Cashcall

Brandi of Delray Beach, FL June 9, 2009

I took out a 2600 loan from Cashcall in 2007 and for one year paid 216.55 on time each month. My husband and I fell on hard times after he lost his job and I was unable to continue to pay them. I called them and let them know that I wasn't able to pay them and I stopped the auto debit. They didn't have a problem stopping the debit, but still expected me to send the payments in.

After about 3 months of non-payment, they started trying to offer me settlements. My settlements went down from 2000 in 2008 to as little as 700 or so dollars as of May 2009. Having been laid off myself in March of 2009, I definitely couldn't afford to shell out any of their settlement offers or their monthly offers. The money is just not their with neither of us working.

Today I got a letter from Brett Yable Law firm representing TK Financial, stating that they are going to place a judgement on me for 3838 and garnish my wages and place a lein on my assets. Apparently, CashCall sold my loan. I am just wondering does the arbitration clause come into affect? I thought we were to have a binding arbitration regarding any dispute that came up between either party, regardless if the loan was sold or not. How do I find out about this?

pamela of elk grove, CA June 3, 2009

i thought i signed a promissary note for 5000, but it turns out to be for 24000.00 at 254.00 a month i would never be able to pay the loan off. I was mislead

Julio of Tamarac, FL May 25, 2009

CASH CALL IS ABUSING!!!! I asked for a loan of 5000.00 and I have done 38 monthly payments 250.00 each, total 9,500.00 . They are telling me my total debt is 21,388.00 that is not 59% is 427% !!! thats insane. They are calling me all the time, sending me letters.

Evelyn of bay minette, AL May 19, 2009

I was loosing my home and needed cash in a hurry. Thinking I couldn't get a loan any where else I went to the internet for help. I borrowed 2500.00 and pay 215.00 a month. I will be paying back over 9000.00 when my loan is paid. My husband is out of work and I'm having trouble keeping my bills paid. I can't beleive we can let people like this get away with this kind of thing.

Tatyana of culver city, CA May 13, 2009

This company is just ridiculus. I understand that it is my falt that I even got a loan from them. Now the reasons don't matter, but what does is that I am trying to pay this off as soon as possible and they just make it as hard as possible for me to do that! I schedule payments every week to be taken off my account and I have to call 2-3 times a week to make sure that it is done. I talk to a representative, they say everything is great, next thing i know there is nothing taken off my bank account and I am still being charged the daily principle. When I call them back, no one knows anything, they cannot tell what system they use to calculate the principle, when my payments will be posted or what amount of money should I pay in order to pay this off sooner.

All they know is just "make extra payments." That is what I am trying to do, but I have to struggle with too. It is horrible! The more payments i try to make, the more problems I run into. I am starting to have a feeling, that they do this on purpose, to make more money, to keep me from paying faster. I have automatic payments scheduled with them and even those I have problems with, they don't take the money off because I make extra payments. They dont's send me any statements, there is no way to look anything up online and the staff is just useless. I talked to one girl once over there, she promised to monitor my account and make sure that all the payments are taken off timely, but I haven't recieved one call from her, and none of the payments were taken off.

I have a full time job, I am pregnant, and I have a 2-year old. I am busy! I don't have time to spend all day on the phone with stupid cashcall to make sure that they do what they are supposed to do. I really feel like I am racing against time to pay this off. I hope they record all their conversations, I will really have a good use of them in court. The worst company I ever had to deal with in my life!

Bret of Las Vegas, NV May 5, 2009

I have never taken out a loan or have had any business dealings with this company. However, for the last two years they have been calling my cell phone looking for another sucker they bilked out of money. I have repeatedly contacted them to get this resolved, yet over these two years I still receive at least 2 calls a week from this inept company. Apparently the only thing they know how to do is steal your money and make phone calls to the wrong people.

Sherwonna of Yorkville IL (04/15/09)
I was seven months pregnant and could not work due to being ill, I had went into preterm labor twice during that time. I needed money to pay my rent for two months. I made the biggest error in life when I borrowed money from Cashcall. I took out a loan of 2,500.00 in January 2007 and have paid faithfully on every 15th day of the month 216.85. I have paid the loan off twice and some.

I recently lost my job due to being mentally sick from this financial strain/stress. I can no longer donate money to them. I am behind on my mortgage, car note, and I have struggled to buy diapers for my child. I heard something about a Usury law, this law suppose to help people like me (us) who haved been taken advantage of.

I applied for a loan in 2005 for 5000.00..big mistake! These people are ruthless, and should be shut down! Now, I'm being sued, for over 4000.00 after I have paid 4500.00 on the loan! I quit after they wouldn't stop their calls to me, family members, my banks were constantly overdrawn because of them, and NO, they won't work with you because they only care about their money! I believe my case will be favorable, since the person collecting on it is charging 10% interest, and since I have my records in order, it shouldn't be much. I'll pay to get them off my back once and for all!

The best advice to give anybody else is either borrow the money from someone else and pay them off, or just let it go to court and pay the 10% interest that their collector charges...it's better than 59%! It's funny that our government will go after criminals for loan sharking and shut them down, yet they will allow a company like CashCall to get away with it and give them judgements in courts...doesn't make sense!

the worst of it was when my mom had open heart surgery and they kept calling her after she told them to stop and why they should stop, but they didn't!
