Nora of Lake Dallas, TX February 20, 2009
Nora of Lake Dallas TX (02/20/09) I have had my car loan with Chase for 3 years. Recently, I have noticed an increase in the number of phone calls from them if my payment late starting on day one of the delinquency. I began to track the number of calls per day. They call my phone up to 15 times daily. I am not delinquent on my payments and always adhere to any arrangements that I have made. I find these calls to be annoying and harrassing.
Ginger of Okla City, OK February 18, 2009
Ginger of Okla City OK (02/18/09) i have an auto loan with chase bank and am trying to keep my car but intrest rate is very high and i feel as though i should be able to get a better intrest rate i do not have perfect credit but i have fairly good credit just recently purchased a home with no problems got intrest rate of 7 percent. my car is financed with a rate of 10 % intrest rate. i really do not want to loose my vehicle but i may be forced to file bankruptcy because of the high payment that i am paying on my car.
i do not understand why i can not get a better rate, especially since the econmy is so bad, i would rather try to keep my car than to let it get repossed and just sit on a lot without anyone being able to purchase it. if all fails i will just have to let it go back or file bankruptcy and everyone looses. i have paid on this car for a year and have never missed a payment but if i retire in the next 6 mts i will not try to keep this car at the intrest rate that chase is giving me. i will simply let it go back, if i have no income they can get nothing from me, i am willing to try to keep the car after retirement only if they try to work with me
Melanie of Duncanville, TX February 16, 2009
Melanie of Duncanville TX (02/16/09) I call to make a payment on my vehicle on 2/14/09. I spoke with a customer service agent by the name of Kim George. This womam tone of voice was so rude i had to interrupt her. She told me We don't accept prepaid debit cards, we only accept payments from your checking account. O.K. I understand that, but I told her I don't have any money on my checking card so I cant use that card. Kim responded, The bank will be closed Monday so they wont charged you an overdraft charge. How dare this woman assumes on how my bank charges and overdraft charge she does not know who I bank with and she does not know my bank policy. I told her I would mail it in and she stated, Well they will just charge you an extra late fee. Her tone of voice was so unprofessional. At this point I ask to speak with a manager and she told me their were none available. Her tone of voice was very argumentative and she really did not care or let me speak with manager. I hung up at this point and called back spoke to another young man. I wish I would have got his name because he was even more rude. Some People should not work in customer service and these people are one of them. I have recieved so many harrassing calls and Im not even one month late on my car payment. Something should be done about Chase Auto Finance customer service agents, these people need to be retrain or fired. They will treat the next person like this.
Matti of Aurora, CO February 12, 2009
Matti of Aurora CO (02/12/09) I get up to 10 harrasing phone calls A DAY! For a car payment that isn't even a MONTH late. They start calling after the 5th day late. And they will not stop at all. Its my husbands name on the account, but he works out of town and I have to deal with them day and night...sometimes at 7:30 in the morning and at times of 9 at night. I tell them he is not here and wont be until the weekend, and they said oh well we will continue to call everyday. And they do .They wont deal with me at all. I talked to 1 person in charge and asked them to not call until the weekends, when my husband will be home, (this was Mon. 2/9/09) she put a 10 day curtiosy hold on all calls. But I still recieved 6 more calls that night, and then non for 2 days, and then today I start getting them again. The person would not put me through to a person in charge nor would she tell me her name. And when I called again, they hung up on me after they said what they wanted to say, and not listening to me.
Last month we were a bit behind, but still within the same payment month. I called to see if the recieved my payment that I sent off the 24th , they said no and that now I am a HIGH RISK problem and they might REPO my car...WHAT? I was so mad I hung up. The next day, I checked my bank account...the payment went through. Thats a shocker...they have done that before as well. Had the payment for 4 days before putting it through their system and causing a late charge.
Sure its our responsibility to be on time, but we have made every single months payment regardless. We should not be harrased like this. They have told me to Shut up and listen to them. They tell me they can do whatever they want. And that they dont have o deal with me even tho my husband is not around to talk to them. I should not have to deal with this. I am 7 months pregnant and after getting all worked up today, I hurt. I have contacted the BBB on them and Chase has yet to respond to them. they are still working on getting ahold of them. I have found so many complaints on them but yet, they are still able to do this to people.
Its affecting my heath and my sanity. I am having light contractions. economic..who doesnt have economic damages right now. But we still make the payments but now I have spent close to 40 dollars to have my number changed because of them. Jan of Louisville, KY February 11, 2009
Jan of Louisville KY (02/11/09) I co-signed an auto loan for my daughter in 2006 - With the economy downfall we have all had our problems. If she is 10 days late on a payment I will continue to get HARRASSING phone calls. This has been going on for about the last 6 months. She is now a month behind on her payment (she has worked diligently to get this current) and still the Harrassment still comes! I am tired of these calls and if these goof-balls that work for Chase will put them selves in a position such as this, they might wake up to the fact! I will receive at least 6-10 phone calls a day from them and if I know the number, will not answer but they will leave threatening messeages.
They have even gone as far as having someone from out West (an auto recovery company) call to make arrangements to pick the car up. If they want the car instead of their money, they can have it. We are talking about a 2001 Saturn- She has another payment due on 2/15/09 (which she will be making this payment current) and after that I will probably still get calls from these goofies! If the calls continue, I will contact my attorney to have them stopped, especially if the account is current.
