Joe of Rancho Cucamonga, CA August 5, 2009 We purchased a Mitsubishi television in March of 2008. It has broken three times since them. Paul's TV has fixed it twice in the past. This last time, the television once again broke in June. Paul's TV has sent out a technician, then they picked up the television. It is now August and we still do not have a television. Numerous phone calls to Paul's and Mitsubishi have been useless. They both refer me to the other. Dennis of Quincy, MI August 4, 2009 I bought a 65" Mitsubishi model WS65613 tv from ABC warehouse. I didn't have it one month past the warranty period and the problems started. 1st the timer light flashed continuously and the TV would not turn on. Found the problem was 4 capacitors on the DM board. Changed them out and every two to three months they go out again. 2nd and most annoying problem; the picture on the tv only stays on for about 20 minutes, then the screen goes black. I have contacted Mitsubishi and numerous techs. and all they want to do is keep changing boards at 900 a piece. There have been thousands of post about the blinking light issue but I haven't seen anything to guide me to the cause for the picture going black. I don't understand why Mitsubishi don't admit their design flaws and replace or repair these bad TV's. I spent over 3500 when new and have spent over 1100 since then trying to get it working. George of Monclova, OH July 31, 2009 In Jan 2007 we bought a 65 inch Model WD 65731 for 3000. We made a oak stand made for the TV specifically and had our first problem within 18 months. The tv bulb goes out at the cost of 170. We replace it with an official replacement and 1 year 2 weeks later again the bulb goes out. This one is now out of warrenty and a new one was ordered on 7/6/09. The replacement came and went out 5 days later. When calling the company we were informed of a recall on the tv for a failure to sense the temperature and the fan not coming on. Now we await the reworks part from the local tv repair place and hope this bulb doesn't go. At the new cost of 140 each it is getting expensive to watch tv. Colin of levittown, PA July 31, 2009 Mitsubishi WD-62525 Television Purchased though Best buy with extended warrenty in 2005. The timer light flashes and the television has completely stopped working. Many other people on the internet report the same problem and mention a class action law suit Kelly of San Antonio, TX July 23, 2009 Bought LT-52144 52" LCD TV last May. Three times now, all at random, the TV has just shut off and the power light starts blinking, as if there had been a power surge. We are in a drought. No storms were occurring here in Texas during each episode. Of course, it is now "just out of warranty." I called the store where I purchased it and the employee acted as if he'd never heard of this problem and proceeds to tell me how much it will cost to "diagnose" the problem. Then I hop online and see that I am not alone and this is not a NEW problem by any means! I feel deceived by Mitsubishi AND Bjorn's. Margarite of Glendale, CA July 14, 2009 In March, 2009, I purchased a Mitsubishi TV with the agreement that it came with a grocery rebate in the amount of 1000. Shortly after my purchase, the company who administers the rebate went bankrupt. However the rebate was offered by Mitsubishi, and they have offered me nothing. Steve of Mouthcard, KY July 10, 2009 Purchased a Mitsubishi WP-73733 in 2008. 1 yr. later same problems with lamp and switching off as everyone else. So if I keep the TV and lamps are all that go bad I'll have spent close to 7 grand. As many people that are having this same problem, where is the class action suit?? Gary of Northridge, CA July 6, 2009 Mitsubishi DLP WD-73831 73in Diamond Series TV…. I purchased my TV in May 2007 for a little over 5000.00, plus the cost of a TV stand for 380.00. The HD picture was beautiful. I was very happy at first, and then all the problems started. First I had a problem with the TV powering on and off, so the place where I purchased the TV Pacific Sales sent out a brand new TV, after about 9 months later the TV went completely black screen, and I learn the internal light bulb went out, cost around 250.00 for a LIGHT BULB. Now the set has ghost/silver images over the entire TV viewing picture which looks terrible, now I'm told I need a new internal motor/engine. The TV is less than 2 years old and is not watched very much except in the evenings and on weekends; and now I need a new over priced engine. After a Mitsubishi recommend repair shop replace the engine, the status light now shuts the TV off every 5-7 minutes because it thinks the TV is over heating. I was told by the repair shop that the new engine that was on back order and took a month to come in and of course it's defective and will need replacing. Oh no, not again, this TV is only 2 years old! This Mitsubishi DLP WD-73831 73in Diamond Series TV is not ready for prime time, and is being sold every day. I've been looking again at TVs, and notice that this TV is now being offered at half the price I paid for it, and I WONDER WHY? It's a defected product that cannot sustain regular usage. PLEASE NOTE: All the Mitsubishi parts are just temporary and will need to be replace on a regular basis at extra-ordinary prices and service fees. If you want to live like that and enjoy lots of drama, then buy a Mitsubishi. Michael of Clearwater, FL June 21, 2009 Purchased CRT Projection WS73513 on 10/06/04 and as of 6/12/09 has been in and out of Jersey Jim repair shop 3-times. Each time green lite flashes & tv won't come on. Contacted Mitsubishi but they refuse to do anything because Jersey Jim told manufacturer that lighting is hitting my tv. The first 2-times it went in the repair shop (J.J.)it failed just 90-days apart. A year later it failed again. I guess lighting can hit the same thing and same place 3-times, even with tv off, unplugged, no damage to anything else but target the same tv out of the other 3 I own. First 2-times tech. says it was the capacitor, 2nd time he says it was the coil and possible lighting. Now i'm beginning to think it's the repairman along with the product. I will NEVER EVER but another Mitsubishi product or purchase anything from Jersey Jim. Lost money counting the 4500 + 3 repairs totals est. @ 6000 Gary of Northridge, CA June 19, 2009 Mitsubishi DLP WD-73831 73in Diamond Series TV. I purchased my TV in May 2007 for a little over 5000.00, plus the cost of a TV stand for 380.00. The HD picture was beautiful. I was very happy at first, and then all the problems started. The TV is less than 2 years old and is not watched very much except in the evenings and on weekends; and now I need a new over priced engine. Mitsubishi recommend a repair shop to replace the engine, which I had to wait almost a month to receive because it was on back order. When the engine finally arrived and installed in my TV, the TV start turning itself off automatically every 5-7 minutes because the TV thinks it’s over heating. I was told by the repair shop that the new engine was defective and will need replacing Oh no, not again, this TV is only 2 years old. They sent out another engine, which I paid for a 2 day air delivery. When the second engine arrived and install by the repair shop, it was defective too, and started shutting off the TV every 10 minutes. The repair shop found out that these engines being sent to me was refurbish/rebuilt, and not new. It's now June 19th and I'm still going back and forth with Mitsubishi and GE about my TV problems and the lack of a TV for amount 2 months with no resolution yet. This Mitsubishi DLP WD-73831 73in Diamond Series TV is not ready for prime time, and is being sold every day. I've been looking again at TVs, and notice that this TV is now being offered at half the price I paid for it, and I KNOW WHY? It’s a defected product that cannot sustain regular usage.
