Since I cancelled my membership on April 14 exactly one month into the new billing cycle, I am requesting a pro-rated refund of the annual fee. I have used only one month of the year I was charged for. Furthermore, since I do not wish to extend my membership further, I am requesting the return of my security deposit. LA Fitness has informed me that they will not refund these amounts and instead extended my access until May 18. This is unacceptable as I have no intention of using the facilities and specifically requested a refund of the unused fees and my deposit.

Desired Settlement: I am seeking a refund for the remaining 11/2026 -2027/ months of the prepaid annual fee and the full return of my security deposit. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter. 1 months deposit and 11 months annual fee. LA Fitness created a contract for themselves that I am forced to follow. Unfortunately, because I had a car accident two years ago and my health problems have resurfaced, I cannot use the money I paid. So, they simply make you pay a 12-month annual fee upfront, and if a member has any kind of problem, they just keep the money. They kept the one-month deposit and the 11-month annual fee. Meanwhile, they offered that if I find someone else, they would let that person use my 2 months of unused membership. What happens in this country is a shame.

I have had an LA Fitness account since 11/10/20 and included within my monthly membership are personal training sessions. Over the course of my membership I have accumulated over 30 personal training sessions, none of which I have used on my own accord. No specific month but always went after work around 8pm, I went to the Duluth LA Fitness and planned to use some of the personal training sessions I have accumulated since opening my account. To my surprise, I learned through the LA Fitness app that my account login information was changed, and as of since 2023 someone else has been fraudulently using my account information to get access to the ____ LA Fitness via their phone barcode, in addition to also fraudulently using my account information to schedule personal training sessions under my account, though the sessions were scheduled under their name and not mine.

To add context, I have not changed my password or have been to any LA Fitness since 2022. This person changed my password information in 2023 without my knowledge, and I received no notification from LA Fitness about any aspect of my account information being changed. I additionally did not receive any conformation email or texts about the fraudulent scheduling of any of these personal training sessions to my personal email or personal number associated with my account. When I addressed this issue with the personal trainer Manager at 600 Gwinnett Dr. Lawrenceville Ga, since personal training was done that that location LA Fitness, they confirmed that they had been training this unknown person since 12/25/25, and also confirmed that though this unknown person’s physical appearance did not match the description listed on my account, they carried out the personal training sessions regardless.

This unknown person has fraudulently used my account eight times to schedule personal training sessions I did not authorize. 600 Gwinnett Dr. Lawrenceville GA. LA Fitness needs to be held accountable for fraud, tempering a client's account, and lack of accountability and concern to protecting their client’s membership and personal influence.

I've been a member for many years especially to swim. The pool at Wade Green has been closed for about a month because the heater is down. It took awhile to get the part (understandable) but then it sat in the lobby for about 2 weeks till install was attempted. It was discovered a specific plumber needs to handle this which I should have known. So now it's still not scheduled for install. I could go to another gym but it's so crowded it's difficult to do laps. I could join Crunch for a lower monthly fee to go to a facility with no pool. I will evaluate this shortly. This company is quite the disappointment.

1045 Woodstock Rd (770) 375-4351. I am beyond frustrated with the level of incompetence and disregard we have experienced at this LA Fitness location. My wife and I have been loyal members of LA Fitness for over 15 years in Louisville, KY. After recently moving to Atlanta, we attempted to access this club using our SilverSneakers membership, which clearly provides access to all LA Fitness locations—including this one. Yet, for reasons no one seems capable of explaining, we have been denied access due to what staff repeatedly describe as a “computer glitch.”

What’s truly unacceptable is how this situation has been handled. Instead of taking responsibility, the club manager actually suggested that WE should call corporate tech support ourselves to resolve the issue. That is astonishing. Isn’t that part of his job? Only after pushing back did he reluctantly agree to “do us a favor” and contact them himself. Eight days later, we are still without access. Every single morning, we have made the effort to go to the club, only to hear the same rehearsed response: “They still haven’t called me back.” No updates. No escalation. No accountability. Are we really expected to believe that a manager cannot contact a supervisor or escalate a basic membership issue over the course of more than a week?

