I purchased a top mount refrigerator on 4/22/2006 and have been cleaning the doors with stainless steel cleaner. Over the past year, rust has begun to appear on the freeez and refrigerator doors. I called to ask what is causing the door to rust but was not able to get an answer other than improper air ventalation. The refrigerator works great but is becoming very ugly looking. Is there a product to remove this rust? Is this a defect in the finish? Have other complaints been file?

purchased maytag front loader washer in december, home depot has sent repairman 4 times (2 for consultation 2 for repairs) want to return it and they say no

Sarah of newbury, VT July 16, 2009

my husband and i bought appliances at home depot in lebanon nh when they first opend june of 04.The first order for a refriderator and gas stove and dishwasher and microwave hood for over the stove.when they called us to tell us our appliances were in we went their and to our disapointment the only thing that was okay was the microwave. the refriderator we bought was discontinued the day that we bought it but didn't find out about it until we came to pick up the items the stove they sold to someone else and the dishwasher was the wrong brand along with the stove and the refridgerator.we had to have a refriderator because we were getting married the next day at our house and had nothing to keep stuff cool we had to pay full price for.

we had to reorder the stove we order again by the time we got our stove wich was supposed to be a GE stove priced at around 800 dollars was a 599 dollar hotpoint stove and we didn't get the money back from the difference. know four years later the stove has been worked on more thenfour times it know is triping the breaker and when it trips the breakers it shoots either a flame or a spark out the side of the stove it has even shocked my husband a few times. we have two very young kids we cannot have this stove in our house.

we have tried contacting ge and homedepot but have gotten no were the guy that came to fix it said that we have a mouse infestation when we pulled the stove out there are no mouse dropings that we could see.so they wont give us our money back for the stove because of the mouse problem and the stove is under warrenty for i think another year.we don't even want to try to fix the stove becuse we have had so many problems with it. we want our money back so we can go to another store and get a different one. what should we do about it

Woody of Brandon, MS July 4, 2009

I purchased a new LG French Door style refridgerator to replace my old AMANA. That was a mistake! Had problems with the defrost not working and ice melting and freezing in the tray. The module was replaced, but the same problem returned. We then was given another new Fridge. Same problem, and ice would fall out of the tray when you pulled the bottom freezer door out to gain access to the freezer. After numerous calls and complaints, we were given an upgraded module fridge (LFD22860TT) only to learn we had the same problems. Now the white pieces on top of the doors have broken off, as I see others have had too.

After months and months of calls to LG SErvice, I was finally told, "You are now out of warranty," "We can no longer help you" I wrote then and called them back and said we were not out of warranty when the problems occurred, but since you failed to contact me for repair for months and months, I am now out of warranty? I will never buy another LG appl., and further more will pass my LG problems on to everyone I know!

Darleen of Lapeer, MI June 29, 2009

First we went in to Home Depot to return it, 12-12-06, because the handles on the doors kept coming off & still do, things in frig. keep freezing & after adjusting it down differant times, it still does, and you can't get ice out without cubes and/or shavings of ice on the floor and the rubber mechanism to work the water and ice is so hard and/or stiff, that you think that you are going to break your glass just using it. But they said we couldn't return it and that we had to call a repair co. first, so S. Williamson @ Home Depot gave us a number to call.

So I did and a repair man from A&E Factory Service came out to fix it. But putting differant screws in for handles has never fixed the problem and had no answer for the freezing part in frig. and only told us that poor design was the fault for the ice coming out the way it did, making a mess and the hard rubber mechanisum of the button to push for the water and ice.

I can only say that the tollerance for this machine has reached it's end. We thought that buying a Maytag would be a good decision and appliance, but this has proved to be a mistake on our part. But my husband & I are not happy with Home Depot. I mean come on, [they] tell me just because it is big, a person can't return it? We have learnt not to buy appliances from them any more, and will have no hesitation of telling others of our experiance with them.

E.A of Conway, AR June 18, 2009

On 6/15/2009, I went to Home Depot to shop for appliances. I picked out an Lg range, Lg micro, Maytag dishwasher, and LG refrigerator. I spoke with Christi that day and she gave me a written quote on the appliances. The refrigerator had a price tag of 1499. on it, then there would be 10% off that. When Christi pulled it up on the computer the price was shown as 1599. The quote printed out as 1599 so Christi wrote 1499 on the quote then minus the 10% it was 1349. Christi signed her name by the correct price on the quote and wrote wrong signage on it. She said that way if she wasn't there when I came back, the person who waited on me would know that the refrigerator was tagged 1499.

So 6/17/2009. I went back to Home Depot to purchase these 4 appliances for a total of 3056. Guess what? Home Depot wouldn't honor their own price. Christi wasn't there and I dealt with Jennifer. When I pointed out to Jennifer what was written on the quote and explained about the price tag, she said it didn't matter the quote was only good for 24 hours. (the first I had heard of that and no where does it say that on the quote). She offered to call the manager, Patrick, and I said  go ahead. She told him I was there to buy several appliances and what the problem was. He said I had to pay what the computer said.

I still can not believe that the manager of the store would rather let a 3000 sale walk out the door because they wouldn't honor their posted price. No wonder Home Depot is in trouble.

Louise of Macedon, NY June 17, 2009

I purchased an LG washer and dryer in the cherry red with the bottom drawers and spent alot of money for them. Ive had them for two years and have had the service prople out the make sure the bleach gets to the wash. I have had no luck with the Home depot or the Lg company in fixing this washer. Maybe there is no fix. This washer can not clean my white towels as well as the maytag machine did and I spent considerably less money for it.

I am so sorry and disappointed in this purchase. The machine shows signs of leaking and when I moved to our new home in Jan.2009, when the machine was moved the floor underneath was stained I said it leaked out liguid but it never got resolved.

I can not tell you how this machine is not what I was told it would be and how it would preform. Home depot just passes the buck and Lg wants to just not listen to me when I explain this machine is a lemon. Im so afraid to try another LG machine.

Tammi of Alexandria, VA June 15, 2009

I purchased a dryer to be delivered on May 4th 2009. I canceled the dryer on the 8th. It was never delivered and stopped. It took till May 30th 2009 to secure my refund of 555.37. It took several phone calls, many emails. I was told that the dryer was lost, that they were too busy to get in touch with me. When I finally was totally frustrated and posted on a board for consumer issues, I was told that I was being unfair to Home Depot, by a Home Depot customer relations rep. By taking my complaint to the internet, he felt that I was being Unfair to Home Depot. Since they have returned my money, they also promised me a gift card for 100.00 for my troubles. This has never been issued. I have contacted them concerning this to receive the same customer care that I got when fighting for my refund.
