JUDY of JEFFERSONVILLE, IN November 16, 2009

It is Ace Cash that is making threating calls to arrest me via this co. Number stated above but will not make arrangement with me.

Billie of Victoria, TX November 3, 2009

I called a call this morning that i owed the company ace cash express and need to pay 563 today or the police were going to be calle. he said the same this good luck you bilie. I told him i could pay 200 now and the rest by friday. he would not take the 200. What do I do. Some please help me.

Darlene of Ventura, CA November 2, 2009

Called my place of employment to request money that I owe them for payday loan which I had took out last year sometime. He stated he was calling from CAC & Associates on behalf of Ace Cash Express. I requested paperwork and he said that he didn't have no paperwork to send to me. I felt very uncomfortable making any kind of arrangement with him as I googled where he said he was calling from.

Upon looking them up I found no such place existed nor could I find the number he was calling me from. At this point I felt very uncomfortable making any kind of payment arragement unless he provided paperwork, but he said that he couldn't give me paperwork. He said that he was just trying to collect a debt that I owed. He said that I would be contacted by an attorney if I could not make a payment arrangement now. In the past I have dealt with several other representives calling on behalf of Ace Cash Express saying they are attorneys and even law enforcement, but never specifing where exactly they were calling from.

They have made threatening phone calls here at my place of employment. I had one gentleman tell me that I would be arrested at my place of employment if I did not pay them. He even threatened me and said that if he had to he would contact the owner of the company I work for because he said if I can't get the money from you then I will make him aware of what's going on and you don't want that would you. I have asked them several times not to contact my place of employment and they do not care. They still call several times a day.

Frankly I am fed up with their threatening phone calls and just want to work out a payment arragement with them, but first I want paperwork which I have requested on several occasions to no avail. When I request payment arragements they say that they cannot do payment arragements that it has to be the amount in full or else. Frankly I am fed up with all of their run around and never giving me their true identity. Obviously Ace has either given collectors my info or it is indeed Ace trying to pose as Attorneys or law enforcement. At this point I don't know what to believe or how to go about paying the debt I owe with arrangements. I am definately not trying to get out of the money I owe Ace, but they do not have to put me through all of this.

Katrina of St louis, MO October 27, 2009

I got a loan and now owe Ace 425. I plan on paying what I owe, but I simply can't pay as much as they want me to when they want me to. They have been calling me at work harassing me, calling my home, and family and friends and harassing them also. I told my boss what was going on and she is really Kool. She even called Ace herself, and she told me whenever they call again to tranfer the call to her.

I reported them to the FTC and to missouri attorney general office also. I have sent a Cease and Desist communication letter to them and I even faxed it to them. I just wish they harassing phone calls will end. They have caused a lot of stress for me and I have been worryong more about my finances. Even if they would garnish my check that would be fine. Im just tired of the phone calls.

I paid off my cash loans but someone keeps calling me from 714 598 4253 by the name of Blaine Johnson and said I owe this money and I have committed federal check fraud, theft of check by deception and stolen money for the State of Illinois, then I said you mean Idaho, he said yes. They have an affidavit filed and I owe 362.39 plus some thousands worth of fees. Funny thing, I have copies showing these accounts are paid in full and zero balance. They continually call my work but done tell me what it is for.

Cartagena of Santa Ana, CA August 31, 2009

These people have called my job left messages for my manager with a case number. They no longer call my work phone but they called a different department at work wanting to speak to my manager saying I am doing fraud with my work computer because I have not been able to pay what I owe them. They did not have my new phone number. I don't know how they got it but I received a call from case manager Henderson saying I should call her before 3:00 p.m. pacific time or else she was going to move forward.

Dustin of Uniontown, OH January 24, 2009

Dustin of Uniontown OH (01/24/09)
I got a payday loan from Ace Cash Express about 3 months ago (give or take a month). Soon after my wife went on maternity leave for our 4th child (and was to receive only 60% of her pay), and are only car broke down as well, so I was unable to pay it back.

Ace Cash Express began calling me at home, no big deal. I was polite with them although they were very rude, and said enjoy the money loser! before hanging up on multiple calls.

