I went into a branch to get pre-approved for an auto loan, they led me to believe that all I needed to do is find out what car I wanted, and to go back with the details and it would all be taken care of that day. I went back into the branch 2 days later, with all the information I needed. The information was not processed that day, and they overpromised, and did not deliver. I called the banker, who told me she would call me right back, after not hearing from her for an hour, I called up their loan department, they told me that they were waiting on more information from me. I sent them proof of income from a property managment company in the form of a statement, that showed income received. They told me this was not good enough, I waited over the weekend, and contacted the property management company, and told them the situation, they forwarded them a lease agreement. Chase told me they would need a tax return from me. I faxed my tax return, and they could not put everything together.

I own 2 homes, I'm a financial advisor, with only 15 k in student loans, and they would not finance 11k for me. My credit car limit on my citi card is 33k, and I haven't even come close to that.

Finally after turning me down, my banker calls me 4 days later, and appologises. Asked if she should dispute it, I told her not to bother, as I've already jumped through enough hoops. I took a personal loan from my parents, of 2500, which they deposited in cash, into my chase account, and were then told that the funds, even though cash, would not be available until the following day.

I check my account the following day, and made many phone calls, and no one seems to have any idea of when the funds should hit my account. I called Wamu, and chase, they have no sign of my transaction, and all gave different reasons to why, and when the funds should hit my account. I made sure to ask each person I spoke with, if they thought the system was stupid, and they all responded yes. Very nice employees, with their hands tied, who believe the system they work in, is stupid. Worst thing is, I never asked to have a chase account, when it was WAMU, the funds came straight in, and I had access to them.

Everything I read about Chase Auto Finance is all negative. I financed my car through them for 60 months and have never missed a payment or ever paid late. I have 12 more to go and hopefully they will all be on time. Even when I lost my job I was still able to pay them. The rare times I called their main number the people were very polite and helpful. I find it hard to believe that all these people have all had such bad experiences as they claim, or that the these workers are that rude. I understand that times are hard and some things are beyond our control, but credit debt, car debt, or any kind of debt is still our responsibilty. So Chase Auto Finance: You're alright with me. Thank you.

Recently, following a crash that totalled my old car, I bought a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. Having been declared 100%totally disabled, I cannot work. I had a business but that failed with the rest of the economy. I paid a downpayment equal to roughly 45% of the price and financed through Chase Auto Finance.

Every month, the day after the due date of the payment, I receive phonecalls from belligerent, aggressive and thug-like individuals which increase in frequency as well as malevolence until the payment is in. They send people to my house, bombard me with mail and are in short; a horrible company to have on your back. Upon investigation on the internet, I found the following website that has no less than 9 extremely long pages of complaints from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY about these people and their tactics (which are of questionable legality.

My mother is going through a financial hardship and called Chase Auto Finance to explain her situation.Gloria told my mother to borrow the money to pay her car note or they will repossess it.Gloria was mean and nasty she told my mother you rather pay your mortgage than your car note. My mother never been late before. She is a single parent and is trying very hard. My mother is depress and unhappy.

I moved temporarily from Colorado to Florida to help care for my Mom, who was undergoing surgery. My mail was forwarded to me but was getting to me late. I knew that I was behind 40 days on my car payment, but I was getting back my deposit check that week from my prior landlord. However this was not good enough for the people at Chase Auto Finance. They continued to harass me daily with phone calls every night. The people that called were thugs, threatening to Repo the car, calling me a liar, telling me to sell whatever I could to make the payment.

When I explained that I would pay it as soon as I got the check, less than 5 days, they continued to berate me and repeatedly asked me why I took the loan if I didnt have any money. Mind you I am paying 20% interest on the loan, was recently laid off, and had moved to Florida to take care of my Mom. These people are vultures and once I get a job, I am going to pay the entire amount off and never EVER deal with Chase again. The people who work for them are pure evil.

Good ideas for people: use a PO Box so they do not know where your car is. Move so that your prior address is the only address they have. Change your email and phone number and NEVER allow them to link your bank account to their automated payment system. Pay them with money orders or pay cash at their banks from different locations every time. They are abusive, rude and absolutely can not be trusted to do anything they say.

