We purchased an expensive canopy bed from Arnolds Furniture. When we talked to the salesperson at Arnolds I inquired about the apparent unsturdiness of the model we bought. He advised us that the floor models aren't put together well and that our bed would be sturdy when I assembled it.

We bought the bed and rented a trailer to move the bed from San Diego, where we bought it, to Nevada, where we live. The bed came in boxes and we checked to make sure all the pieces were there.

Once we got home to Nevada, I put the bed together and it was just as bad if not worse than the bed on the show floor. I called Broyhill to complain and they advised me that Arnolds furniture carries the warranty for their products and that we will have to deal with them.

When we called Arnolds they said that since we signed that all the pieces were there that they cannot do anything about the quality of the product. We called Broyhill back and they simply said there is nothing they can do.

We paid $1,100 for this model (millwood creek) and it is going to cost me a couple hundred dollars in lumber and hardware to make the bed useable.

We spent two months' wages on a bed that my child could have built. We were misled by sales people, and then blown off by customer services of both companies. We still do not have the bed fixed and we live in another state than the company (Arnolds) that we bought it from. We will have to rent a U-Haul to take the bed back to them if I don't fix it myself.
