Renee of Valinda, CA, writes:
In January I ordered the Torso Tiger. It's a fitness tool that can help tone up muscles in the stomache. The commercial on TV said that all we had to do was order through the internet or call the 800 number. I called.
They were quick to place my order and get my credit card number. On February 25th I called to find out the status of my order. They said there was a back order and that it would be a couple of weeks. I was on hold for 15 minutes then I spoke to Gary.
It never came and I called back on March 22 and spoke to Annie after being on hold for 40 minutes. She said that they were still on back order and that it would be here soon. When I first placed the order in January, they offered to sell me some Life Boost Vitamins, $19.99. Not including shipping and handeling and tax which made it 29.99. They said that if I didn't want to order them again I could call and cancel my order and I wouldn't be charged. They were just trial.
I called and cancelled on Feb. 25, They still billed my Mastercard. Today is April 17, and I still haven't received my Torso Tiger or been notified of the status of the delivery date. I feel that the company just wanted to send me the vitamins all along and that there is no Torso Tiger at all.
I would never pay $30.00 for vitamins. I take vitamins daily and I buy them from Rite Aide and they cost $5.99. I am a recovering addict that is getting my life back together and getting my body back in shape is essential for my total physical, mental and spiritual well being. Please help me.
Since I was counting on the Torso Tiger as a form of fitness, I turned down a free membership for a fitness club that was offered to me as a gift from my mother. I've gained 10 pounds and I feel very unhappy about myself. I'm still clean and sober, but I need to feel like I'm not being taken advantage of.
We congratulate Renee of freeing herself of her addiction to drugs and alcohol. We hope she'll move on to one of the more beneficial addictions -- exercise. The best news is, it costs nothing to get started. Renee doesn't need a Torso Tiger. All she needs is a floor. She can lie on her back, bend her knees and pull her legs up and start doing crunches -- the best ab workout there is. Once the knees are pulled back towards the face, just pull your face up towards your knees as many times as you can. This is not a big movement. Just a few inches will suffice at first.
The next step is to strap any kind of athletic shoe, open the door and hit the bricks. Walk a block, jog a block. Keep it up for 15 minutes, then do it a little longer the next. Pretty soon Renee will be hooked on her daily workout, which will be completely free, aside from a new pair of shoes now and then.
Oh, by the way, toning up the abs isn't enough by itself. The jogging will burn up those extra calories and remove the inch or two of fat that's covering up those washboard abs.
