Bally's Customers Hope To Exercise Their Rights

Peter of Hurst TX writes (1/18/02):
I have been a Bally member for almost three years, and have enjoyed it immensely. My problem comes in the management of the facility and staff. I have been in customer service as a restaurant general manager for over 10 years.

The Mayfair Village location opens at 6 am, later than most other clubs in the area-including other Bally. For the past few months, the staff has opened for business at or later than the posted times. Were I to do this, my clientele would find a different establishment to suit their needs. I am disappointed with the lack of concern by management. If the manager were to place themself in our shoes, waiting at the door, as opposed to arriving at 9 am after having slept in comfort, they would see the necessity in having their staff on-time and prepared.

I miss workout opportunities, because I must be at work -- ON TIME

Sal of Dix Hills NY writes (10/20/01):
Bally is scheduled to open at 6am everyday. Today, as well as many days in the past they open late. This morning the opening person showed up at 06:18am, but she didn't have a key. She told the group of people that were waiting that the gym would not open up for another 30 minutes. I drove 11 miles to wait in a parking lot, only to turn around and go back home wich was another 11 miles. This has also happened at the Bally in Copaigue New York, which is also located on Sunrise Hwy.

This has caused me to drive 22 miles for no reason at all, not to mention the waste of time.
