sharon of Interlochen, MI November 1, 2009 Bought in 2003 Model no. HD61LPW42- 60" diagnol screen RCA DLP/HDTV. This TV is so bad, it broke down just over a year and luckilywe bought the extended warranty. other wise it would of been over 1000.00 to fix. Then the bulb went out(500 at the time), now the screen is turning black at right side and it makes this horrible screeching noise which found out is color wheel is attached to motor so they want 800 the set cost 2500 to begin with is only 5 years old!!!! Fortunately, I got a 5-year maintenance agreement so Circuit City is going to either keep spending money to fix it for the next three years or replace it. Considering that I've also had similar problems with an RCA theater system and a RCA VCR, I've given up on ever buying another RCA (Thomson) product. Sheila of Eatonton, GA October 21, 2009 My complaint is like many others on the RCA TV Brand. Have a problem with the screen going red. Can never get resolution when calling nor does the website allow you to submit. I have completed the form many times online and stating my issue but when you get to the submit button it does not work. When you call , the problem is never addressed.Tv not that old.i have a magnoxox I have had for 20+ years and never had to repair and still working fine. MARLON of MORENO VALLEY, CA October 19, 2009 My RCA projection TV failed to work after 3 mths the tech came out and try to repair it. Now its don't work. I am requesting a refund of 989.00. Also RCA always cut me off when I'm explining my status on my TV. Need a refund. The parts are faulty. Need a urgent refund for this really [bad] appliance! Shirley of Dawsonville , GA October 15, 2009 I brought a RCA TV L32HD32D on 12/20/08 with a 2yr extend warrnety because of the switch over in February. We did not hook it up until the end of Jan. 2009 ( because of the holiday ). It show great and sounded great. for about 3 months, then it would go to a black screen you would have sound no picture, you could cut off and leave off for while then it would play good for a while then cut off again. Call the # in book gave me a repair service took it to the service (Kirk's Electrioncs in Alparetta GA 6/24/09. He called in about 3 days and said that, they could not fix it that the part was not avaible and they would send me a replacement ( new ). So I waited for 2wks no contact me, it was July 4th weekend so I waited until after 4th just in case they was on vacation 7/10/09, I just went back to Kirk's and ask about the tv and he said that the part was not avaiable and I could just take it with me and call a 800 # and they would give me a case #, I call got a case # then had to call another # spoke with Nicole, she said to fax them a copy of the receipt and Kirk's repair ticket 7/10/09 and they would get back with me. No one called, I called them back 7/17/09 Nicole again said that they was reviewing the case, someone would call me, no call again. 7/20/09 called back handling the case was out sick should be back tomorrow. Called them back Nicole said that the one that was handling the case was out sick be back tommorrow. Called back 7/22/09 Natalie still reviewing case. 7/29/09 spoke with Jesica , Denise said that they would be sending refurbish one in 7 to 10 days. 8/7/09 still nothing. 8/21/09 called back said that I would have to send my tv in and then they would send me they were sending a return label out to me to this day I have not got it. that is twice they said that, they said that they since one in July did not get it. I still have not a call I have called everytime that I talked to someone. I ask to speak to a manager and said that I was as high as it goes. Gave me po box to write to. All I want is a TV worth as much as I gave for it 477.88 and that was when it was on sale at Walmart in Dawsonville Ga. HENRY of HAMILTON, IL October 15, 2009 Purchased RCA 52" projection TV at walmart july 2005. After a few years, now the power button flashes 3 times but tv doesnt turn on. Went on-line to see if i could find out what the problem was because i live in a rural area and find any place to fix it. I could believe how may people have had the same problem. Mike of Quincy, CA October 13, 2009 We bought the RCA model L32HD32D tv in January 2009. By March/Apr the screen shut down and would go black, there was sound, no picture. By the time we located our receipt, the 90 days return at Walmart was over. We then called RCA. After quite a long wait, we were told to fax receipt, model and serial number and to call back to get service number. We did all that and called back and had to re-send receipt. This time I told the girl I wanted the number since I wasn't interested in waiting another 1/2 hour on the phone. She gave me a service # and said a service center in our area would be contacting us by the end of the week. Of course, no phone call. So back on the phone again, this time we were told we had to give credit card so they could bill us a 100 for the service call. Gave them the card, with great hesitation since we already paid for the TV and it's supposedly has a year warranty, waited 10 days to call because we hadn't heard from them and today they say they will send a pick up form in the mail. We are supposed to send the TV, track it, and then call them when they receive it??? Don't know what to do... Will never buy RCA again!!! Anybody out there know where to go from here? We do have names and dates of who we talked to at RCA. Lou of Pikeville, KY October 13, 2009 I bought a 27inch RCA model#27v513t. it has been alright until this year. we bought it a few years ago and 2 days ago my tv would shut it self off. it stayed off until this next day and came back on then it would shut off again. when I turned it back on all I can see is a blue line in the Middle of it. its been like this for 2 days. dont know why I called 1-877- for 2 days now all I get is the number you dialed can not be reached. I called some other numbers. they were rude to me and told me thats the only number I can reach them by and then they would hang up on me. I know Televisions have warrenty's but they are avoiding me and hangin up on me Elizabeth of Ray, ND October 5, 2009 Bought a RCA 32" flat screen TV at Walmart in December of 2008. By September of 2009 it quit working. Called RCA support, faxed receipt, given case number, called several times for repair and was finally told that I would have to pay 99.95 for labor to repair. After reading the 42 similar complaints on this website, I think a class action suit needs to be drawn up. Mary of Ft Pierce, FL September 28, 2009 My RCA TV model #L26WD26DA serial # H383EL1UC broke after one year of use (the screen turned black with white lines - no picture). RCA advised that while it was out of warrenty they would repair it for a fee of 158.95, and I would have to find a way to pack and ship it to them. According to their directions I sent my cashier's check to TTE C/O DEX in Groveport, Oh and shipped the TV to TTE Technology Inc in Marietta, Ga. After 1 month I contacted RCA only to be told to call their business office 8772978391. After being on hold for 3 times of 45 minutes each I finally spoke to someone who said they no longer contracted work with the companies I had been told to mail my check and TV to. They would assign my case to someone to investigate. Next I received a letter from RCA addressed to another person with directions on how they should send back their TV. The next business day I received the other person's replacement TV. Now I can not get through to anyone who will take the report that I have received someone else's TV. I have called the main office, the support group #, and e-mailed their support group. I have requested to talk to a supervisor - and was told one would call me later. I have thus far called the business office 3 times today and each time have been on hold for at least 30 minutes only to be disconnected. So in conclusion, RCA has taken my money to repair my TV. Lost my TV. Sent me someone else's TV, and refused to talk to me. Paul of Chattaroy, WA September 24, 2009 I purchased an RCA 32" LCD flat screen in october 2008 from Wal Mart. Model L32HD32D. By march 2009 it was shutting its screen down. When the power was turned off and then back on, the screen would come back on. After a short time longer it shut down compleatly and would not come back to life at all. I finally brought the TV to the recomended service center on July 3 2009 and for 2 1/2 months. all I received was the excuse that the parts were on order and that RCA was not responding to the service centers requests for information. Finally I contacted RCA and could only get a case number from them and a phone number for my service center to call. They would not help me directly. The service center still could not get information so I called back directly again. I was told the case number I had was not usuable and had to start from scratch. I was given another case number and told a return shipping document was in the mail but that my tv would have to be shipped back to them before they would send me out a refurbished tv of the same model. i called my service center just after that and they still claim the parts are on order almost three months later. the tv was purchaed for 676.31 and round trip to the service center is 80 miles Report Your Experience