I logged onto my Chase Auto Finance account, and paid my bill as I usually do. After paying, I was told that I could set up an auto payment. "An auto payment" I thought. "What an easy way to handle a bill!" Unfortunately, after setting up an auto payment (which was to begin the following month), my initial one-time payment no longer appeared as a pending activity on their website. So, I sent them a message asking if my initial payment was still pending. I was told by C. Peralta that no payment was pending. And really, why would someone give out bad information on something like this?

Acting on the pretense that I would have to resubmit a payment for the month, I put another one-time payment in. This time, it showed up on the Activity log, along with my repeating payment. Christian Peralta gave me bad information. I was charged nearly 1000 for my car payment that month. That might normally be okay, but this was during the holiday season, and I was on a budget. I incurred 175 in overdraft fees because Chase Auto Finance, through C. Peralta and J. Cabrera (who later passed the buck) gave me some bad information.

Through the next two months, I was double-billed twice more, but was ready for it. During that time, I tried to speak to someone who could set things straight for me, as Chase was clearly in the wrong. The people I called on the phone told me a variety of conflicting stories as to how this came about, but I was never able to speak to the same person twice. Eventually, a service representative told me that my account described the double-billing situation as being something that occurred because my bank initiated a payment through the online bill payment option on their website (which I haven't used). The person I spoke with at Chase agreed that if this information was incorrect, I would receive a refund of my money.

So, I got my trusty Bank of America representative on a three-way phone call, and she explained that the double-billing was in fact initiated by Chase Auto Finance, and that this was documented. Seeing I was correct in my objections to a thrice double-billing, the Chase representative told me to collect a claim for their Claims department by getting this documentation, and attaching it to copies of prior correspondance. I did that minutes after receiving the documentation, and I faxed it to Chase Auto Finance.

In spite of receiving this documentation, which came straight from Bank of America, Chase refused to give me any of the money they'd cost me as a result of this. The reason? The double-payments were authorized BY MY BANK'S ONLINE BILLING! When I called about this, I was not allowed to speak to the Claims representative, but I was offered a great deal on a credit card after the denial. I did nothing wrong through this process. I stayed with it, I trusted in their corporate claim system, and I kept paying my bill (though I put a stop to the auto payments). Still, my money is gone, and Chase Auto Finance offers only a disconnected string of poorly informed (though often pleasant, remarkably aware) phone representatives to help me start the whole process over again. All that can come out of this for me is that when the reader of this is thinking about getting a loan, or opening a checking account, they remember my experience, and refuse to give these frauds their money. I incurred 175 in overdraft fees

Been paying 382.18 for over one year on a 2001 Toyota Sequoia, I called to see if it was possible to refinance or otherwise to knock down my monthly payments due to the economic state and some personal problems having to go through eye surgery's.

After three hours and four people later who all told me you have to do this on line. I attempted to refinance on line which turned out to be another dead end, so I called on their "help line" and was told they do not finance vehicles over 5 yrs. old, Duh, its a 2001 after reminding him that they did finance this vehicle he told me the only way would be go to the nearest Chase branch and apply, I live in Massachusetts and there are no branches and his last words were "I dont know what to tell you. I never intend to deal with this bank for another auto loan once I pay this off.

W. of Fairhope, AL June 13, 2009

Paid off our car loan and they can't seem to find my title. They cashed the check, but say they have not record of my payment. I have called them for days, hours and 9 people in one call sometimes I feel they do not know, so they make up whatever they want and run me around department to department. This started over one month ago when they told me to call if I didn't receive my title within 10 days of payoff.

I am trying to make a car payment and they do not take credit card payments.

Sue of New Smyrna Beach, FL June 8, 2009

Last June I was 30 days overdue on my car payment...keep in mind that I was married on June 21, 2008. My mind was way to busy with several other "more important" things and my payment was not made. In the 3 years that I had been with Chase, this was the first time I had been late. After getting my account up to date I was reassured that this would not affect my credit and even saved the letter they sent me saying the same thing.

Today I looked into buying a new car and up popped the delinquent payment on my credit report (doesn't look very good when trying to buy a new car!!!) I can't imagine how this has affected my credit in the past year and am enraged that it is still there.
