Breuners

Mehdi of Newark, CA, writes:
We purchased some living room furniture from Breuners back in May 2000 with original promissed date of early June 2000. This delivery date was slipped several times and everytime by couple of weeks. In each instance we found out about the delivery slips by calling the store to follow up. Nobody ever called us in advance to notify us of the delays.

Later on we found out that they knew all along that the oproduct won't be ready until sometimes in late July but gave us bogus delivery dates. After spending countless hours, filled with frustration, we finally managed to get them to deliver the furniture on July 27.

On the day of delivery we were notified by the delivery guys that our order has been short shipped and our table is not ready. They didn't know when that table will be ready. They however demanded to collect the whole COD amount including the portion for the table or they threatened to take the whole shipment back. Both side tables were also damaged.

Throughout the next 8 days we spend countless hours again trying to find out the delivery date for the table. They finally told us it will be ready in October, 6 months after the order was placed. All in all their service has been horrific.

They tried to avoid our phone calls and even when we got hold of them each manager tried to avoid responsibility by telling us this is not their responsibility. I will never buy anything from Breuners again and won't recommend it to any of our friends either.

We had to cancel a baby shower party for my wife several times due to lack of furniture in our house and bogus delivery information we got. Spent countless hours over the phone trying to get resolution to our problem.