At 73 and 68 years old, respectively, it is not easy for us to make these repeated trips, only to be dismissed day after day. This is not just poor customer service—it is a textbook example of negligence and severe mismanagement. The complete lack of urgency and care is deeply disappointing. We have earned our access to these facilities over many years, and being treated as an afterthought—especially as seniors—is unacceptable. This experience has left us feeling ignored, disrespected, and completely let down by a company we trusted for over a decade. Do better.

I signed a contract for personal training sessions at LA FITNESS in Stone Mountain Ga. Approximately 2 weeks in December 2025 prior to my contract ending, I personally informed the manager of the Stone Mountain GA gym that my contract was ending and to not charge me anything past that end term. I was told OK. I was charged after my term ended and I asked for a refund from the manager. I was told he would request it thru his district manager.

The next month I was charged again. I went in to see the manager and was told my first refund was denied. It was at this time I contacted corporate several times in an attempt to explain my issues. When the manager of the gym was put on a conference call with me, he denied remembering our conversation about terminating my contract. I wanted my 2 months worth of refunds, they were only willing to give me 1 month with extended services. They told me that was all they could do. They took 2 months of charges, they should refund 2 months

The newer LA Fitness gyms are nice for working out, and the swimming pools are great for those of us who love to swim. I wish they could improve their music selection. About 90% of the members working out end up using headphones because the music played is pop trash. Basically, they play music for 13-year-olds. But most members are older than 21. I hate to have to use my headphones when I am at the gym, but listening to the teen pop Music makes more tired than the machines and weights. Fancy bars, trendy places, and restaurants, or breweries always play music that brings a great atmosphere to venues like Dream Pop, smooth rock, or other alternative genres of music. Is LA Fitness getting paid to play such uneducated and terrible music?

So this is what you get joining a premium gym. I know they are in financial trouble being sued by the FTC, still no excuse for the condition of the club. Hot tub hasn’t worked in almost 6 months. Nobody will give you an answer one time when I ask when it’s gonna be up and running the young man behind the counter, said when pigs fly . I see other clubs hot tubs have been down for six or more months. showers, soap dispensers, most are broken. What’s not broken or empty? Inside of lockers are filthy sewer flies in the showers along with mold equipment that’s been broken for going on six months. Too many trip hazards in the parking lot, dozens of huge potholes. They have been closing a number of gyms, not only in Michigan, but Ohio and many other states. so I was looking for a new gym to go to. This probably wouldn’t be the one.

I have been a client since the end of 2023. I had signed up both for a $50/month membership and $250/month personal training contract for 12 months. After those 12 months, I changed the subscription to paying about $60/month. Unfortunately, LA Fitness fired the two trainers with whom I felt comfortable, Crystal and Amanda. I tried working with two others and while they seemed nice, they did not really listen or pay attention to my goals. I explained I have a hiatal hernia and that I cannot have my chest below my lower body. Both of them had me use machines where my chest was lower. I decided to cancel the personal training but I still liked the gym, so I kept my regular membership.

I was told I had 30 days from cancellation to use my personal training sessions by Gavin. I said ok. Joe was an excellent trainer; he listened, took notes, and actually tailored the workouts to my goals. I decided to ask about re-signing up. I let Gavin know that I could not re-sign up with a once-a-month payment for another session (because I had 19, now 15, left), I would just use the remaining sessions. He kindly said maybe a manager can consider other options. I said it was worth hearing out. I was shocked.

The manager, Kristy, said that she could only do another contract for 9-months at $250. I said I understood since I had canceled and that I would just use my remaining sessions. She told me that my "sessions expired yesterday." I said, no, I was told I had 30 days from cancellation. She said, "No, it's 30 days from last payment." What? That is not what I was told and also, why? I've already paid for the sessions. This isn't the membership fee. I said no, I was told 30 days. She asked Gavin to look it up in the system. Gavin honestly replied, "It says until the 28th", obviously of March. Kristy even angrily replied, "Of this month?! No, check when the last payment was."

