2 1/2 years ago we purchased an Asko dryer. This was recommended to us due to limited space in the laundry room. A couple weeks ago the tub stopped turning. The warranty was 2 years so it was out of warranty. We did find this unusual for a supposedly upscale dryer so new to need to be repaired so soon. I called Asko and was referred to a repairman. The estimate was $488 to replace what appeared to be a broken belt. When I heard this I called Asko customer service back to ask if they would consider a good faith repair since the dryer was so new.

The customer service person just said flat out no, it is out of warranty. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied with the reasoning that they would say the same thing.. After going round and round about this I was hung up on. I understand that there was no legal obligation for Asko to fix this dryer but this does speak to the character of the company. I happen to be able to fix things myself sometimes, so I took a crack at it and did find the belt lying on the bottom inside the dryer housing. The belt looked new. I am concerned that it will break again before it should.

After our 'workhorse' dishwasher finally stopped working, we decided to finally spring for a good dependable, quiet luxury brand. We went to Trail Appliances, (a reputable appliance store), where the salesman guaranteed that the Asko brand, though relatively unknown, was made by company that made high end Swedish appliances. It was on sale that week, but still a hefty price tag. We had originally wanted the Miele, but salesman said this was better! We waited anxiously for the registered Asko installer to set it up in our home, as Asko won't allow other installers or appliance repairman to touch their products, (or it voids the warranty).

I have to admit, I was impressed with how quiet it was! I was looking forward to the joy of once again having squeaky clean dishes and cutlery! I had been having to hand wash everything after our original dishwasher conked out, ànd they really didn't feel like they were getting sanitized! I looked forward to putting them all through this new dishwasher, to get my kitchen back to squeaky clean! All seemed good on this project, but when I put regular soiled dishes, casserole dishes, pots, even coffee cups in after regular meals, I was extremely disappointed to see that time after time, food/ drink residues would be left!

Like a previous reviewer, I had to, and still have to check everything as it comes out of the dishwasher. I have to preclean/ presoak dirty dishware/ pots, and the Asko dishwasher still can't handle it!!! I've used detergent referred to by manufacturer, as well as premium dishwasher detergent. Makes no difference, stains and food still stay on, at least something each wash! To say this has been a disappointment is an understatement! Money washed down the drain, and I'm no better off, still handwashing!!! If you haven't bought yet, don't do it!

I had an Asko dishwasher that was only five years old. Came up with a very strange error code. I tried to call the company. I kept coming up with all circuits are busy. I finally submitted a request online and they had someone call me that would not work on Askos. I reached out to at least five technicians in my area and they all said they refuse to work with Asko, that they were extremely difficult to work with so I ended up having to buy a brand new dishwasher.

Parts were missing on arrival of new. C called Esco and they sent us the wrong parts. I gave up after several attempts. Then two years later after the warranty expired, the circuit board broke down and cost us $200 for a check up, then another $900 to replace the circuit board. Should I pay for the repair or just buy a new one. The flame of the gas cooktop is unevenly distributed. Appliances of other brands bought at the same time are working fine. Problem with one appliance could be bad luck, problems with two appliances are related to quality control of the brand.

This is for the Asko dryer. Dryer can barely fit 3 towels. Weird lint trap design. Often has mechanical issues and very difficult to find someone willing to repair these. I would have been better off buying a much better recognized brand. I could have bought 5 of those for what this has cost me after all the repairs.

Dishwasher function is ok. Nothing outstanding. The middle rack is not suitable for cups and drinking glasses. I prefer the tried and true old fashioned design. Cups fall over, one of the rack prongs broke and began rusting after 3 months of not quite daily use. The utensil rack has too many dividers. Tried to replace with generic brands to no avail. I cannot find any old fashioned style racks that will fit the dishwasher. Will plan to purchase a different dishwasher in 2 years.

We have an Asko Dishwasher which is 17 years old and have had good experience with it. We now need to replace it and would prefer to have an Asko; particularly for me, as it has the best basket design. Two of our local appliance dealers are not carrying Askos, but Aitoro's in Norwalk is. We've been told they are not able to provide a replacement now but are expecting a shipment soon. Should we wait to buy an Asko based on our experience or choose a Miele or Bosch instead?

