Several months ago while visiting friends in New Jersey, I was
involved in a car accident. I needed a rental car right away and
my insurance company was of no help to provide me with one.
I checked with several local and some national chain rental offices
and let me tell you, it was nothing but a hassle. First of all,
I had to inconvenience the persons I was staying with to travel
to these places and secondly I found most employees to be less
than sympathetic to my predicament. To make things more difficult,
my credit cards were in Pennsylvania! No one would rent me a car.
After several hours of calling around I finally spoke with an
Enterprise office a couple of towns away. They were very friendly
and even came to pick me up! They let me use my friends credit
card to get the car (the others wouldn't even hear of that!) and
I was zooming on my way quicker than I knew what was going on.
But that isn't where the story ends. I've been in this predicament
before. The last time what happened was after some time, when
my initial deposit wore out, they debit my credit card and take
another deposit. As I'm sure you can imagine, some people don't
have that kind of money sitting in an account somewhere. When
they can no longer take their deposit, they take their car back
(and get very nasty). I depend on my insurance company to reimburse
me so that I can make the payments.
Enterprise was completely sympathetic to my situation and made
accommodations for me. Actually they never even asked me about
deposits. I'm telling you, it was a complete pleasure dealing
with them. I will ALWAYS call them for my car rental needs.

At the last minute, it turned out I would need a rental car for my other business for the weekend. My main business - where I work in Tech Support - has casual Friday, which means that you pretty much could wear your pajammas. I confirmed the reservation online, then misread the address and showed up at the wrong agency. Not only was this agency willing to fullfill my rental claim, but they also rented the car to a 22-year-old drowned rat without even flinching. They called me "ma'am" and were very pleasent to deal with. All my rentals in the future will be with Enterprise, I was really impressed.
