Lisa of Morganton, NC December 23, 2007

On 10/17/07, I ordered a 10-day supply of Hoodia Complex with Green Tea from a pop-up advertisement (supposedly endorsed as well by Oprah Winfrey) indicating it was a free sample whereas the consumer was to pay for shipping and handling. I received the product and the shipping and handling fee was debited from my checking account. On 10/29/07, I discovered another debit from my account in the amount of 69.95 from this same company. Upon calling them immediately, they indicated that I only had a 10-day period in which to cancel. Nowhere on that pop-up advertisement did it say anything about a membership or a 10-day cancellation period. The customer representative of this company directed me to their main website (www.Lipoplex.com, 800-597-8654 or 800-597-8533, also d.b.a. IP Steel Bridge Medical, 6170 W. Lake Mead Blvd., #518, Las Vegas, NV, HoodiaPlex Labs, 10161 Park Run Drive, #150, Las Vegas, NV).

In that website, it indicated a 14-day cancellation period and also indicated a club membership. Based on the dates of order and date of attempted cancellation, I was well within that 14-day period to cancel and obtain a refund. She informed me I had a 10-day cancellation period (nowhere available in writing), however, and refused to refund my account. This is clearly fraudulent and misleading advertising and poor business practice. Additionally, upon doing further research on the internet, I have become aware that many people have been bilked out of their hard-earned money with the same misleading advertising. I also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in Nevada. After their investigation into this matter, I was informed that they attempted to mediate but with unsuccessful resolution of the matter (in terms of refunding my account). After visiting the BBB, doing a search on this company, there are several complaints with this company. In fact, the BBB even indicated on their website that this company claims to be a member of the BBB, but it is not!

Though I was charged an additional 69.95, many others were charged 99 or more. In fact, many complained that they could not get through to customer service in order to cancel and have had these amounts debited from their accounts or charged to their credit cards for months. I do not know if I will recover my loss, but I feel compelled to write on behalf of myself AND others who are losing money to this company under false pretenses. This company is literally making thousands of dollars, probably daily, with their false advertising, unavailable customer service representation, and deceptive practices. Businesses like this one should not be able to continue unjustly scamming people out of their income and sustenance. Thank you very much for your consideration in this matter.

Hoodia fusion has a fraudulent ad online for trial supply of their product. I ordered it, and it never arrived, but the trial was only 4.95 so I didn't worry about it. Now I have received another bill, for 89.97. I have tried to phone, email, do everything. The phone numbers run in circles, the email returned to me as undeliverable. And they are stating I agreed to something, but this is not the case; they cannot give me proof of the order or proof of the agreement.

i ordered a 6 months supply of Hoodia Gordonii Plus, with a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. What a mistake that was This company Ultra Herbal, makes it IMPOSSIBLE for you to return the products! Still, even though they charge you 20/bottle fee to return it, i wanted at least SOME of my money back. I originally applied a month after i started the pills, and was denied because it was too early. They said i have to wait until ALL BOTTLES are finised. I applied for the RMA in June, which was the eligible period and my request was IGNORED!!! NO one got back to me EVER! SO i applied again in Aug, and i was denied again! WHy is it that my ELIGIBLE refund request was IGNORED, yet the other two were PROMPTLY DENIED!? THIS IS A SCAM!! BEWARE!!! HOODIA DOES NOT WORK AT ALL & YOU willNOT get your money back!!

LOST 160 plus shipping!

I, too, ordered the trial from Burnfat.com late one night. I never used it then got the charge for 99.90 and one bottle for one month! I sent it back demninding a refund. She closed my account and said it would be refunded when it was returned. Only the mail lady entered Ontario Canada instead of California. Needless to say--That refund never happened. But the account was closed. Then several months later, a 69.95 charge appeared with no shipment. I disputed this w/my bank and they refunded me the money on 9/11 then the same day a charge was added to my account for Lean RX for 79.95. I disputed this charge too and the bank told me to call the company and try to get the money back. All I got any time was a recording. Then the bank reversed their credit this time. I had my debit card changed for fear they would continue this raping of my account!

I ordered a free trial offer for Hoodia. I paid for shipping and handling with a debit card--Big Mistake. In the past year I have had misc. unknown debits to my checking account--the only product I ever received was the free sample. My account was charged 99.00. I called for a refund and was told it was too bad I did not receive the product as it was shipped. No Refund. In September 08,2006 my account was again charged 79.95. It took dozens of calls to 800 296 2029. I finally spoke with Daisy who said it had not shipped so she was to refund the 79.95. She gave me confirmation number 5368687. If I had a problem I was to call 909 947 2710...this number Is for Nova Point....the will only transfer to Lean RX . A machine answers and the calls a never returned. I have been ripped off. How can I stop the charges to debit card?

