Cinda of Linden, NC August 11, 2009 Fed up with the constant harrasement from this company. Non-stop phone calls day and night, calling me at work after they have been told several times over the last 11 years not to. Will call on holidays, weekends, doesn't matter. Will call before payment dues, day of due date, and so on. Threaten foreclosure if they do not receive a payment right then. Call my neighbors that aren't even listed on my account. It is ridiculous. I am overwhelmed in regards the complaints against this company. Looked them up on the BBB website and found an "F" rating for them and the complaints satisfied and not were mind blowing. Where's the government? Shari of Hutto, TX August 7, 2009 My loan was ready to be funded. Bank of America told me to call Texas Division of Manufactured Housing and get papers to transfer home from personal property to real property. I called and was told how to get the papers which I did and then found out that Green Tree is not listed on my lien title and upon calling found out they will not put their name on it because "We don't have to". I spoke with the EXE Director of the Texas Dept. of Manufactured Housing and was told that this is true. My loan was returned to me unable to be processed because of this. I was told to go to Consumers Credit Commissioner and file complaints. They also told me to blog all site and file Federal Complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, which I am doing. My bills used to say "entity of Fannie Mae" on them. Look at all the money they were given to help us. Fannie Mae is NO Longer on the bills either. Moore of Spring Valley, CA August 5, 2009 Bank of America sold my loan to Greentree while I was in the process of doing a short sale on my house. After ongoing negotiation with my first lenders, Wells Fargo Bank, Greentree agreed to accept 7200.00 to relieve me of my mortgage. Six months later, I started receiving threating letters and phone calls from Greentree stating that I still owe them the balance of my loan, which is 84,000. They continue to harass me non-stop if after I have told them about the agreement between them and Wells Fargo, stating that I was relieved from all finanical responsibilities. The reason of my short sale was due to my job loss. As I'm still unemployed and practically homeless, Greentree continues to call me, being very rude and unprofessional, regardless of my situation. This has also put a strained relationship between me and my Realtor who I blamed for allowing me to fall into this trap. She mentioned as of January 1, 2008, that those who did a short sale would be relieved from paying the difference. Dale of Chino, CA August 3, 2009 Enclosed is a copy of a bill from Green Tree for the sum of 29.00. We are perplexed as to what this is for. When contacting Green Tree customer service all they could tell us is that it was for insufficient funds. I requested more information on this as this seems like an impossibility. We have had overdraft protection on our bank account for thirty years and can't remember ever using it. Customer service was unable to provide dates or any further information. This home equity line of credit was originally written by Irwin Union Bank/Home Equity. At the time this loan was transferred to green tree there was little more than a handful of change on the account balance. In disagreement with your customer service representative, unless you can show an insufficient funds on our account, with documents supporting this YOU WILL REMOVE THIS CHARGE. If by some strange twist there actually was a true insufficient funds we will be happy to reimburse you and seek restitution from our bank. As it is my right, I am requesting a complete history of my account. glenda of brookfield, , MO August 2, 2009 my husband passed away the 30th of may of this year.i called green tree & told them & contacted the life insurance company that they had 17yrs ago when we bought our trailer new in april 1992. the insurance company sent me the papers to fill out & faxed them back i faxed back. the page i filled out to green tree that they were suppose to fill out the top half & fax back to the life insurance co with a payoff ststement they didnt fax it back. the insurance co has had the papersi faxed to them since the 24th of june.still nothing from green tree as of friday july the 31st. they call me(green tree) everyday several times a day wanting to know when i'm going to make my june & july payment. i told them i have no income now as i took care of my husband the last 4yrs he was disabled & had cancer that doesnt matter to them i got a certified letter last week if i dont make those payments by the 15th of aug. their going to start forclosier on my trailer. Not only that but 2 weeks after my husband died a limb went through my roof i have 3,300 worth of damage i have a tarp over my roof my bedroom ceiling is leaking the adjuster had to put the insurance ck in mine & greentrees name because this isnt settled. green tree wanted me to sign the insurance check & send it to them to put in escrow & they would send me a check for repairs when i got it fixed, i told them no way i pay my own insurance they are not getting their hands on my insurance check,i took the check back to my insurance co. & told them to keep it till i got the title to my trailer & they could take greentrees name off the check. thats not doing my roof & ceilings anygood. So if anyone out there ever buys a mobile home of any kind please do not use greentree they are very rude & unreliable company