GMAC Mortgage paid someone else's county tax out of my escrow in the amount of 3236.75. This other property was in a different county and the tax amount was twice the amount of my tax. My tax is 1636.66. I sent my unpaid tax notice to sonya turner and it was paid. GMAC has me owing both tax amounts in their system making me negative in my escrow.

Even though they know the mistake, I can't get them to correct my account. They keep telling me I have to wait until they get the credit from the other county. I got the incorrect property number that GMAC had in the computer for me and found that tax bill on the internet. A credit was issued on 01/31/06 for the overpayment on that property. Now for the 2006 escrow they have my yearly county tax listed twice making my house payment go up more than it should.
