The complaints below are just a few of the pages of anguished tales we've received from Blue Haven customers. If you are even thinking of building a pool, you owe it to yourself to read and ponder these accounts ... and to read the advice of a former pool salesman.

I have read some of the articles about Blue Haven Pools and would just like to say that myself and quite a few people that I have spoken with have a totally different story. I had my pool built by the Temecula, CA office, and I just have to say THANK YOU to the whole office. They built my pool in less time than they said (just 4 weeks), and they did not take a down payment nor did they require me to pay the last payment until after my equipment was running. I was told that Blue Haven is franchised and one branch to another is going to be different. I can say that I spoke to several satisfied customers in the Temecula area, and I am now a very pleased customer that they can add to their list! My pool is beautiful, and I just want to say I will recommend BLUE HAVEN POOLS to everyone. Thanks to all the staff and workers that helped me be the envy of my neighborhood.

Commercial indoor pool was reworked by Blue Haven Pools of Panhandle, LLC. to a contract price of approx. 45,000. The owner is very good at taking your money and not following up on issues that have not been corrected--and does not give out his cell phone number.... By the engineering diagram, they were to rework our pool from 3.5 to 4.5 feet, however they poured too much concrete and the shallow end is now 2.5 feet. The deep end was also poured too high, and his people spent 4 solid days of jack hammering to take off a few inches. The project is over 3 months behind his original commitment date, and I can't get Doug to return my calls. Of course the contract states that he is paid the entire amount before the commercial inspection takes place, so he has our money and we still don't have use of our commercial pool.

We are a commercial fitness center and were told the pool rework would be complete in about 10 weeks. This was 7 months ago. We normally charge 45/mo for our fitness membership; however some initial contracts were written as 30/month until pool is complete. We have had some members leave the club because pool is still not ready. Also, we may have other issues when the FL Dept of Health inspects the pool later this month.

Kurt came to our home 2x to talk with us about buying an inground concrete pool through his company. on the second visit we signed a contract with the co. and was told that the pool would take 4-6 weeks to finish. 10 months later and several upset contracters we had a half done job. we had a difficult time getting anyone to talk to us.

The hole was dug wrong, the plaster is not perfect, the sun seat that we had put in was too short, the steps inside the pool that they said at contract time they could put in were never done, the light under the diving board is 2ft off center, the 3 lights in the pool are not synchronized, the salt system was not working correctly, the wrong brick was brought out first time, tile work was patched in, had to have re-done, tile 1 yr later is falling off at water falls, caulking around pool which was done 2 mo. after pool was opened was not done correctly and is now seperating from side of pool and we have been told that it is at our expense to have it replaced.

I am a builder and building my personal home. The experience with Blue Haven Pools has been terrible. To get them to come and fix problems has been like pulling teeth.

I can't get anyone to return my phone call. They keep adding and changing information every time there is an issue. I have asked for these documents to be faxed numerous times and still nothing. The general manager even admitted that there were communication problems within his organization and he was working on that. Since then, he has yet to return my phone calls.

I have the subcontractors calling me to see if the rebar is complete and shell placed? Why are they calling me? You have to pay most of the money up front so they have the chunk of money they want, I guess they feel the home owner can wait. I will NOT recommend Blue Haven Pools to anyone in our area. I tried calling the main customer service number and can't get anyone there to return my phone calls either. This was to be an exciting experience instead it has been a major headache.
