The most disappointing purchase I have ever made! Bought a brand new Amana washer and dryer less than 2 years ago and the washer is now useless! From reading in forums and google reviews the control board malfunction is a known issue and they continue to sell them. I live alone and wash about a load a week so it’s not from use! The problem was the drain for spin cycle just continuously drains and won’t stop to advance to spin. This is happening even when you stop it AND the lid is open so you have to unplug it to get it to stop!

22 years ago, I purchased a top load washer and front load dryer in SLC, Utah. They are both working perfectly with no major or minor repairs over that time. I have lived in Colorado 19 years now and don't plan on buying another set for quite some time. Thank you Amana for making such quality products. Whirlpool made a great purchase.

I am having a very bad experience with an Amana stove I purchased last year. The glass on the front keeps sliding off. I’ve had someone come fix it 3 times. I’ve asked to give me a new stove but they insisted on fixing the glass. It keeps falling off. I have a stove with duck tape on it. I can’t bake anything. The glass slides off the door. No one wants to help me with this. When I call the company all they say is I’m over with the warranty. But I tried to get it serviced, no one helps me. It’s disgusting, stressful. Do not purchase this brand. It’s cheap and the service is horrible

One of the worst washer I have ever used. Had it for a little of the a year and the drainage pump went, next the the water pump stop working for the cold water so the washer wouldn’t complete a full cycle and now I don’t know the hell is wrong with the machine. I can say it have been giving me problems non stop.

Bought this Amana washer and no one will even talk to you about it, it is not 6 month used and it won't agitate, most times won't rinse or even spin, totally a 500 dollar junk washer, never buying an amana again and will refer my friends to all others, going to see what appliance they build and will totally stay away from. They should be banned in all countries.

I purchased an Amana-brand AC unit with a heat pump last May. The unit broke down after just one week, and I had my AC company come out to repair it. It ran reasonably well through the summer, but when we turned on the heat in October, it did not work. The AC company attempted several fixes, but we went the entire winter without heat. Eventually, they pushed for a technician from Standard Supply (the distributor) to inspect the unit. He claimed the issue was related to improper grounding at our house. We had the grounding fixed, but the problem persisted.

We purchased an Amana Washer NTW4519JW2 & Dryer from Lowe's July 2024 for a seasonal home. The appliances are seldomly used and certainly NOT abused. Over the New Year holiday, the washer began acting up, stuck on the proverbial drain cycle. According to the internet, this is a well-known defect. A call to Amana was fruitless as they were closed over the holidays, but immediately afterward, we were directed to "customer service" to purchase an extended warranty for $32/month, with a 30-day FREE lookback option. Amana scheduled our repair with a local "Amana Certified" technician. Two weeks later and a special trip to meet the technician resulted in his "no show" after waiting all day.

We bought Amana washer just two years ago and it just recently broke. Now we have to go out and find a new one. But never am ever buying an Amana anything. Sorry but that’s how we feel. Our money down the drain.

I purchased Model #: NED4655EW and Model #: NTW4519JW 3/18/2026 at Lowe's. Both the new washer and the new dryer were defective and 2 hours after delivery, I called Lowe's to schedule pick up and delivery of another Amana w/d set. This was scheduled for Saturday 3/28. The dryer made a loud metal noise, hitting the drum so a screw or part is loose and the washer agitated turns the wrong way; consequently, the clothes are not being clean.

I have a Amana washing machine that is less than two years old and it has broken down.. I didn't buy extended warranty because I didn't think I would need it.. It only had to last the few years that I have left.. I figured it would have lasted at least five years.. Now I have a broken down washing machine and no money to fix it or replace it. Whatever happened to washing machines lasting 10 years? These Amanas are of very low quality.. I would never buy another one..
