Citibank's Cards Mysteriously Shut Down

Soochoi of Los Angeles CA (03/21/09)
a few month ago, i received 0.00% balance transfer officer from citi card, so i transfered some balance and to pay the balance, i set up the online auto payment. i did not receive any statement since and i thought i paid monthly payment with this online payment plan, but later, like 2month later i received a letter that my interest rate went up to 28.99% due to the non payment. i called customer service center and they said it takes 30 to 60 days to start online auto payment after initially set up online auto payment. i paid out all the balance including 30% interest for 2 months. i was so upset. why they make the auto payment set up takes more than 30 days? it is so disgusting how they do their business.

On 2/17/209 Citi Mortgage wrongly withdrew 1,011.71 cuasing us a massive banking problem for us. Among the problem was a 118.00 payment for Home Depot credit payment that was return. We called Home Depot on 2/28-3-2/09 to make an check payment over the phone that day in place of the returned check. The call rep agreed to do two things 1- to suspend the late fee for the account and 2- to run the check over the phone that day. Now we are receiving collection calls from citi group global saying we owe the late charges and that we incurred a higher interest rate. They said it was our fault they didn't run the check.

There would not have been a problem had the mortgage company; also citi not wrongly withdraw the funds from our account. They now want us to pay 293 to be caught within the next 20 days. We now have bad marks on our account and are now incurring too many higher interest rates because of this error. My husband is out of work and subsequently cannot afford the 293 amount home depot wants us to pay to be caught up on our account.

I built up a total of 34,688 points with my Quicken credit card. CitiBank sold their Quicken business to Chase Bank. I cannot redeem my points. Have called CitiBank and Chase Bank and was told my points have expired. I earned those points as a loyal customer and now am being stiffed!

Cannot redeem my TravelerMiles points. F. Beltran never got back to me, although he promised he would. I spent and earned those points and now I cannot use them.

As a former employee of AT&T, I was guaranteed the use of my AT&T Universal Card for life with no fees. They have recently cancelled my card, with the excuse that it is because I live overseas. I have lived overseas for over 16 years and they have never said this was a problem before. I want to know why they can just decide to no honor their agreement of use of the card for life with no fees!
