Consumer Complaints

This Chesapeake, Va., company sells TVs and computers for thousands more than their actual value. On top of that, they also sell jewelry. Their scheme is very similar to Blue Hippo, profiled in a ConsumerAffairs.com investigative series.

Virginia consumer protection officials have received "several hundred complaints" about them and the Better Business Bureau has even more, state officials told us. And what do the company's customers say?

I went to Firestone at Diamond Bar for oil changes. Mr. Ray, the supervision of the workshop told me to change my car mouth. Without my knowledge he took out the mouth without change a new one and want me to go back shop the following Saturday due to limited time, as he said it take about 4 hours to fix the problems. He asked me to pay the money first with the reason to order the new mounth for my car. But, I was wondered and refused. Before I got my car to go back home. He gave me my car mouth caverage and left the missing mouth on my car without put it back to the origina place with the reason it was broke and unable to put it back. I went to another car workshop, the mechanic told me that it was dangerous to drive a car without a mounth supporting. I was so upset with the firestone people's irresponsible attitude. What should I do to make a complain about them? Please give me advises.

This company advertises you get a computer with no credit check but you must have a checking account.  They tell you that its on layaway for 13 consecutive payments and then they build and ship your computer. The payments are 35.99 per week. They started taking payments out of my checking account 12/30/2005 and i still have not received my computer.

When I try to call them and ask to speak to a manager or supervisor they hang up on me. The advisers they have answering calls said there is a 60-day delay on shipping as of october 30th so therefore the computer will not be ordered until december 30th. Come on, this is ridiculous. It's almost been a year. They have a no -refund policy.  They are still getting my money out of my account, and I don't want the computer anymore. I want my money back. I calculate at least 6 more payments, I will be done paying for it and it still will not be delivered. I could have put it on layaway at walmart somewhere and already have it.
