Crunchless Abs

melinda of mt sterling, KY July 20, 2009

When I ordered the DVD in January, I was enrolled in 'Value Plus" without my authorization and my debit card has been charged 19.99 since February. When I called Value Plus I was informed that the original company I made a purchase through had siigned me up 'online' and I "must have authorized it" and my 'membership could be cancelled but no refund could be authorized without completing and submitting a 'refund request form' available VIA US Mail. No such form has been mailed to me even though I have repeatedly requested it.

Order the orginal video. Was unaware that I would be sent new videos every two months. I called they said it was on my invoice. I didn't see it, so I cancelled my "subscription" and returned the videos. I was still charged for them. They said I never returned them. The lady was very snotty. She said she "trusted me" & credited my card. Now I have received another charge (and received not videos). I emailed them. If I don't receive a credit or reply I will have credit card deny charges. What a scam!!!! Why is this type of action not illegal. I own my own company & cannot just charge me customers cards whenever I feel like it!!! Why can they?!

Unauthorized charges to my account show up weeks after I purchased an online exercise DVD. Then a box with more DVDs-and no invoice enclosed. I emailed the crunchlessabs.com and they informed me that I had joined their continuity program as stated on the initial invoice (since when is receiving an invoice a legal transaction?) and there would be an additional 19, 99 coming due in 30 days plus the 26.98 they had just charged me.

They said I joined their continuity program as stated on their invoice (from the initial order.) There was NOTHING mentioned about this when I entered into the transaction, as I did read everything carefully. It was mentioned on the invoice from the initial purchase, but the total at the bottom said Amount Due=0.00 so it appeared I didn't owe anything else. What a scam.

I called them, and now to return it within 30 days I will be required to pay the shipping cost of them mailing the 2nd shipment to me, and pay to return it to them. I wrote that I want proof in writing on a document that shows I agreed to enter a continuity program so far I've seen nothing produced from them.

Ordered one workout DVD for 12.98 (advertised on TV as 9.99 and once you get on the web site you find out that's for VHS) plus S&H. Charges cleared my bank acct on 01/07/09 and I received the DVD within a few days. Then I notice on 02/13/09 there's a charge pending for 26.98 from crunchless abs for what I didn't know. So I called their number and let it ring about 40 times before someone picked it up and then hung up on me without saying anything.

I immediately called back and after about 10 rings someone finally answered. This person's English was so poor and he spoke so softly I could barely understand what he was saying. I had to ask him several times to speak slower and louder so I could try to understand him. I inquired as to what the charge to my acct was for since I hadn't ordered anything else and that's when I find out about the auto debit.

I informed this customer service representative that I didn't want any further product from crunchless abs and I wanted the money returned to my acct (hadn't received product at this point). He told me my enrollment would be discontinued, but the merchandise had already been sent. I could return the merchandise for a refund minus the S&H. Product returned... no refund. Then on 03/16/09 I notice another debit pending in my acct from crunchless abs for 19.99. I call their number again and this time someone answers the first time. He tells me my enrollment was discontinued on 02/13/09 when I called the last time. However, he could not explain to me why, if enrollment was discontinued, there were further charges to my acct this month. He told me the charges to my acct would be reversed and I was again told I can return merchandise for refund minus S&H. Charges cleared my bank on 03/17/09, today is 03/20/09 and the charges to my acct have not been reversed and I haven't received the merchandise to return. I've also sent an e-mail to crunchless abs customer service because I wanted to make sure they got that I don't want them stealing anymore money out of my acct and sending me merchandise I didn't order. I didn't really understand their response.

Again it states that my enrollment was cancelled on 02/13/09, but there will be another charge of 19.99 to my acct in 30 days, but I can return that too?!?

They've taken a total of 46.97 from my acct. It's not much, but in this economy every little bit counts. Beyond that, it's that they take it without my consent (steal!), lie about cancelling my enrollment and just plain give me the run around. I've had to change my bank card number. I just filed a dispute of charges with my bank. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I ordered one DVD, which came in January just fine. Then they have sent me two more in February which I did not order and have charged my card 30 each time. I see on some websites that this is a scam and is happening to a lot of people. Cruchless Abs does not answer their phone and their website is not working.

I ordered only 1 DVD and then was charged for 3 more and put on an auto shipment program without my consern.

My bank account was charge 86.66 additional

Cathy of Brooklyn, NY February 20, 2009

I ordered one DVD - paid a total of 20 including shipping and handling. I checked my bank account yesterday and Crunchless Abs charged 26 against my account yesterday for nothing. I have been calling all day yesterday and today, and I am convinced that not one live, breathing person works there. I am having my bank treat it as fraud and fight the charges, since no one answers the 24 hour customer service line.

I ordered an exercise DVD's for 19.99 and another where I only had to pay postage and handling for a total 26.98 on 8/3/08. I did not order anything else or authorize anything else. My account seemed low one day and I started looking over it and I noticed that they had taken more out of my account on 8/15 and 9/3. I emailed them asking what the extra charges were and they never answered.

Next thing I knew they took out another on 9/29 so I again emailed them telling them to stop pulling money out of my account or atleast tell me what it was for. Still no answer. I went to their web site and emailed them from there under their contact us on questions about purchases and the message said someone would write back within 48 hours, that was back on 9/28/08 and they still have not answered me. I filed a dispute with my paypal account to see what they can do and am waiting for an answer.

They took out 66.96 from my account stopping me from being able to pay certain bills and I still fear that they will continue to take it out! I know this does not sound like much but it is to me.