i was married 38yrs had lots of loans in that time but never one like these people. i hope no one has to go through all that i have.the arguing with these people i have had to is redicules at a trying time with death. Ruth of DePere, WI July 31, 2009 We have been dealing with Green Tree for several years. With the Morgage on our mobel home. Just latly we went to do a morgage modification loan on our trailer. The phone calls have not stoped from them. They say they will not do a morgage modification loan. And that we do not qualify for one. The phone call do not stop. They call from 8am to 10pm every day and even the weekends. I was told if I do not come up with 2 months of payments like yesterday my loan was going into default. My husband got hurt and can not work. I am on SSD I do not know what they want us to do. Willie of Smoaks , SC July 29, 2009 My mother has been paying Green Tree for 42 months now within those months she has been charged 1313.00 in late fees. On 4/14/09 she called in to make a payment for 2 months and the customer service guy noted everything in the account and in June she began to get harrassing phone calls that she had not paid Aprils payment. After calling they said that the Aprils payment went to late fees and they would take care of it, but after a few weeks the calls began again. I am now faxing in a dispute letter to try and get it all worked out. My mom is 70 years old and this company is a nighmare and have treated her so badly that I have to deal with them now. Also when she got the loan they also offered her a ten year insurance policy with a 5000.00 premium that was added to the loan. The insurance company has since went out of business for several years and there has been no adjustment to her account. The only thing that is told us, is that there is no record of an insurance policy. We have copies of the original policy. Emotional disstress and heart problems Christopher of Mineral Wells, WV July 27, 2009 I'm writing in regards to your column on Greentree Services LLC. You state that Greentree says they are working with their consumers who are behind on their mortgages to keep them from defaulting on their loans. This is so so untrue! I personally know this is not the case. I fell behind on my mortgage due to several events of hardship, and I have been unemployed. I have been harrassed by Greentree every single day. I have been called a liar by the collection agent Will Robinson, and he called my wife stupid. They would not accept my payment of 293.00 and said if I did not pay 468.00 then they would start repossession. I tried to explain to them my situation and they kept cutting me off yelling at me and you just simply cannot work with them, which is why they have so many repos. People are telling them to just come and get their homes because of the treatment they are receiving from Greentree. I did a search on the internet and was blown away from the complaints just like myself. They are treating others just like they have myself. Look it up! Our Government needs to step in and do something fast! This is America, we are a free country last time I looked. Travis of albany, GA July 25, 2009 I am behind 2 months with Greentree Servicing and i called to let them know i could not do a check by phone i would mail it because i did not have the 10 dollars i let them know when i would mail it then i was told if it did not get ther in time the irs will place a lawsuit against me take all my belongings i have been struggling with my now 7.25 an hour with 15 hours a week now i got cut back like everyone else and it hard i received my light bill and it jumped from 150 to 300 why i don't know my water bill jumped form 60 to 110 why i don't know i went to the grocery store and wal-mart brand chicken jumped from 3.98 to 4.38 my mortgage is 300 i have honestly been trying so i wanted to know will the irs give me a chance LaTonya of Bennettsville, SC July 23, 2009 I have read several different testimonies about GreenTree and realized I am not the only one who has been dealing with these unproffessional and rude people who makes your dream of owning a home a nightmare the constantly calls me 20times or more day, night and don't forget weekends.I often wonder why they even bother you on your job it had gotten so bad that my boss had me in the office and stated to me that I was receving to many personal calls, I tried onetime to talk to them about my situation oh yeah I forgot to mention that I have been recently diagnose with ms and my husbands been trying to work local just in case I have another eposoid and do you know trying to explained all the truth to the rep all he did was laugh and said Do you know how many people have came up excuses like that Can you believe the nerve of that guy. I have been in my moble home since 1996 and still owe 26,000 and I also asked them about my contracted stated that my late fee is 5.00 and the rep stated to me that's not the contract we have I wonder what kind of contract that is a make believe one I just wish somebody will investigate these people and aother thing they are always telling you they will kick you out and you will be homeless or but mind you my moble home looking at it and all the wear and tear maybe 5000. I just don't understand how we can still owe so much yes I beleive all of us thought we were living the American Dream just to wake up and realize we are in a nightmare I really am thinking about cutting my loses even though we done paid about 50,00 on a 25,000 trailer just so they can't stop harrassing me.
