Leola of Orlando, FL February 7, 2009

Leola of Orlando FL (02/07/09)
On December 27, 2008, I purchased a used car from Massey Cadillac in Orlando, Florida. Without my knowing, the car was financed through JP Morgan Chase at an interest rate of 8.29%, an extremely high interest rate, because I could have obtained a 4.75 interest from my local Credit Union. The dealership failed to discuss the interest options with me causing this matter to be overlooked. At any rate, I planned to pay the automobile off at the first billing. But, the Chase account number for my payment was not made available to me until after banking hours, by phone, on February 6, 2009.

It was then that I received a call from a Chase representative saying my auto payment was past due and that I now owed interest on the vehicle from the payment due date of January 26, 2009. I asked how could I have made a payment without an account number. I emphasized the fact that I had looked online for an account number, but there was no auto loan shown on my account. Even early on February 6, 2009 when I paid my open Chase Credit Card account off, there was no information shown of an auto loan. After receiving the late evening call from the Chase representative, I went online and looked again for the auto loan account. It was not there. In fact, I had to wait until the account information was added that evening on the 6th of February, 2009.

Chase Bank is saying I owe interest from January 26, until February 6, 2009. I believe that I'm not responsible for intest because account number was not made available to me. A sales representative at the Massey dealership who I asked about paying off my loan told me I would have to wait for an account number. The Chase Auto Loan Representative online last night claims they sent me an account number by mail and it was returned with the wrong address. They tried to call me, they said, but had an erroneous phone number. How can that be when I had an open account with Chase at the time? I'm refusing to pay the interest amount requested, and I need an attorney's assistance in this matter. I need your help with this fraudulent matter.

The consequences and physical damage is an added charge for interest which I tried to avoid paying in the first place. Someone must have slipped up somewhere and It wasn't me. In fact, there was a tow truck in front of my house on the morning of February 6, 2009 at about 2:00 a.m.. Were they planning to retrieve the vehicle before providing me an account number or opportunity to pay for the vehicle?

My husband has a Chase Auto Loan. My daughter in AZ and myself are getting harrassing phone calls regarding the status of his account. The Rep. Frank tells our daughter that her father is a dead beat and needs to pay his bills. He leaves me messages stating my name and telling me to take care of my husband and his account. I don't even know where they got my number as it is unpublished. We had a home loan with Chase as well as business accounts for more than 17 years.

I am complaining to my local branc manager and I did try to log a complaint against the Rep. with Chase, no surprise I got VM. I plan to close my accounts and go to Bank of America where I don't have problems.

I was going to trade my vehicle, 2002 oldsmobile aurora (loan amount, 12500), to get a vehicle that was easier to maintain and handle my driving style. With tough times i fell two months behind but before I traded it in I made a payment to help a little bit. I already had the dealership that knew my situation and was ready to take the car and put me into something else. Of course chase was harrassing me and I told them i was trading the car in and the lady told me that they had a warrant on the car that would show when the dealership ran the car.

The day I was going to trade in my car, they repo'd it from my job. This was jan of 2008. In march 2008 I received an intent to sell notice stating an auction was going to take place about 3 days later. I've never received anything else about if and how much it was sold for. In may I received papers for a lawsuit. Chase was suing me for over 10k, and that was before the attorney fees. I had that car for over a year, since nov 2006, and I don't understand how i could owe 10k on that car if they sold it. I lost the lawsuit because I didn't have the money to reply at the time. I'm only 24 and already my credit is blown. I don't know what to do!

Harder to get a job since many look at credit, stress trying to get another vehicle (able to get one with a ridiculous interest rate), stress for trying to fix my credit, and fear of garnished wages.

I paid a loan off from Chase Auto Finance. They are trying to send my account to a charge off and reposses my car. On June 1st, an automatic payment was taken out. On June 30th, I paid the balance off the account and Chase Auto Finance sent me the title. On July 1st, Chase sent me a refund check of 7.00. On July 2nd, my bank statement showed that another payment was made to my Chase Loan. It was obviously a mistake, so I asked the bank to stop making payments, and refund the money. On August 21st, I finally got the money back into my account that was taken out in July.

Well, apparantly, the August refund I got went to Chase and they reversed my June payment. They claim they never received the July payment that the bank swears they paid, so they reversed the June payment. So now they are claiming I owe them one more payment. The bank, Chase Repo Chick and I have been on the phone and they are not hearing each other. The Chase Repo girl just keeps telling me that they put a lein on my car and will repossess on Monday if I don't pay them one last payment. She is acting as if I am a criminal.

This is a 70K car that was paid off and the title was sent to me. NOw they are going to send my account to charge off and repo my car for the 1000 balance they claim I owe. The bank has tried to talk to the Repo Chick(her name is LIZ and I pray none of you have to ever deal with her) and she hangs up on me. She tells me that she will repo my car and I just say, I will sue Chase, then she says are you threatening me? Isn't saying she is going to ruin my credit score and repo my car a threat? Anyway ,I don't know what to do, since my bank claims a payment was sent in July (when the car was paid off and account closed) and Chase is saying the bank took away my June payment in August.

Chase Auto Finance is ruining my credit, and will send my account to a charge off. I have bank statements that clearly show I paid off the account and the money was taken out my account and went to Chase. I have received so many fees from the bank and Chase. Plus they are planning on repoing the car. I hope someone can see this as a case and let me know my rights and teach Chase Auto Finance a lesson, that they can not treat consumers like this. They just won't listen when we ask to research the wire trace from the bank. THey just say, we didn't get it.

Just wanted to update my last entry/complaint. I am now back in possession of my vehicle! I took Chase to court and the Judge actually pointed his finger at Chase's representative and told him he will NOT sell my truck! I still feel Chase owes me 2 months of payments, but will deal with that later. Chase had their corporate attorney in court and I had only me, yet I stood strong for what I was sure to be mine! ~~~~ And won!!
