First problem,We were told delivery in the most two weeks, we received delivery in almost three weeks. Second problem, Rushed home from thankgiving out of town for delivery on a saturday to find out they did not bring all the parts to set up our bed. Third problem, The manager at the Select Comfort store who we placed the order with did not order our bed correctly so when we called him about our delivery gone bad he said I'm sorry I messed up, you need to pay me another 1,500.00 on top of the 6,600.00 you have already paid and wait for another delivery date.

The issues just kept on going from there, so we canceled our order, in the process of cancelling our order we got charged 199.99 for them to come pick up our bed that got delivered incomplete ( by the way still has not been picked up ), lost our Chatum and Wells bed they picked up, and have completely wasted my Family and my time. I'm so disgusted in my experience with Select Comfort in the same breath I'm so glad we returned this bed, I feel sorry for people who are going to have any warranty issues if this is any reflection on how they run that company.

lost a beautiful mattress, 199.99 cash, lost priceless family time.

I bought my first Select Comfort in 1997 it is still fine with absolutely no problems. I bought my second bed in Jan. 2008 it arrived with one air mattress leaking. So I called and told complained they swiftly sent a replacement. They paid for return shipping on the old mattress but only if I brought to UPS. They wouldn't pick it up at the house unless I paid 10.00. I told them the only way they are getting is back is if they picked it up for no charge otherwise I am not sending it back. They picked it up. Overall I have been very happy with my Select Comforts I hope I don't have some of the problems these people are having. People should remember that this forum is for complaints I'm sure there are many satisfied customers.

I had read the complaints against Select Comfort and was initially very surprised. My husband and I bought one of their beds over 10yrs. ago and were very happy with it. We had moved twice and set it back up without problems. However, our puppy chewed a hole in one of the tubes and my side of the bed lost air. We repaired the tube but then shortly afterwards the pump started playing up, with loss of air in my air chamber nightly.

Then the remote began to fail. We contacted the company. They gave us instructions to reset it. That didn't work so then they gave us new seals. They didn't work. Then we were given caps to see if the air chamber leaked. It doesn't. We kept telling them the pump would switch on and off without pumping air, and the remote wouldn't reflect accurately the amount of air in the chamber. We loved the product and never had any of the problems described by others until the last few months.

However, although we did not have any problems with their technicians, it was clear that they have a set script they go by, irrespective of the problem you describe. Getting a new pump is almost an impossibility, and only after you have gone through weeks of sleeping on a substandard bed. I also understand that when pumps have been replaced, it is with reconditioned pumps and we would not be prepared to pay the pro rata charge for a reconditioned pump.

My husband and I both have back problems. I have recently had to have back surgery. Select Comfort are now wanting us to replace the hoses and are still not willing to consider replacing the pump or remote. As we have no way of refilling the air chambers once we uncap them, we have given up and bought a new bed. We are still going with an adjustable air mattress, but by a different company - one which has guaranteed the product for life and will provide service engineers should anything go wrong. I am very saddened by the way the company has deteriorated. It appears from everything I have read that neither their product, nor their service, is as good as it was 10-15 yrs ago.

We have owned this bed for approx. 2 years (20 yr. Warrenty) with minimal problems. During this time my wife's side seemed to loose small amounts of pressure. We were told by local dealer that this was caused by room temperature change or that she has a window (sun) side. My side maintained good pressure. This problem (in last month or so) rapidly became so bad that we were reinflating her chamber several times a night.

We called their Customer Service and were told they would send caps to seal off lines, to see if chamber was leaking or if pump was defective. Either way we would be resposible for shipping costs and IF they deemed it defective, since we owned for 2yrs., we would be responsible for large amount of bill. This process could amount to weeks without a chamber. Well 3 weeks later caps arrived for us to diagnosis problem.

On 11/18 I opened bed up (Thank Goodness I Didn't have Mold like others had)and prepared to cap lines. After inflating as was told first line was capped no problem. As I took hold of second line I heard a buzz of air and found that the connector fell apart into two pieces. On 11/19 my 24 yr old daughter called and was assured that we would recieve a new connector Priority Mail in 3 bussiness days. I called today 11/26 and was told We sent it out 11/20, You should have it by Friday. Right.

This causes a grave inconvience as my wife suffers from severe back proplems and has been sleeping on an improperly inflated chamber for all this time. (We were told chambers were not interchangable-so I wasn't able to give her mine).

I guess we were sold a bill of goods (approx. 3,000) and their sales people were good at lying about their Support.

I do not know how to hook the pump up. I found the slit at the head of the bed -- but I cannot find the area to hook the hoses to. We used to live in Fort Pierc, Florida when we bought this unit.
