Carico Cookware

Launi of Tulsa OK (10/23/08)
I went to a bridal show and then received a call saying I won a free vacation and all I had to do was to attend the Selected Brides show. So my fiance and I went and it was a Carico demonstration. Of course we fell for it and bought 1100 worth of cookware.

After we received this cookware in the mail we used it. I make and eat potatoes every day and I never burn them because they're my favorite food. Well the first time I cooked potatoes in the cookware they burned and stuck in the Carico pan. I was told you cannot burn in the Carico cookware and food will not stick. I was very unhappy so I called to see how to return my very overpriced cookware.

The man I talked to was very rude and told me I could not return it. I was told at the demonstration that I would be able to return the cookware if I was not pleased but the man on the phone swore they do not tell customers that.

He then asked me why I wanted to return it and I told him because my potatoes burned. Next he said the pans don't burn food, people do. I told him I cook potatoes everyday and I had it on low heat so it should not have burned and my pans from Target cook better (because they do). Then he accused me of being rude and arrogant and not being able to pay. I told him I was able to pay because I can afford it...otherwise I would not have purchased the cookware. He again told me I was being arrogant because I said I could afford it and then he told me I needed to apologize.

Anyway, I am still not happy with Carico because they will not return my e-mails and I have not received a statement telling me how to pay for this lousy overpriced cookware.

Patrick of Hopkinsville KY (10/17/08)
This man called us out of the blue and offered us a free Dinner Theater. We agreed to go. He was very chummy and confiding. I thought he was annoying and was on my guard. We had to drive to Clarksville from our place, about 30 miles. Once we got there we entered into the side of his garage into a kitchen restuarant. A very strange little man was waiting for us there. His shameless sales pitch varied between filthy heterosexual innuendos, one time alluding to sex with premature pubescent girls and piches for salvation in Jesus Christ. The high point of the evening was when he turned and farted loudly in our direction. Was that some sort of sick sales tactic by embarassing us? We left as soon as we could find an opening.

My wife and I feel violated. We wasted an entire evening on a false pretext and were subjected to an advanced display of mental and spiritual degradement.

Vidal of Hialeah Gardens FL (10/13/08)
Sometime in January or so 2008, We were approach by a friend that was selling Carico products. After telling her all the horror histories that we've had with a water filter which caused to ruin our credit at the time, She kept insisting that needed the sell because was going through a bad time. Finally we bought a rapid cooker that keeps dripping water and does not gain pressure; even after three attends of replacing the top, I gave up ending up losing 400.00.

We lost a friend, lost our money and lost our time trying to fix the problem.

This incident hapenned in Aguadilla, PR. After 4 hours of dealing with a Carico representative and after he told me that if I did not purchase one of their products, I was told that my nephew was not able to get employment with the company if no purchases were made. I signed a contract. I was told that I had 30 days to return it, if not satisfied. I purchased a juicer extractor. It was not what I expected, and was unable to use it due to pain on my right hand.

I talked to my nephew, who talked to his supervisor, and his supervisor told him that I couldn't return the juicer. He told my nephew that I can exchange it for another product of equal value, but I was not interested in obtaining any other product from a company who I feel misrepresented themselves, and used inappropriate tactics to make a sell.

I made a deposit for 200.00, plus I paid over 30 in attempting to return the juicer by certified mail. Carico refused to accept the juicer and returned it to me. I was also told by one of the workers, when I tried to make a complaint, that no one forced me to sign a contract, and I was obligated to pay.

I am constantly been harassed by Carico. This matter was turned over to a collection agency because I refused to pay over 900 they said I owed them. I am diabetic with history of high blood pressure, and this annoying situation is constantly causing me to get upset and sick.

Natalia of Bayamon, OTHER August 10, 2008

Natalia of Bayamon P.R. (08/10/08)
I been part of Carico Int. for almost 3 years and I'm very upset to read all this nonsense messages. The company has a policy of 3 days cancellation in the back of the same order ticket. Also the company calls every single customer before sending any products and when a customer wants to cancel the order is put on hold until the client speaks with the salesperson and resolves it. If the situation is not resolved the company cancels the order and makes a refund of the down payment. All orders have to be confirmed with the client.

I know there are people that entered the company and it didnt work for them but to tell the truth is not the company is the people. I have known to have a 5,000 and a 1,000 month. The ups and downs are not the companys fault but I. When you work and learn to organize yourself you can make a lot of money. I havent known of a person that works only 2 or 3 days and succeed in any business. Success is not over night it is over time.