The unit is a complete dumpster fire. The dishwasher control boards (Stop/Start) are almost $900.00 and should be considered a consumable for this $1800 dishwasher. I replaced two within two and a half years. Once under warranty. Considered now a hunk of garbage. I had dishwashers last for at least a decade before this ASKO.

I bought my Asko washer and dryer over 17 years ago. The washer is model W6222 and the dryer is model T712. Both have worked mostly flawlessly. At one point the washer would accumulate a gallon or two of water inside while just sitting, so I started turning on the water faucet only when in use, which "resolved" that issue, though I sometimes forget but the washer no longer accumulates water. The dryer has worked flawlessly always. So, I've never had a reason for a service call and both machines still look great and run great. They have been quiet and dependable. I haven't had the negative experiences that I read on this site. Don't know if I would buy another given those reports since after-purchase service is a very important consideration, but maybe I'll never have to.

I have had my replacement ASKO washer now for 8 years. The first ASKO washer caught on fire during a spin cycle. Sounded like the house was imploding! This thing washes ok, however the materials or rather the housing, is rusting out at the one and only soap dispenser. I have tried for years now to get the front panel replaced. Then I had conversation with a Customer Representative that danced for approximately ONE year. I finally gave up and tried to purchase said front panel only to be denied by someone at ASKO. This company is ridiculously incompetent! Almost $2000 for a rusty mess! ASKO REFUSES TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!

My previous 24-yr. old Asko washing machine was awesome until it died. It washed so well and spun out the water so efficiently that it took little time for any wash to dry. I am extremely dissatisfied with my current W2084W of 3 years. It is often out of alignment and won’t spin. I have to squeeze out the excess water by hand and use the spinning cycle to complete the program. I am so disillusioned that I will never consider Asko again. I am going to replace this machine long before it breaks down, give it away and purchase a Miele instead.

I bought this dishwasher (D5456) based on my parents' recommendation on the brand being good, mainly because it's expensive and they had one. This is so shoddy, the cutlery tray falls out constantly, the inside trays started to rust out and the prongs that hold plates up started to rust out and fall apart. When I sent pics to Asko (outside of warranty admittedly) they said it's something I've done to damage them.

I've had dishwashers for 20 years, namely a competitor that does a double drawer system, and this is the first time I deviated from that one when it stopped working. I get 5 years out of this with problems during it and today the top cutlery sprayer completely fell out. Not sure what Chinesium they make this out of but if they ever had a good brand it's out of the window now in my home. Back to the dish drawer system and Asko is now a dirty word in my house.

Our 8 year old LG dishwasher needed repairs last year, which we invested $500 into, in order to fix. Less than a year following that repair, it needed another significant investment to keep going. Unwilling to keep forking over large sums of $ into an aged dishwasher, went looking for a replacement. After several hours of comparison shopping, we were convinced that the ASKO dishwasher model DBI364IS, was our solution. We purchased it in early September 2024 for $1600, and truthfully, it has been a regrettable experience.

Yes, the dishwasher is quiet, but the tine's placement in the bottom and top racks aren't as useful as it would seem. There is MUCH less space in the ASKO dishwasher than the LG model it replaced in our home (often we need to run the ASKO twice in one evening, to do the same amount of dishes / pots that were done in one load by the LG). And, the outcome isn't as clean. Very few times did something come out of the LG dishwasher dirty. Every piece of cutlery, container, and pot needs to be inspected on exiting the ASKO to ensure it actually is clean.

If you want 10 plates cleaned to perfection, at an expensive price, this is your dishwasher. If you actually want to have your dishwasher clean the pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery from a family of 4's supper, then best to pass on this particular model, and maybe brand. Have not purchased ASKO in the past (in fact, had never heard of it until Sep of this year), and will not be purchasing again.

