Westinghouse

We own the LTV 27-W6 HD widescreen HDTV Westinghouse TV which has scrambled for about 6 months now. The warranty has expired. We bought the TV from Video Only who will not do anything to homor the TV since we bought it in '06. Today we called Westinghouse who said we could submit an RMA# claim and ship the TV to Texas and that they would in turn send us a refurbished TV of similar value to what we have. Ours is in excellent condition other than the fact that it tends to randomly scramble, uncontrollably. To be cont. We don't know what kind of can of worms we are opening now...

We paid 979.19 for the TV, will have to pay to have it shipped to Texas. We hope that we will get something in return..

I bought a 37 LCD monitor from Westinghouse. Just shy of two years old, it stops working and, in fact, begins to smoke whenever I turn it on. Customer service says that, since it is a discontinued model that they no longer make parts for, they will replace it if I ship it to them. Packaging and shipping to California from Tennessee is nearly 200.

So far, it has been five weeks since UPS shows they received the monitor. I've been promised all kinds of things, including a bigger monitor for a replacement, call backs from supervisors and shipping dates that keep getting moved back week after week. Yesterday, after being told it would be another week before it would ship, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General of California. I WILL get their attention.

Bought a Westinghouse LVM-42w2 and was loving it. About 3 months out of warranty it went bad. The DVI ports on it started going all screwy. Had i not been using the ports I might not have minded so much but I had a Home Theater PC hooked up to one and my Digital set top box to the other. I called Westinghouse and they told me the that it was out of warranty but that if I could send it back to then they would still fix it. I was ecstatic to say the least. Pay about 100 to send it back and get it fixed for free even though the warranty is up, I was OK with that. So I sent it in and it did not take very long. Got my unit back in about 2 weeks or so.

Problem was this new unit had two vertical rows of dead pixels. So I called them up to see what could be done. The service rep said that since it was a failed RMA they would issue shipping labels and allow me to send it back for a replacement. Again, I was OK with that. So about 2 weeks pass and I don't have any shipping labels. I had to call 2 more times to get the labels e-mailed to me. Once I finally got the labels I was able to send the TV in to be replaced... a second time.

Well the TV got to them on Oct. 3, 2008 and I still do not have a replacement. I have been calling for the past month!! to see what is going on. I know it was checked into there system on the 7th of October but after that it does not seem like anything has happened. Multiple status requests have been sent out to, from what I have been told, everyone and still nothing has happened. I will be calling them back, again, tonight and if something does not happen i am going to find other ways to get what I want. At this point it is getting ludicrous. I'm not sure what action I can take but at this point I will consider almost anything to get my TV back. I could have almost bought and paid off a new TV by now and I am a poor college kid.

Had my Westinghouse SK-32H240S-B 32 720p LCD HDTV for 30 days and picture begins to flutter. Call Westinghouse and now I have to pay 55.00 to ship it to Tx. There's no service center in New Orleans. What a rip off. DON'T BUY A WESTINGHOUSE!
