John of Springfield, IL October 9, 2009 I bought the latest copy of "Kevin Trudeau's Free Money" book and i will have to say that 1/2 or more isn't true. Free grants to individuals is one. Some of the e-mail address aren't correct.I believe the guy didn't do his homework in writting this book. Steve of Hamilton, OH October 6, 2009 Kevin Treudau's book free money was worthless. I am a 60 year old white male, and there is nothing for me. They did accpt my return but kept the shipping and handling of 30. beveanne of ft mohave, AZ October 5, 2009 i found all of the books at yard sales and thrift stores and paid around 1 dollar each-definitly go to the library the information is there its not worth the headache or hassle the people i bought the products from reported to me. except i didnt use the organics he pushed or any of the companies he supports becvause i found them to be overpriced for what they have. i guess you could just use your common sense and not need the materials. Jeffrey of Pontiac, MI October 3, 2009 This is a positive note for the book, as well as some cautions. I found the information in the book to be worthwhile. It contained information that was probably available for free elsewhere-but it was very well laid out and concise in his book. I actually used the information the first day I got the book. I had been receiving calls about a hospital debt that was alledgedly from 1996. If not for the book, I would have thought there was nothing I could do and had to pay it-all 550 worth. I did as the book stated-told the 'caller' that I had no knowledge of the debt (which I didn't!) and, even if the debt WAS valid it was beond the time allowed for them to collect. They tried one more time. A 'supervisor' called me and wanted to "explain the nature of the calls". I told this person the same thing. The calls and letters from this outfit have stopped. I have followed the advice in the book with all my current creditors as well, arranging settlement amounts-which I was also unaware of. I had no idea I could request this-but learned I could do so through the book. I am now free of the debts that had held me for so long. Now the bad part-the 'infomercial' depends on a person watching late at night and not really paying attention to details of shipping charges, but I did. I was overcharged for shipping and overcharged for the book anyway. I called to try to rectify this and was promptly cut off and hung up on. Also-during the initial call-I had a mantra of 'no, thank you, just the book' which I repeated for about 20 minutes. Eventually I got smart and just said "all I want is the book and I decline all other offers. Have a good night" and hung up. So for future reference, just buy the books elsewhere and make use of the content. All else is just gimmick. Linda of Sacramento, CA October 2, 2009 I ordered Mr. Trudeau's book, Debt Cures, after watching an infomercial. While ordering, the salesperson tried to sell me everything else under the sun including a monthly newsletter, which, unfortunately I succumbed to just to shut them up. I was guaranteed, however, that I could cancel within 30 days with no resulting charges. I did cancel within the allotted time limit & the charge was still taken out of my checking account, which I found out much to my chagrin, too late; my account was already 68.00 overdrawn. I had very little money to begin with, thus the reason I ordered his book, but that started everything spiraling downward. They did, begrudgingly, return the 10.77 back to my account; too little, too late. I tried several times to contact their customer service & was either treated very rudely or given phony fax numbers & other numbers that were either bogus or had me on hold until I finally hung up because it was a waste of my time to just stay on the phone. I faxed them documentation twice before I figured out that the number was no good. I finally got through to a rep & they told me the newsletter was canceled. In the meantime, I tried to recover the monies for all the bank charges, as my account had by this time been closed for being 387.75 overdrawn. I was very rudely told they don't refund overdraft fees for any reason. I also did not receive the book which was 29.95+11.95 S&H nor did I receive the 50.00 Walmart gift card that was promised. I happened across the complaint website approx. 4 months ago & was totally shocked at the number of complaints against this man & his company. Then I saw the webpage that showed all the times he had been sued. To say that I was appalled is an understatement. I had finally had it & e-mailed the company that if I did not get back all that I was entitled to I would be filing a Class Action lawsuit. All I want is what they took from me & caused me to have to pay because they were dishonest. Ardyth of Rock Creek, OH September 28, 2009 I can't believe that I was suckered in also - I ordered the book which was only 29.95 but the postage was 23.90 - isn't this a fraud to the US Post Office. It never costs that much with Barnes & Noble. I will keep the receipt just in case there is a class action suit. Carol of Los Angeles, CA September 27, 2009 If you want to save yourself a bunch of hassle AND your hard-earned dollars, simply go to a Library and BORROW Kevin Trudeau's books from there! I've read a few of his books and never spent one penny on this guy! Alicia of Selkirk, NY September 26, 2009 I bought Kevin Trudeau's Natural Cures book a few years back. Not only did I have a pleasant experience with the representative at the call center but his book changed my life. I had been taking prescription medication for years and it was doing NOTHING but harming my body and making me feel sick and depressed. After reading Natural Cures I began taking vitamins and stopped taking prescription medication. I felt better then I ever felt before. I had more energy and felt great both physically and mentally. I have complete faith in him and I think it's disgusting that he's made out to be a criminal but the FDA and the drug companies are killing people daily by lying about the real side effects and long term damage that these medications cause. Alicia of Lawton, OK September 21, 2009 I ordered Kevin's Free Money book and it was very disappointing!! So much so, that I am going to make sure everyone knows how much a SCAM it is and to save your money!! Not only was everything in it a JOKE, because it did not work at all, but when you call to get your money back the customer service people are extremely rude! They even hang up on you, even when you are polite and asking questions. They connect you to a manager that is no better than them and they tell you there is no one else to complain to. Their stories change the more you call back, leading me to believe this company is extremely shady!! I am just so disappointed with myself that I fell for his scam!! I should have known better, when I could tell upon ordering it that the teller seemed to by lying about the shipping cost (when I asked her about it). By the time I received the books it was too late and the shipping cost was non-refundable and outrageous!! Please, take it from me and do NOT order any of his books. I have made it my mission to TELL EVERYONE I can about this shady company. I hope whoever reads this does so too. It is our responsibility as hard-working consumers to watch out for each other. gladys of chesapeake, VA September 16, 2009 ordered. only told me things i already knew, every site i went to was a fluke. he should not be able to advertise this book anywhere.
