William of Beaverton, OR March 16, 2009
On 11/20/2008 I purchased 26 batts of Owens Corning R-30 insulation at Home Depot in Beaverton, OR. (Total price of 1307.02) I mailed the original UPC symbols, original cash register receipt (with purchase price circled) and completed rebate form to: Owens Corning PGE Consumer Rebate, Attn: Julie Keller, Sales Support 1-A, One Owens Corning Parkway, Toledo, Ohio 43659. This was mailed well before the 12/31/2008 date for them to recieve the forms. I was to receive three 30 Home Depot gift cards.
Attempting to contact a body at Owens Corning, Mark, at 1-800-438-7465 said they only send the rebate requests on to the chain at which the product had been sold. He gave me a number for Home Depot rebates, which was out of date. Finally called 1-866-430-6081 and talked to Alex and then Alex's boss Leo. Leo said he would as a one time favor follow up on this within three business days. I was suspicious, as he hadn't even gotten my phone number until I forced his to write it down. Four business days have passed and when I called back the person who answered does not know of a Leo.
I am now given an address and told to resubmit the forms and wait another 6-8 weeks for them to process it and another 1-2 weeks to receive the rebate. After seeing the results of others on this site, I realize that would also be futile. I WANT MY THREE 30 HOME DEPOT CARDS!!!!!!!!!! David of Kent, OH March 8, 2009
After making the required special order cabinets, appliance, and sink purchase I submitted a rebate for 500. Home Depot Rebate center sends me 1/2 rebate of 250. After hours of calls I was told they did not receive ALL the receipts so they gave me credit for what they had, which is a lie because I purchased everything on one order. In other words, all the items were on one receipt so they lied about missing a receipt for the other items.
I re-sent everything to a different Home Depot Rebate center in Miami per their request and they lied again saying this time that they did not receive the letter. Fortunately I sent everything the 1st and 2nd time through U.S. mail with delivery confirmaton (cost me 7 bucks so far for a free rebate!) and have proof that they received it both times. No resolution as of yet but I might follow the other person's complaint on this site and file in small claims court.
500 paid out of my pocket and no rebate as agreed. So far I am out the money and since I made the purchase on my Home Depot card I have incurred interest since December 2008. Kelly of New Bedford, MA March 1, 2009
What I experienced trying to obtain my Home Depot rebate for 500.00 after spending 6,000 on kitchen cabinets, is so DEPLORABLE that I can't bear to get into it. The Kraftmaid/Thomasville offer insofar as it concerns my rebate is BOGUS!!!! For every item outside the cabinets listed on the offer, you would receive 250.00 back. I special ordered kitchen countertops and a sink (so, 500.00) and they told me twice they had no information. The first time they said the rebate center in Phoenix went bankrupt and I should resubmit it to El Paso, Texas. Again, it was signed for and they insist they have it and I should receive it soon. That was 6 weeks ago and I know I will never receive it. They are bastards and I intend to bring it to court as I have already contacted the Attorney General in my area.
6.50 twice for return receipt on the submission, various phone calls from cell and home phone. I paid the credit card off in full and closed my account as well.

I am another victim of HomeDepot rebate scam. My #59.00 appliance delivery refund request met every requirement & filed on time in august 2008. Three or four times my Check is in the mail. All the excuses that I have read from others have also been told to me! The Ohio Attorney General is now on my case. Does anyone know the phone number for Carol Tome-Chief Financial Officer at Home Depot? Or maybe the CEO? LOWES-HERE I COME!!!

On 6-12-08, I purchased a 3524.26 shed.Home Depot offered a three hundred dollar rebate (100 for every 1000 you spend)on this shed. I received all the information and the rebate form in the mail, along with the address, receipts and instructions for obtaining my 300 rebate. I was sent a 59 rebate check thanking me for the appliance I had purchased. I returned the 59 rebate to the rebate center and a letter explaining the situation. Again, I received another 59 rebate.
I e-mailed the customer service center at The Home Depot and was told to contact the rebate center because there was nothing they could do. I called and called only to get the run-around. I was told to go to the Home Depot store and call. After explaining the situation with the sales associate at special services ( which is where I purchased the shed), he dailed the number and put the phone on speaker. We spoke with a lady named Carla on speaker phone. Carla stated she would look in the archives to find the rebate form and for me to call her in three days. The number she left was a vioce mail of a male, wherefore, I left numerous messages and, to this day, received no responce.
I then wrote the manager of the Home Depot, where I originally purchased the shed, and sent him a copy of all the e-mails, letters, receipts, and even the check, in hopes to get some responce. This was on 11-17-08. I have not heard one ioata of a peep from anyone, to this day , at the Hope Depot. I have concluded, with all the wasted time and effort, the only choice is to contact Action 9, a local TV station that handles consumer complaints and expose the culprits on national television. This will serve them right.

Nov 28 2008 I bought some house paint with a 30% off rebate after two months went by and still no rebate,I started calling the store with no luck. First number that the store gave me was P. Paling, left my name and number almost everyday and never get a returned call. Called the store back, they said try C. Skilling. left my name and number with him as well, sill no returned call.
After 3 months now and 6.00 in long distance calls still no rebate for the paint. Call the store back Feb 23 2009 and there going to have someone call me, but agian, still not even a call back. So, three people I tryed to contact in the last three months, and not one returned call.
Alot of wasted time on my part, just wondering what would happen if I did make a payment on my account for three months. Very unhappy with Home Depot in Windsor, Ontario. not for the money, just the thought of not caring. Best Regards

Bought LG washer in Octorber 2008. Paid 65.00 delevery and was told there was a 65.00 rebate. Submitted form in Oct. 2008 and followed up numberous time and was constantly told didn't have correct information on rebate for. Jan 2009 have Home Depot, Orange City, FL, resubmit rebate form from them and as of Feb 2009 no response for rebate. Check on line and still shows missing information. Told that orignal rebate company went bank bell up. Still waiting. Will never by anything from Home Depot again even though store did what they could do to help. Someone needs to look into the problem.

I just wanted to to say to all the people that they can go on line and file the rebate, and i have never had any problem with them about rebates. So maybe they should start going on line to file the rebate. Much faster and safer.

Purchased Scotts Lawn Products in Sept.2008 with a 20% rebate on sale of 200.00. After 4 months and several excuses from Home Depot Rebate Center I still have not rec'd rebate for 108132 promotion. I trusted Home Depot to honor their promotion. Guess they will pay for it in another way. (less business from the people who built their business) Shame on Home Depot in these difficult times.
