Cashcall

Maria of Bell, CA February 26, 2009

I have missed one payment due to financial difficulties and a 10% pay cut. I have asked for help from them but they in return asked if I could pawn, borrow, sale any thing that can help get the money to pay them. They call day and night. They have threatened to take me to court. I have not refused to keep paying for this loan. I have simply asked for some help.

I checked my account and I borrowed 5,000 in April 7, 2007. I have made 25 payments at 254.03 making it a total of 6,350.75 that I have paid. But 242.00 has gone to interest and none to the principal. I do not know what to do. I am a single mother and I take care of my own mother. What can I do stop the threats?

I am stressed can not sleep. I live check on check. I can not afford to buy groceries or put gas in my car.

On November 2006 we requested 5k because I had to pay bills and I was never told that my insterest would be 59% and at the end I would finish paying 21,387.03. Now I have made 32 montlhy payments (254each) without delay but I can't continue doing it.

I have a heart disease and I cant even pay a health insurance and Im really streesful because I had a family to take care of, mortgage, bills.

I have the same things to say about Cash Call as all of you have said. I say we stop writing and we get a Class Action Suit against these loan sharks! What do you say? We need everyone to participate and we will come out on top and just maybe we will stop them and get some money returned to us. I will be looking into how to start a Class Action, I hope you will ALL join me!

I took out a loan to save my home last year. I borrowed 2,500 at a whopping 98% interest. I had to do what I had to do to save my home, so I understood I was going to pay a lot of interest. However, after 7 months of consequtive on time payments, I owed 300 more than I borrowed. I was, understandably, quite upset. They refused to discuss the loan, saying they had a signed contract. They talked down to me saying I didn't understand how compounding interest works. I actually have a degree in Economics, I believe I am familiar with a compounding loan. Anyway, I stopped payment, to get their attention.

When they realized I wasn't going to pay until they recalculated the loan appropriately, I was able to even get a reduction in interest to 47%. I still don't believe they are calculating the loan correctly, as I hav been paying at least a week or two early every month, as well as paying 2 to 3 times the payment each time over the past 6 months. I am including the figures displayed on the website. Please notice that on 11-22-08 I made a payment of 130, 30 more than the previous month. However, instead of having 30 more taken from Principle, 19.64 more was taken in interest. The loan should have been smaller, so there is no logical reason for the interest to have been 66% higher.

I have payed 3095.24 on a 2500 loan and still owe a balance of 1640.66. Aside from the period I was fighting the overcharging, I have never been late or low. Most of the time, I have payed well above the 122 minimum payment, as well as being 1-2 weeks early every time. I plan on paying the loan off next month, when I am able to borrow against my 401k. But, I am more than willing to fight based on principle, regadless of my own plight. I am starting to do ok, personally, but these people are praying on the poor like loan sharks.

In Feb. of 2008 we took out a much needed loan from them, 5k to be exact, payments ran us 324.00 a month we have paid so far for 11 months. We made either a choice to pay them in January of put in oil in our tank for heat. Cash call don't care, they want their money, I have since had to close out my bank acct. which i had for 21 years, because they have tried to take the money out even though i explained the situation, and had over-charges now. I figured they can take me to court, I have nothing, we have to take care of food and utilities as this moment.

I am already stressed out, but it has caused my husband to have chest pains at work, due to them calling, I finally told the person from cash call along with emailing them a letter he work does not allow calls.
