Phyllis of Cobb, GA July 24, 2009

On two occassions this year we were quoted a price by home depot and they came back saying the cost would be more. 1. Countertops included a sink. We ordered 2700 of countertops and they called later to say it would be 150 more. They ate this 150 when we told them to cancel. 2. Six months later, we are about to put carpet in our home and are given a price for carpet, a price for pad, a price for installation and a price for tear up, haul off. As before, one week later they called back wanting 150 extra for tear up and haul off because we have pets. Our pets do not deficate or urinate in our house, EVER. I can not speak for the residents before us. The carpet is nasty. THAT is why we wanted new carpet.

Buy 3 get 4th MIR for Ralph Lauren Paint at Home Depot. Although I was very careful at the store getting the correct coupon, asking that I had the right paint to qualify and filling in the forms and sending the originals in by mail, on time. My rebate was rejected for invalid SKU or UPC codes. What a waste of time, I avoid shopping at Home Depot in future.

I am extremely unhappy with The Home Depot. I printed out item PC1PAK from their website. The item showed online as 109.00. When arriving at the store they knew nothing of the price and showed me the website that stated it was 239.00. The clerk said I must have changed the numbers around because there was no way that could be the price, sale or not. I left empty handed. Hoping for some resolution I called the 800 number where I was basically told too bad. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and will only end with me now using Lowes instead.

store hours on a sunday were till 8pm. went to the store to be notified that they were closing at 7pm. about 7 customers wondering why the change in hours. i have never experienced a chain store just closing, stranding people without the ability to purchase the goods that they need, in my case a pipe that split.

On 6/14/09 I purchased paint w/ primer mix at the cost of 166 and did not get the color I wanted. Instead, I got school bus yellow. And on 6/23/09 I went and asked what could be done. The salesperson said he could tint it a green color, so we agreed on the green and I went home to get the color I had wanted for the yellow based. Once I got back he ruined the color even more, because now he just added blue to it and it's not green and it is not how I wanted it. I asked him if I could split up the paint and tint a darker color for a gallon or two at my expense just so I could get the paint on the wall. He said the company would not let him do that. So now I'm stuck with five gallons of ugly paint that is going to sit and rot and I still have to spend money on more paint. Way to help the environment.

Seamus of Breezy Brae, Turks & Caicos Is June 8, 2009

I ordered several items, including a special order for 2/0 copper wire, the same as I had purchased a few months earlier. On receiving the order, after shipping it via Tropical Shipping of Miami, to the Turks & Caicos Islands, it was obviously wrong, they sent me bare copper, uninsulated grounding wire. I had the Head Engineer from the local utility company inspect the product, and he confirmed it was only used in grounding.

On contacting the sales assistant, Lisa, from the store, she eventually referred me to the manager and he was extremely unhelpful, tried to blame me and refused to send me the correct product, unless I paid in full. On explaining that I had already endured heavy shipping and customs duty bills, he eventually agreed to a 75% discount, in order for me to get the product I had originally ordered.

I also needed to ship the wrong product back at my own expense and of course have to pay freight and duty on the replacement. It tmeant that 1200 worth of wire has cost me over 3000. I will not shop at Home Depot again and will take this matter further with Home Depot corporate, as I am building a vocational training facility for under privileged kids.

Our company. was hired as a subcontractor to complete installation for the Elko store. We are still owed over 14,000 in back pay dating back to 6/7/2007. The store is severely mismanaged and has had 3 managers in the past 2 years! We are now forced to hire legal counsel to pursue getting the payments owed to us.