99.00 plus 79.95 charged for products I did not receive.

Around 10/13-10/15 I ordered a free sample of Hoodia pills. Believe all I was paying for was the shipping. I have the statement online on my bank account 4.97 charged for shipping on 10/13 or 15. Now it's 11/03/2006 I still have not recieved the free sample and also Suddenly I have 99.41 dollars missing from my bank account. I called my credit union they said to call 801-253-7770 and was referred to 1800-757-1279 to speak with Chantel the manager. I told her I never recieved my sample plus now I'm charged for a 2 month's supply of something I do not know if I like it. It hasn't even been a month yet, since I purchased the free sample and did not even recieve it. What's up with this?? She says they do not do refunds and the 2 month's worth is already shipped out. Probably will never see that shipment either. Now because of a shady company all of us on this consumer complaint report site and many more have all been scammed.

I ordered a free Hoodia sample on line after seeing it advertised on Dateline. I was responsible for shipping only. I received the pills. About a month later my debit card was charged 99.00. Then on 9/5/06 I had another charge of 79.95 from Lean Rx. I called the 800# & got a message stating to leave my & someone would call back, but no one ever did. I did an online search & apparently many people were scammed the same way I was.

I wasn't expecting those charges so I bounced checks. I didn't have the money for this. Now I'm scared this will keep happening!

Other address I was given PO Box 125, Draper, UT 48020 and other phone number is 800-370-7271. I ordered a free sample of Hoodia online in March 2006. I received 2 bottles with a 99.90 charge prior to receiving my free sample. I then received 2 separate shipments which were free samples. I paid the shipping fees (3.95 for one and 5.95 for the other). I then received yet another shipment of Hoodia for 97.41. When I received the first shipment with the 99.90 charge, I called to cancel.

Each time I was told the account was cancelled but they would not refund me. When I was charged for the 2nd shipment I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there wasn't a supervisor to speak to. I called several more times and tried to get more demanding about a refund each time. I was told 3 times that I would get a refund but never have gotten it. I called my credit card company in June or July to have the charges reversed as unauthorized. I was told that you have to be careful when you order online, there is fine print that gives the company you ordered from the right to charge you, so it is not considered an 'unauthorized' charge. Therefore, the credit card company wouldn't reverse the charges. They told me because of the fine print, I did authorize all the charges.

I returned all the bottles of Hoodia to the Utah address with a letter included. Received no response. I have written to both the CT and UT addresses requesting a reversal of the charges - haven't heard anything. I still have the UPS receipt showing that I shipped the items back. I also verified with UPS that the shipment was received and noted this in the letters. It all leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and I feel like such a sucker!

My credit card bill is high and another 200 on it pinches my budget that much more. I think it's more physical because I can't believe I was such a dummy to think I could get a free sample to see if the product worked for me. I shouldn't have wanted the easy way out but was hoping the Hoodia might help give me a little start in the right direction.

Jolana of Falls City, NE September 26, 2006

I had ordered the free sample of Hoodia for the 3.95 and also ordered the first shipment of like 100.00, then after canceling, they continued TWICE TO TAKE 79.95 from my account, only using LEAN RX as the name and a CA phone number which i left ENDLESS MESSAGES and never did talk to a live person, NOR did anyone ever call me back as ASKED THEM TO DO? I also did not get two more packages EITHER!

Darla of Danville, PA September 20, 2006

On March 13,2006 I ordered a free sample ofHoodia Thin (14 capsules) and paid the 4.95 with my debit card. After I got the Hoodia Thin I cancelled the order. On my bank statement it had Burn Fat2/Hoodia66-BurnFat Hoodia and the phone Number 1-800-370-7271. I had not heard a word from them until Sept.5,2006 LeanRx took 79.95 out of my checking account. On my bank statement it hadLean Rx Ontario Ca. 1800-296-2029. I called the number about 15 times and all I get is a women telling me that someone will be with me in a few minuets. I wait and then a man comes on and tells you to leave your phone # and a message and they will call you back,

No one has called me back so I called my credit union and told them what happened and cancelled my debit card and had to pay 10.00 so this Co. can't take any more money out of my account. I have tried to call the 1-800-370-7271 and that number has been disconnected. I got on a Rip Off Report web sight and found out this Info. I filed a report on there site too. I just don't know why these people after all this time just take you money for nothing. I hope they are caught and put in Jail.

I was real upset when I found out money I have to live on month to month was taken without my consent. I am so glad I did not have any other checks out that when Lean Rx Hoodia took 79.95 that I didd't have any checks bounce. I need my money returned and so do all the other people that they ripped off.
