?

I decided to try the thirty day free trial offer for the product, provided my credit card info received a box, and read through the booklet. It seems far more complicated than the radio and TV commercials suggested, took more time, and also some excercises seemed to be the type that would not be expected to provide scientific results. After seeing an Optometrist recently, I decided to attempt to return the product for a refund. I called today, and Barbara advised me that VIT was no longer selling The See Clearly Method, and that she would be able to credit my credit card for the 69.80 charge. There would be no further charges, and the product did not need to be returned.

I have to wait to see if they do what they told me. From what I read on the Consumer Affairs website today, this was a very slick fraud taking advantage of people's desire to find a better less expensive alternative to glasses.

Was sold a program called see clearly method that was offered on a 30 day FREE trial basis. After paying approx 160 decided the program was not helping with what it claimed to do, called to return and get refund. I was told if I kept the program the ywoul refund some of my previously paid amount. I never resieves a refund of any amount and was charged two more monthly payments of 60.00. Called to complain and they had no record of offering a partial refund!!!

Out over 350 total, not to mention bank transaction fees for my account being overdrawn due to 60.00 debit that where not expected!

Received product called "See Clearly Method" I tried the product and returned it within the 30 day trial period. My shipment was returned undeliverable. I resent the product which they received after the 30 day trial. They claim I still owe them the total amount of the product approx 350.00. They kept the product but say I still have to pay for something I don't even have and don't want as it didn't work. I have tried to resolve this problem by calling and writing to both "The See Clearly Method" and Vision Improvement Technologies. I also called and wrote to the collection agency they sent my account to.

I tried to call for a return authorization # for The See Clearly Method. I left repeated messages, but no one returned my calls. I sent back their system within the 30 day period and they are still charging my bank account. They claim I didn't follow procedure by getting a Return # first and are still going to charge me the full price.

In my car I ordered the See Clearly Method for 1 payment of 69.80 plus shipping of 9.95. I received the product in May of 2004. Did not open product. They debited my account once in July and then in august. By this time the 30 day guarntee is out. I called them to say I agreed to one payment only. They said it was 5. You are crazy I said I would never pay 5 payments for tapes.

I stopped any further debits. I then sent the product back unopened still and have a return receipt signed by Ron Sten @ Vision Improvement. They sent me to a collection agency called Fidelity Info. Corp. P O Box 1616 Pacific Palisades, Ca. 90272-1616. 800-501-8085. They have reported me under 2 accounts # 4413628-1 & 77576-1. I have disputed this with the 3 credit bureaus with no results. They have caused me to have higher interest rates. I am now wanting to fight these guys. I could pay but I will not. This is fraud to me because they don't debit until the 30 days is gone. They accepted the return of my product and received 1 more payment than I agreed to. They have never been able to play the tape showing I ageed to the 5 payments. I did not agree to this..
