A local furniture store uses this company to offer "12 months same as cash" purchases. I purchased $3,048 in furniture under these terms. The final payment was due by 5/1/02. I use my banks bill paying service. The full amount was deducted from my checking account on 4/22/02 and mailed on 4/23/02. The payment wasn't posted until 5/2/02 along with $700 in interest. Upon receipt of my dispute, Citi Financial offered to credit the account for 50% of those charges, leaving approximately $350 outstanding on the account. I have written several letters but they have no intention of removing these charges from the account. I have spotless credit but have no intention of paying this bill which will blemish my credit record. Jacqueline of Vancouver, BC (3/7/02):
