Yvonnia of Sodus, NY May 6, 2009 I have an auto loan with Chase auto finance. This is not my first but second auto loan with chase bank. I agree that this company has no since of generosity. During this time in my life I'm having some major financial difficulties. Along with many others in our country. I've made many attempts to refinance my auto loan, dropping the interest rate down. Reminding you that this is my 2nd auto loan in a row with this company. (Just take the time to read all the many ads on the web about helping all incomes get financed) I'm paying 21,000 on a 2006 that is worth only 6,900. I'm not happy with the assistance you get when you call to speak to someone re: options you may have with monthly payments and or who to speak to about your loan. I am now going into my second month past due on my account and I've had it with this bank and it's poor business skills. Jamie of Marlboro, MA May 5, 2009 My credit reportss are recieving negative marks due to the improper internal payment routing at Chase Auto Finance... Each month when I make my regularly scheduled timely payment, it appears on my credit card instead of my auto loan... one month it even appeared on my wife's card? I have cancelled checks, letters from chase appologizing for the internal routing errors, and each month for the last 7 months it happens again and again, and each month they report a late payment to experian... HELP!!! Chase is mishandling my payments and I have proof! and it is ruining my credit... one credit card recently reduced my credit limit due to experians report! Jennifer of Dillonvale , OH April 29, 2009 I have had an auto loan through them for 3.5 years. My interest rate is 20.75%. I am currently out of work and have asked to be refinanced and have been denied. In November of 2008, I was told because of a mistake they made, using my payment to pay someone elses account, that I would not have a payment in November. That my next payment due would be December 2008. I was excited and did not make the payment until December, when reps told be I was in default for my Nov payment. They constantly called me at home, work and on my cell phone. They do not care about their customers or show any concern for the terrible economy, they just want your money! I have read other complaints about the company and felt for once that I was not alone. I have lost my job and things are getting difficult, they did offer a rewrite of my contract, but all that does is lower my payment and extend my loan with the 20.75% and they get even more money from me! R. of Cottonwood, AZ April 27, 2009 Chase financed a car for me in 2006, and payments went great till the economy started collapsing. I experienced three layoffs between August of 08, till Jan of 09. My car payments for a 2001 CRV Honda were 369.00. I've paid over 11,000 on the car. There were also extra payments on principal every month. I still owe just over 9,000 on this car that has almost 300,000 miles on it. Far from cherry when I bought it. It is worth maybe 2000 for trade and the market is so bad I probably could not even get 3000 out of it on a private sale. After paying 100.00 per week to get Feb. payment done, I missed one week due to a contract administration fee slam by an equally evil property management co. that won't make repairs on the house I lease. The next day a tow truck guy was sniffing around to repo the car. I've tried since Aug. of '08 to find a contract administration rep to refi or modify the contract, but can't get anyone on the phone but nasty, rude, stupid, collections people. And guess what, if it were not for bail out tax money compliments of Obama, Chase would be bankrupt. SALLY of PASADENA, CA April 26, 2009 I was late on my payment, I made arrangements to make 2 payments and I did so on October 6, 2008. That evening my car was repossed. I was told that the repo would be stopped and they still took the car. I was told that I could get the car back but I was responsible for the repo fees. I was looking for a way to resolve this matter, but the car was sold on 11/15/08 and I am stuck with a car note now. When I called to inquire about the vehicle, I was talked to and treated very bad. I now have to either catch the bus or pay for a ride with a neighbor or co-workers. Chris of Staten Island, NY April 23, 2009 After having faithfully paid my auto finance installments for several years with never a late payment, I received a late charge notice from CHASE AUTO FINANCE. Calling the toll free number listed on the statement, I explained the situation to the customer service representative. The representative replied that a bill was sent out on time, and that I was now late with my payment. I then told the representative that I had never received the bill in the mail, which was the case. The representative replied that if I were to send in the payment right away, the late charges would be dropped. I promptly sent in the payment. Approximately two weeks later, I received another late charge notice for the next month's payment. Calling customer service again, I explained the situation. This time, the representative replied that I was sent a notice several months ago explaining that CHASE AUTO FINANCE was now going to discontinue sending monthly billing statements, and would be changing to a quarterly ticket book payment arrangement (and that I was supposedly also mailed a book of payment tickets with this communication). I replied that I had never been sent such a notice, nor the book of payment tickets. Instead of apologizing for any inconvenience and assuring me that an envelope with full information as well as ticket book would be promptly sent to me, and that the late charges would be dismissed in light of the situation (because I was always prompt with my previous payments), the representative became argumentive, continually repeating that I was sent the notice of policy change and ticket book, and I am now late in my payment, and that I must have received the notice in the mail but probably did not read it, etc...I then asked to be transferred to a supervisor, but the representative continued to be argumentive. After a long wait (approximately 10 minutes), I was transferred to a supervisor. After explaining the matter to this supervisor, the supervisor, more calmly, repeated what the representative had said. Therefore, no real attempt was made by CHASE AUTO FINANCE to assist me.