I purchased my first Asko dishwasher when it was sold by Wolf and never had problems with it until it finally just got old. I again purchased a second Asko dishwasher which was still under Wolf. Three years ago Wolf decided to make dishwashers under Cove. I had two products - my sub-zero ice maker and my Asko dishwasher - both just a couple of months out of warranty. Both appliances are only 6 years old. Wolf stepped up and helped me with the cost on the ice maker. I called Asko and they would not help me and didn't care, only 6 years old and it is going to cost me $400.-$500. So remember this when purchase your next dishwasher.

We loved the Asko dishwasher but speed on it at 3 1/2 years when it started leaking. They only have one company that services their machines and it took them 2 weeks to get to us. They came 3 times before figuring out where it leaked and how to fix it. The estimate to fix it was more than we paid for the dishwasher. I will never buy another asko product again. We will also have to replace the wood floor that was damaged. We purchased a new dishwasher rather than fixing the asko.

I bought an ASKO Dishwasher and Dryer in June of 2020. The Dryer, an ASKO T208H.W Classic Heat Pump Condenser Dyer lasted just under 4 years. I should note I that rarely used it. The support wheels had totally disintegrated and the drum fan needed replacing. It was serviced and returned to me and the machine is now very loud and vibrates when operating. Technician returned and offered to take it back and take it apart and said it was likely that many parts would need replacing, he was surprised the machine was not even 4 years old and suggested I reach out to ASKO. When I rang ASKO and explained the situation the customer service person asked "What do you expect us to do about it?"

We were attracted to the dishwasher because it looked simple & modern. Seller: Trail Appliances. Distributor: Distinctive Appliance Inc. Installed in Dec. 2022. Suddenly stopped working without notice. Called seller (Trail Appliances), referred to the distributor (Distinctive appliance inc) who referred us to the Servicing co. After weeks of confusion, we eventually got an assessment date. That date wasn't for some weeks too. The fault was the main brain of the dishwasher which had to be ordered. In the interim, we called the seller for a loaner machine but they once again asked us to call the distributor who said they didn't offer such. With a significant number of weeks gone without a dishwasher one can't help but feel disgruntled and sad at the choice we made. This is a a thorn in our flesh. We are at the mercy of these people.

(Some customer ordered over 2 months and not received it). Asko customer service was not responsive, avoid purchasing Asko products as they are expensive & short life span.

This company will try to convince you that brand new appliances require repair prior to using them. I previously had an ASKO washer/dryer that worked flawlessly for 12 years. I liked their simplicity of design and decided to replace with the same brand when the dryer broke. I regretted that decision since. The new dryer started making a terrible mechanical rattling noise on the first actual use after installation. The dealer I used had a no return policy, so they sent me to ASKO to deal with the situation. ASKO sent their service representatives who agreed the noise was not normal but had no clue what was going on. They opened the back of the dryer and closed it up leaving one loose screw on the floor behind them. That was the “fix.” The dryer keeps making the same noise. In the meantime, I was washing bedding on a bedding cycle in the washer. This was not the first or second use. This was one month after using the appliance.

One of the drum paddles broke off during the cycle, tore apart my bedding, and left bedding parts visibly lodged all inside the drum. When I called ASKO the service representative said she has been in business for a long time and has never heard of a similar situation where a washer that is designed to wash clothes destroys them. The other rep I talked to confirmed this was one of a kind situation. Despite this, they all insisted this was a routine situation and they were going to fix it. I gave them an opportunity to do so only to have their reps come and replace the paddle without performing any other work on the machine.

Needless to say, when I tried doing laundry after service left, the washer gave me a draining error. I had to manually drain the machine, and manually finish washing my laundry. Since then, ASKO has failed to fix the issue. I have been left without the functioning washer and dryer for a whole month. Do not let yourself be in this situation and stay away from this brand.

I bought a condo with new Asko dishwasher. 1) Warranty is voided with transfer of ownership. 2) This 3 year old dishwasher has already had 2 repairs at least. I wasn't the owner of the first repair but my repair cost the equivalent of 1/2 of a new Asko dishwasher. There could have been more repairs than these 2. I think it's a lemon! Shame on this high end company. Never ever buy an Asko!!
