Robert of Garland TX writes (9/20/02):
We purchased a Magnetic Therapy Sleep System on March 28, 2002, with a written 100% Satisfaction Guarantee No Risk Return after 100 days. On July 20, 2002 I began trying to call the company to ask for an authorazation number to return the system. I called day and night for one week and always received a busy signal. I then called Dr. Miller, the sales representative, and asked for her help in contacting the company. She said that she emailed and faxed my request to the company and as of this date we have received no response. We were instructed that we could not return the Sleep System without an authorization number.

The Sleep System did absolutely nothing for our tendonitis or back pains. We purchased the system with our Visa for $954.12. We have not been able to return the system for a 100% full refund as was promised.

Reuel of Las Vegas NV (7/2/02):
Ordered a queen magnetic matress March 19, 2002 for $999.00 plus sales tax. TOTAL $1,071.42. After 60 days, recieved wrong order. At this time I cancelled order and at my own expense UPSed wrong order back to company. I then requested a return of my money including postage of $64.49 it cost me to return their wrong order. I then by certified mail, return receipt on June 4, 2002 requested my money back including postage. TOTAL $1,135.97

I have heard nothing. No phone call or letter. I try to contact them by mail but no response. I try to telephone but am put on hold and after 20 minutes I give up.

Marcela of Whittier CA (4/16/02):
I bought 2 magnetic mattress pads and 2 magnetic car seats in Dec 2001. IT COST ME $2,261.52. I returned them on Feb 26, 2002; the company received them on Feb 28. I was supposed to receive the refund check by Mar 28; to date I have received neither refund check nor apology as to why they are holding my money.

Their first excuse was, their records showed they received the items in March, not February. On Apr 3, someone was good enough to research and finally correct the records to show the items were indeed received on Feb 28. As goodwill, he canceled the processing fee I would have incurred, because I returned the merchandise before the 100-day trial period was up. He said the refund check would be sent out in 3-5 work days.

On Apr 11, I called the company for the status of my refund. The Cust Svc supervisor advised that there was a delay and that the check would be sent out that day by US postal service. I required that the check be sent by overnight mail to. She said it was too late for UPS, but that the check would be sent out the next day for a delivery date of Apr 15. The following day, I called the company for the UPS tracking number. The same Cust Svc supervisor told me that the mail had not yet been picked up by UPS, and that the tracking number should be available late that afternoon.

On Apr 15, I called again for the tracking number. The same Cust Svc supervisor told me that there were some confusing notations in their records and that she needed to clarify them with their chief operations officer. Their COO was supposed to return my call. To date, Apr 16, 8.35 p.m., no phone call, no refund check. European Health Concepts, Inc., has been holding my money for almost three months.

I used my equity line of credit to pay for the merchandise. Now, because I have not returned the money, I am accumulating finance charges. Each time I call the company, my blood pressure goes up because I seem to get nothing but a run-around. My high blood pressure was what made me try the products. That was a lot of money I paid for products that don't work.