It was February 5 (also not even a full 30 days ago yet by the way). She said that if they aren't expired now, they will be in two or three days, but that she would extend my time for those sessions if I paid for the $250 a month for 9 months. I said, "No, I'm not going to do that." She said, "Ok, bye." I was respectful the whole time. She lied to my face. She was angry when Gavin told the truth about what was in the system. Then, she rudely hung up on everyone. Although I had planned to keep my regular membership, I said cancel all of it. I am especially floored with how I was respectful, polite, said I understood that I cancelled the personal training, and that I was okay with their decision, and I would just use my remaining sessions. Then, for the manager to tell me I have no remaining sessions, that Gavin was mistaken, and that she would not honor what he told me, I was floored.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to dedicate their time to LA Fitness. I currently have a disability and am unable to move freely. I use a scooter to get around the city. Some time ago, I started going to LA Fitness on Hollywood Boulevard. When I arrived and asked the manager, Christopher, for help, he refused. My request was that I leave my scooter inside, so as not to create any problems for club members or employees. Unfortunately, two days after I started leaving my scooter outside, it was stolen. The lock intended for securing my scooter was damaged. Unfortunately, the manager, Christopher, learned of this and began allowing customers of the Hollywood Boulevard Fitness to leave their scooters inside, which resulted in my injury.

I have been unable to work for more than six months due to rehabilitation, but Christopher didn't understand this. He demonstrated his strength and importance, but I was left without a scooter. Also, anyone who wants to visit LA Fitness at the above address should know that the sauna is infested with cockroaches, which indicates unsanitary conditions at this gym. Thank you all for your attention.

I had a very disappointing experience at LA Fitness on Westheimer Road. A group of about 25 of us have active memberships specifically to use the volleyball court. Recently, Manager Orlando refused to open the volleyball court for us without providing any clear or reasonable explanation. Instead of addressing our concerns or offering a solution, we were told that the court would be closed for a month and that if we didn’t like it, we could cancel our memberships.

This response was unprofessional and dismissive, especially considering we are paying members who joined primarily for access to that facility. Closing the court for an extended period without proper communication or accommodation is unacceptable, and telling loyal members to cancel instead of resolving the issue shows a lack of customer care. Very disappointed with the management and how this situation was handled.

My mother has been a loyal member for three years, yet this employee shows a complete lack of respect, not only for elders but also for members who choose to support this business. I went up to speak to a enrollment person. I found a man sitting behind a desk. He said he was a maintenance man, the men's looker room had a couple of locker doors broken. The floor by the the weights needed repair, the floor was dirty. I found a young lady that was on the phone. After she was done I told I wanted to cancel, it didn't seem that she care much. I'm not a member anymore, so I checked out Fitness connection in Grand Prairie. I liked it, maybe you should too. See what a nice gym looks like.

LA Fitness 600 Gwinnett Lawrenceville - I am very disappointed with the manager. I am a loyal member since the beginning of this gym. I recommended friends before. I decided to add my son and my boyfriend few months ago unfortunately my boyfriend did not like LA Fitness so few weeks after I asked to cancel it. He told me to come back after a month since it's already been processed and charged for a month. Came back after a month talked to him and he said it's not corporate office hours, come back when it's office hours, I came back and asked me my boyfriend's phone number, and went to check into his computer and he told me it's done. And will be charged less.

I trusted him, for few months I thought I was only being charged less but when I checked this morning, I was charged the same amount. I called the gym and talked to another employee about the situation and told me my boyfriend needs to cancel it and I asked why I am the one who added them into changing my single account to family membership, she said I can come to the gym and talk to the manager so I went and talked to him first and later with the other employee that I spoke on the phone and reminded him everything and he said yes I sent a request to corporate few months ago I don't know why it did not get cancel.

I asked him "Can you show me when did you send a request for cancellation" and he said "Ohh I can't see anymore records from last year because it refreshes every years." IT'S BS . He lied many times. He just cancelled it today without waiting for the corporate. I called the corporate and the representative did not see any cancellation request prior today and cant give me a refund. I asked if how you address this problem, he said he will talk to him in private that nobody can hear. HOW WOULD I KNOW THEY WILL ACT ON THIS. I Love this gym because of the people I have met and found friendship. But after this event, I am not recommending this gym until something change with their management and billing. VERY VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