Then Ace decided to call my work. I am a supervisor of a night call center, and when they call there is no secretary at night so I pick up the phone when there is a call. So when Ace called at 4:30 PM (shortly after I had arrived) I explained that I cannot receive calls regarding this at work. The girl said she did not care, and would continue to call until I paid. I explained that that is against the law specifically the FDCPA and I asked for her name, and explained I would be contacting her supervisor, as well as, the attorney general, and a lawyer if they were to call my work again.

About a month or 2 passed before I received a letter from my boss's boss that stated he and numerous others at the company had received numerous calls from a Antwon Wills, and to please call him regarding a loan, and gave me all the details about my account (clearly against the law and the FDCPA). I immediately called Antwon who began yelling and lying stating he can call whoever he wants and that there is no law stating he cannot call my work regarding an investigation. I explained that even if you state it is an investigation it is still an attempt to collect a debt which by law has to be stated during each call, and since he knows not to call my work, which I again reiterated 3 additional times to him while he was on the phone, he is violating the FDCPA and I would be taking legal action if it did not stop immediately. He then went on with some additional lies which again violated the FDCPA stating they were working on putting a hold on my social security card, and driver's license, funny as this has not even been taken to court, and even it were to be taken to court no judge has the aiuthority to put a hold on someone's social security card for not paying a payday loan, duh. Iagain explained stop calling my work and he said F you I will do as I want, and hung up.

About 2 minutes later the same guy calls my cell phone stating he has my boss's boss on the phone (bear in mind my boss's boss was walking out the door as I am on the phone so I knew he was lying) and will I give him authorization to conference us together. I stated I told you already to stop calling my work as I cannot get calls there regarding these type of matters, and further I knew that he was lying because my boss's boss was walking out the door right now. He replied oh wait looks like the call just dropped....ok buddy.

Anyway my boss's boss asked me to take legal action against this company for harrasment and numerous violations of FDCPA. My boss, and my boss's boss both signed letters stating that they have on numerous occassions explained that I cannot get such calls at work as they are not allowed, but the same guy keeps calling anyway giving personal information out in hopes of harrassing me into paying which does not work. So I am going to be filing a complaint with the police tomorrow for phone harrassment, contacting a lawyer Monday, contacting the attorney general, the FTC, and will also be attempting to get a restraining order against both the company and the person since they are breaking federal law and harrassing me at work after being told by numerous people such calls are prohibited.

Everyone who has a problem with this company don't let them walk all over you. Record the conversations with a tape recorder by putting your phone on speaker phone and using a tape recorder to tape it. Then look up the laws reagrding the FDCPA and sue them for each violation. Eacg violation is worth 1,000 each plus damages, mental anguish, etc.

I was passed up for a promotion as a result of their repeated calls stating I was under investigation regarding a payday loan. I am planning on getting a lawyer Monday and taking legal action against this company...so see you in court after all, but I guess it will be on my terms. And P.S. Payday Loans are indeed illegal in Ohio so what you are doing is considered loan sharking, a federal offense.

Sandra of Garland, TX December 31, 2008

Sandra of Garland TX (12/31/08)
I got a loan for 800 and when I could not pay back I renewed and paid to extend the lone 177 dollars every two weeks. None of that went to the loan and then I had to end the loan which ended up about 1700 dollars on an 800 dollar loan. interest is 618.29. This should really be against the law. Please band this type of loan everywhere. I see that a few states have already. This is called usery.

At the time when you get the money you are really desparate and in a bind so you sign your life away and in the end you are in worst shape financially. Also there are late fees involved. Please put a stop to this before someone commits suicide. people who are weak might not be able to pay back and handle the high fees, stress and harassment. The loans are so easy to get and hard to get out of

I am in worse shape now financially then ever before getting rid of this loan. They also called every day and left message on my job to someone elses voice mail. This is embarassing and cost me distress. This should be harassment when I had already spoken with someone to make payment arrangements. I have just be plained stress out and will never apply for another loan again no matter how bad it gets
