Trinity Funding

Houston, TX

Alemeshet of San Antonio, TX October 8, 2009

Me and my friend tried to buy a business here in San Antonio. Through the seller, we met a loan officer named Mike L. who works for Trinity Funding, Inc. We started the process of buying the business and agreed to the price. We were approved for a $220,000 loan and put $2,500 down for earnest money. The loan officer traveled back and forth between Houston and San Antonio for the purpose of preparing paperwork and to collect money.

Everything was going smoothly (the inspection was complete and we began looking for a closing date). He had already collected around $17,000 dollars that accumulated over time that was payable to Lehman Brothers. One day, he showed up in San Antonio from Houston. He told me that I had to get a second loan from another bank. I then told him: "We are expecting to close the deal in coming weeks and you told me that I was approved".

Meanwhile, I had the approval paper in my hand which stated: "We are pleased to advise you that Lehman Brothers Bank...has approved total financing in the amount of $220,000". "How come you are now telling me that I have to apply for a second mortage" I then told him. He went back to Houston that day no longer willing to be of assistance.

My agent, me and others tried our best. Nothing happened and the deal was terminated. I lost my money and my time. The deal was good but what could I do. I couldn't hire an attorney to pursue the matter. All this time, I have been deeply hurt by this situation. Not a long time ago, somebody told me about Consumer Affairs Complaint, which I had not previously heard of. I hope I will be able to receive help from you God willingly. Thank you in advance.

As a result of this, my partner went back to Florida and of course, there has been a big impact psychologically. My plan to do a business was completely changed for worse. From 2006 until today, there has not been a day that has gone by without my thinking of it.
